Colorful Glitter vs. Gold Stripes

Hi lovelies!

How are you all? ♥

I've been busy as usual, with work, life and such. This post was supposed to see the light of day yesterday, but better late than never, right? I've been doing little more organizing at home, and I hope I get to show you some of that soon enough. ;) The reason for that is that as the weather is getting seriously colder, and I have to spend more time inside, so the place needs to look extra nice. Today, we got our first glimpse of winter as it snowed outside. Though, it didn't stay, yet, but it reminded us that the cold season is seriously starting.

Anyways, today I wanted to show you some more nail art. Both manicures today are somewhat geometric, but otherwise totally different.

First, a mint base, triangles, and a milky glitter polish.

I actually loved the glitter polish so much more than I thought I would, it's so unique compared to the other ones I have. But that's just because it's hard and expensive to get the gorgeous indie glitter bombs here in Finland, as most of the best indie makers are based in the US. But, once I have a full-time job, I'm sure I can at least get few. Or, after No Buy months such as this one.

The polishes used here are Essie Mint Candy Apple, China Glaze It's A Trap-eze and Kiss Nail Art Paint in turquoise. I also used tape to create the triangles more neatly.

The other one today is a tape manicure as well - though with this one I simply used striping tape. This is one of the things you can easily do if you want something different, but don't feel like painting something complicated. I promise that everyone can do this, all you need is a striping tape, scissors, two polishes, and a little time.

This kind of manicure is great for any place, and any time, since it's basically just a French manicure with a twist. You can do this with any colors, as long as the one for the tips has enough pigment to cover the other one.

The polishes I used for this were Essie Muchi Muchi and China Glaze Gossip Over Gimlets. I love the China Glaze one, the gold color is simply amazing. I can't wait to use this color again, and I really need to try this for stamping.

So, that kind of simple designs today.

What do you think of these manicures? And which one is your favorite? ♥

Now, I gotta go plan my polish reorganizing tomorrow, as well as get some tea for late night blog reading, so I'll be back later with another post. Stay tuned!

Have a fun weekend!

Blog ya later,

xoxo

Johanna

    1. Thank you Jenna. I think most times a simple manicure is so much more classy and cool than one with super many details. Though many times, I forget that while painting my nails. :D ♥
