#31DC2015 Half Moons & Galaxy

Hello lovelies! How are you? ♥ This blogging month has been extremely slow because I've had so many other things in life. I have a ton of things I would love to write about, but finding the time can be a bit challenging at times right now. Tomorrow (Friday) I will start another fun weekend with the guys, but I will schedule you something to read while I'm offline. In today's post, I will continue the 31-day challenge from last year, because I still haven't posted all the manis here in the blog.

So let's get started, shall we?

The first creation I'm showing today is this half moon mani that took the color inspiration from Halloween (yes, these are that old...). But if you love orange, I don't see why you couldn't rock these around the year.

I kinda really liked the contrast of textures here, and the fact that I managed kind of do a jelly sandwich. (Mental note: jelly polishes are desperately needed!)

The polishes I used were by China Glaze: Home Sweet House Music, Getting To Gnaw You and Rest In Pieces. The half moons were freehand painted and the orange polish was added in super thin layers to leave the glitter showing through.

And next up is galaxy mani. I always love painting these since no two galaxy manis are quite the same. They also get a lot different when the colors are switched around a bit.

I think the glittery base was quite nice here, it shows through the design and gives a nice vibe to the nails.

Like usual, a ton of polishes were used here. Most of them were by China Glaze, like Meet Me Under The Stars, White On White, Snow Globe, Violet Vibes, Too Yacht To Handle and couple other shades I can't remember at the moment. I also tend to add a touch of metallic with Make Up Store Greta, which is a stunning silver holo. Galaxy manis use sponges for the milky ways and such, and dotting tool etc. for the stars. Also, you can paint bigger, twinkling stars with a thin nail art brush.

I hope you liked these designs, let me know in the comments which one was your favorite!

Now, I'm getting to bed because I have to get up early for my workout and weekend prepping. I will also write you a post or two to read while I'm giving my laptop a rest weekend. I will, however, be somewhat active on social media the whole weekend, so stay tuned there to see what were up to. In the next post, I'll be talking about some beauty stuff, and I hope you will enjoy that post.

Have a lovely day ♥
