She’s back (I think)

Hey my people. I don’t know if anyone checks back here anymore - I don’t blame you if you don’t, because I pulled yet another disappearing act. But you may know I’ve been active on my IG, so a proof of life has actively been provided!

Life has been a lot for a while. And not all in a bad way either. Last time I checked in was over a year ago, when I talked about books. I’ve still been reading, quite a bit. This year, I’ve already read nearly 30 books, and we still have 4 months to go (and some awesome book releases to come too!).

I also started a new side job at Necros Fragrance - which is my bestie’s own brand she’s built by herself (and I’m so proud of her). I do some social media management etc. to help her out. It’s fun, it’s challenging and obviously I feel the pressure to do well because I want her to succeed more than I want myself to succeed (soul sister things).

I’ve kept up my gym routine. I upped my workouts from 2 to 3 times per week, we change my routine up every few months with my trainer, and I can finally see the consistency paying off. The muscles are growing, the strength is gaining, and at this point both my body and mind are looking forward to each session. One could say I’m positively hooked.

I had health issues. I was diagnosed with a bad case of anemia (super low ferritine) in October, caused by my very heavy periods, caused by a myoma residing inside me. So that fucked up my whole body, hindered my fitness journey and gave me massive mental health struggles. As of now, my ferritine is back to somewhat humane levels, and I feel alive again. I also had to go to therapy for a few weeks for everything that’s been going on. It was great, and actually helped me a lot.

Unfortunately for some, the rounds of therapy had me analyze myself and my surroundings a lot. That combined with the confidence (and maybe a touch of delusion) that the strength training gives me actually makes me an annoying woman. And by annoying, I mean non-pleasing, self-assured, opinionated and strong (mentally and physically). This is something I could write a whole another post about, but in short, it means I trust my pattern-recognition more, and when I see a pattern I don’t like, I pull away from it - no matter whose pattern it is. My trauma reaction would be to try to fix people, and to solve their problems, but if someone enjoys their distress and the attention it gets to them… Nothing I can do about it.

But what I can do instead is re-kindle my old hobbies. Like sewing. Nail art. Drawing. Painting. Crafts of all kinds. All things I would like to start talking here in the blog again, regardless if anyone reads it or not - honestly I won’t be bothered to check statistics, most likely.

So, all this ramble too say… I want to start writing again. And only way to do it is, well, to do it. Can’t be a writer of any kind without writing. What you should expect in the near future is random rambles on topics that happen to spark my interest/curiosity/rage at any given time. And sharing my crafts, which is in the name of the blog, too. To help myself get started, I actually bulk wrote a few little posts to be scheduled. I won’t give more clues, you just need to check back on a later date.
