I want to start this post off by thanking each and everyone who has commented, or followed, or tweeted. You are amazing! All of you! Love the support I get from you - and right back at ya! ;)
Are you excited that it's Friday already? I know I am ;) We're going to visit my fiancé's friends and family this weekend, which I'm so happy about - love them.
And speaking about my dear fiancé, today I'm going to introduce him to you a little bit.
Meet my soulmate, best friend and the love of my life, Janne:
Tall, dark and handsome 21-years old man, who makes my day - every day. We have known each other since 2008, but never met face to face until Summer 2009. I may speak only for myself, but it was love at first sight.
You want to know the whole story? Keep reading ;)
We met at a net community, that provides people the place to share their images and facts about themselves. The place was (and is still?) full of different groups you can join into. My friend, who was also using the service, told me about this F1 group I would totally like - she was right there. As a loudmouth that I can be online, I was glad to chat about sports with a group of guys.
Then one day, he (Janne) suggested we'd swap Messenger addresses. Like many of you might hae noticed, I love to get to know people, so I said yes. We talked about anything and everything, but because of the 500km distance between us, neither of us ever thought it would become anything. But we were more than happy being friends.
Then came the Summer 2009. My friend (who introduced me to the F1 group, and, funnily enough, is called Johanna, too) and I had bought tickets to this music festival, where for example Metallica and Linkin Park would play. I contacted Janne immidiately, as the festival was held in his home town. We agreed to see when we'd be in town.
As the summer was closing in, my friends started to claim that had feelings for Janne, more than as a friend. I denied, laughing, and saying we could never be an item, as we were too similar. We had exchanged phone numbers, and we called and texted every once in a while, but I didn't see anything weird with that - unlike everyone else seemed to.
Finally became the day we actually met. I can still remember exactly how he looked, sitting in table with his black leather jacket - I was sold. Time flew by as we hang out that evening, me, Janne, and my friend, and before we knew it, we had to go the concert. He called me after it, asking if I wanted to meet, but I had to say no due to our early wake up the next morning. (Later he confessed he was pretty upset about that then.)
About a week later, Janne called me and said he was going to have two days off from work, and he would use them to see me - even if it meant 5-hour train trip each way. He spent the night at my parents' place, and it became clear to me that I wanted this guy. So the next day, I asked if the night meant to him as much as it did to me.
It did.
I guess it's safe to say that the rest is history. We moved in together (away from our friends and family) six months after we started dating, and got engaged 10 months in the relationship. It means, that as I'm writing this post, we've been dating two years and four months, lived together almost two years, and been engaged for year and a half. We've been through a lot, and have shared our ideas of family, dream home, and of course, the wedding. :)
We spent a lot of time together, and we share a bunch of hobbies, including playing videogames. One of the best ways to spend an evening must be a good videogame, nice movie, and delicious food to go with. As you can see, when we took the photos, we were actually having one of our gaming nights - with tea, I might add.
So, now you know a little something about the amazing man behind me, and how did he come in to my life. I'll be sharing more of him with you in future posts, when I can, but mostly he rather stays behind the camera. (Yes, he's my photographer, and I can't wait to get a better camera for him to use.)
And, the post doesn't stop here. I know I usually keep these short and simple, but I kinda wanted to put my style into this piece too... :D (Yep, selfish little me, I know.)
Outfit of the day
This outfit was inspired by Grace from Haute Couture, and by this outfit, to be more exact. Please check out her blog, she has such an amazing sense of style and awesome writing style. Thanks again, Grace, for the inspiration! You're adorable!
In my outfit, I went more to the camel-coloured direction, but the point is, that the idea for this outfit came while I was reading Grace's post.
Top: Vero Moda, Skirt: H&M, Leggings: Pieces (Only), Faux fur boots: so old, I have no idea where they're from.
I love, love, love those boots to bits. They're my trusty shoes in wintertime. ;)
Then, a bit of nail thing too... I did a manicure I absolutely loved, too.
Check it out:
Manicure of the day
Base: IsaDora Wonder Nail, shade 651, Silver Sparkles.
Top: Make Up Store, shade 002 Asun Sparkling
Clever me, using the Christmas tree as a set for nail photos... :D
