Last Days of Mini Skirt.

Hey babes,

I hope you've had a great weekend - I have. ;) Why have I lacked posting this weekend? No great reason there, just wanted to chill out with my fiancé, play NHL12 (I'm getting so good at it, yay me) and Sims3 (snap decision purchase, but what a great entertainment) and just do nothing in particular.

We also took a walk today, checking out an area we would like to move to, not too far from where we live now, but more suitable for family life (especially dogs) and with more roomy apartments. Then, all we need is a great loan from bank or a jackpot from lottery. Piece of cake. Not.

As I told you before, I placed an order to H&M a while ago, and got it during the week, only to notice my dresses need to be returned because they weren't what I expect. Not that there was anything wrong how they looked, but they didn't fit me. I'm size XS or S, depending a bit on the label (that's 34 on Finnish sizes, about 6 in UK sizes and about 4 in US sizes (I think)), but sometimes, my chest thinks it's oversized for XS clothes. Like with the dress number 1, which is beautiful white strapless lace dress. Perfect fit, but when zipped up, my ribs can't breath. (yep, you read right.) Then, dress number 2, same dress with tank top shoulders, and in gray. When I satnd straight, like any sane person should do always when possible, it makes this weird lump on my back. The fabric, that is. Not great.

I was very disappointed as the dresses were very pretty on the HM.com, but luckily, I found a new and better one already ;) So no hard feelings on sending those two back to where they came.

Okay, too much complaining... Here's what I wore yesterday:

Leather jacket: from fleamarket (Only) Scarf: Someone's old Top: H&M, Skirt: H&M, Boots: Kenkä Cosmos Rings: GinaTricot, Feather earrings: H&M.

I try to take advantage of the last days when i can still wear short bottoms and not freeze to death. I love that skirt so much I can't put it away for the whole cold season. Not that I don't like jeans, I just prefer skirts and shorts. Well, I'll have to be creative with tights and leggings, then.I don't know if it looks anything like it did in real life, but the jacket and the skirt looked like they were meant to be worn together when I put them on. (In case you didn't know - which is unlikely - I love, love, love black leather!)

And the rings in the pictures were this great bargain from GinaTricot, they had this one stand where all the accessories were 75 percent off (that's right, 75 percent off) so naturally, I had to check it out. That would've normally cost me 7,90 euros, but because it was a sale item, I payed 1,95 euros.

Not bad, right?

Anyways, today, I noticed that my nail colour was starting to fall off. (Note to all you lovely readers out there, I'm a bit... neurotic... when it comes to nails. I think my nails are ruined if there is a smallest mistake, flaw, rip, or anything in them. This time, it wasn't a big deal to anyone but me - once again.) so I needed to make a totally new manicure.

And what I say now, may come as a surprise for you: I'm very often consulting my fiancé when doing a new manicure, not that I don't have any opinions, but it's a great way to not repeat myself too many times in manicures. (plus, believe it or not, guys have absolutely great ideas with colours sometimes) So, I asked him, and that's what I ended up doing:

Manicure of the day

Like in the previous manicure I showed you, I taped the tips of my nails, then painted the rest of the nail white. one coat was enough.

Then, before removing the the tapes, two thin coats of neon orange. (the white was there to give some extra kick to the neon. Old trick ;)) Removing the tapes BEFORE the whole thing is totally dry. (Not sure, but this might work even if you'd wait that the polish dries properly. I'm just not patient enough, and, the tape doesn't feel too comfy.)

Before showing the result, here's the products I used. Mavala, 49 White. H&M, Neon orange. IsaDora Wonder Nail, 651 Silver Sparkles. (Gosh, I seriously had forgotten how much I love that silver IsaDora... Need to get one in gold too. ASAP.)

Oh, and I used a top coat to finish it off, this time, testing Depend's own, no clue what it's like but surely we'll all know in few days ;)

And that's the look. Yes, colours made up by my fiancé. This time. Usually by me. :D But he was just thinking about his quite new T-shirt when I asked and he just said "Orange and gray would be nice. No, make that silver, kinda like the purple one you just had." At first I thought it would be a mess, but decided I'd try anyway.

And just look how cool it is!! ;)

What's the latest new thing you've done with your nails? Dare to share?

I hope you'll all have a fabulous week, I'll hope to get my next "personal style" post up this week if I'm not too tied up with school. ;)

Blog ya later honeys!

xoxo

  10. Moikka,

Söpö asu ja vieläkin söpömmät sulkakorvikset ! Tykkään suuresti ;) Tosi kaunis manikyyri, en oo itse koskaan kokeillut tuollaisia kynsiä.. Pitää kai niitäkin testailla joskus ;)

Kiitos kommentistasi..
