How are you today? ♥
I just got off from school and decided to write this little outfit inspiration post for you. And, before getting to it I want to apologize for the possible lack of outfit posts this month. The busy times, apartment full of boxes and the lack of free daylight hours make taking outfit photos difficult, to say the least. But I'll do my best as this blog is one of the things that really keep me sane. :D
So anyway, today I once again want to embrace my love for TV fashion, particulary meaning the fashion in Gossip Girl. The ones who have been reading this blog for a while know that I have a girl crush and a slight obsession about the character Serena. While I don't necessarily appreciate everything about her nature, I sure love her fashion! So, today, I'll show you how I interpreted one of the looks she had on season five.
I think this look with striped top was pretty easy to recreate with my existing clothes, as the items were kinda basic. I did it again my own way - so this wasn't necessarily meant to be an exact match for the look, but rather my take on it.
Square ring: Gina Tricot
Bird ring: SpiritStore
Excuse the sloppy background. It'll get better once we're all set in the new place. The key items with this look are striped top with long sleeves, and a girly skirt - I would've had one that was more like the one on Serena, but I realized it only days after taking these photos... Silly me.
I wanted to bring a little edge to the look with the pleather booties and lace tights.
And I know the outfit had just red earrings to it, but I switched that (due to the fact I don't have big red earrings) to a long necklace and rings.
What do you think about my take on the look? Is there a look (from any character of any show) that you'd like me to recreate - or at least try to do that? All suggestions are welcome, and I enjoy challenges. ;)
Hat: Gina Tricot
We visited our friend the day I was wearing the Serena look, so I thought we might as well take photos with the coat and hat, too. I didn't wanna make a whole post about that, too, so to save your time, and mine, here are two best shots of the outside look.
I really love that blue coat, it's great for when the weather isn't that cold, and it's so bright I'm always in a great mood while wearing that.
What are your thoughts about this post? And, have you recreated any looks seen on TV shows? Share your thoughts!
Now, I must dash home (I'm currently writing from a school computer) to pack some more stuff - and then some. I already wait for the time when I don't have to stress about every single thing about the move!!
Have a lovely week, everyone! ♥
Blog ya later,
