Thrift Haul ♥

Heya lovelies!

How are you all? ♥

I'm super happy today because of many things, one of them being the fact that tomorrow (well, today as I'm typing this at night) is a holiday here in Finland and that means a day off to spend with my man. Love it. Also it means we can actually take photos during the day which is super fun.

Today, however, I really wanted to share this thrift haul. I know many bloggers don't maybe show secondhand stuff because it's not chic enough or whatever, but I love going through thrift stores, secondhand shops, flea markets and such in hopes of finding nice stuff for a great price. On the weekend, me and my girl K went thrift shopping, and we found so much good stuff I can't even believe it. Naturally, I can't show you the goodies my friend got, but you sure can see my haul below:

 photo DSC09039Large.jpg

The shoes were new (though in sale) but all the other things are secondhand. Guess the total for all these? (I'll tell you the answer at the end of this post.)

 photo DSC09012Large.jpg

Because my closet lacks proper basics, I was happy to find this grandpa shirt. It's soft, grey and amazing.

 photo DSC09014Large.jpg

Yet again, a necessary basic. I've been wearing this one today, and I totally love it.

 photo DSC09015Large.jpg

Basic top that is easy to incorporate even into rock chic looks.

 photo DSC09018Large.jpg

Text print top. I've wanted one for long but haven't met the right one. Until now. "Love never fails". True.

 photo DSC09023Large.jpg

Unhealthy leopard print obsession? Probably. But I just love the print.

 photo DSC09029Large.jpg

Print I haven't tried out before: zebra. With little zebras. In pink. Need I say more?

 photo DSC09026Large.jpg

And even more leopard print. Because I'm insane.

 photo DSC09030Large.jpg

Overly cute scarf with pastel skull print. Had to have it. Obviously.

 photo DSC09032Large.jpg

And last thing from thrift store: A gold and black necklace. Simple and pretty, and I can guarantee you will see this one in outfit posts.

The total before the shoes: little under 15 Euros.

 photo DSC09036Large.jpg

We also went through many "normal" shops with new things. But when we saw Spirit Store having a final sale, we had to get in for a peek. And it was worth it, because I found these beauties for 6 Euros. Yeah, leopard print and studs. You know me.

 photo DSC09037Large.jpg

And I also got these boots I had been eyeing for a while for about 24 Euros. Which isn't a bad price for shoes either.

So that kind of a haul this time - I totally need to get stuff away from my closet because of these but I don't really mind, because change is good, right?

Let me know what you think about my finds! Are there others out there who enjoy thrift shopping? Comment below and tell me ♥

Now, I'll go get some much needed sleep so I can at least try and look fresh tomorrow when we actually have time for outfit photos. But talk to you later!

Have a lovely day, guys!

Studs vs. Leopard ♥

Hello ladies and gents!

How are you all? ♥

Today has been such a great day, I've been so energetic and gotten so much done - like car things, clean up, laundry, makeup pictures, outfit photos... I can't believe I'm feeling so good with only some little changes in my life. I was actually supposed to sit down and type this earlier, but I got caught up with all the other things so I am, again, writing a post in the middle of the night. Quite literally, as it is past midnight already.

Anyway, what I wanted to share with you was couple of new nail art designs, both in lovely mint color but other than that, they're pretty different.

 photo DSC08472Large.jpg

First, a simple studded mani with glitter accent nails. Not much to say about it really, just something that was nice to wear.

 photo DSC08455Large.jpg photo DSC08458Large.jpg photo DSC08479Large.jpg

The shades I used here were China Glaze At Vase Value and It's A Trap-Eze! I really haven't used It's A Trap-Eze enough, it's such a gorgeous milky glitter polish that builds up nicely with 2-3 layers and looks pretty multidimensional in a way.

 photo DSC08459Large.jpg photo DSC08623Large.jpg

And yes, they're still my fingers, I just had some self-tanner on in between so my skin looks darker. Anyway, after such a long time, I made another leopard mani. I know you guys see a ton of these here, but that's really something I like to paint.

 photo DSC08612Large.jpg photo DSC08636Large.jpg

I really liked the color scheme here. It's not very typical - for me at least, so it feels nice to show this here.

 photo DSC08625Large.jpg

The polishes I used were China Glaze Highlight Of My Summer, Elephant Walk, Gossip Over Gimlets, Snow Globe, Essie Licorice and IsaDora Glowing Beetle. I also used a dotting tool to help out with the print.

 photo DSC08616Large.jpg

So that kind of things today. I really hope you liked these, tomorrow I will have a bit of a thrift haul for you, so definitely stay tuned for that!

Let me know what you think about these designs, and you can also tell me what colors you are rocking on your nails today!

Now, I gotta go hit the bed so that I can get up nice and early to do more laundry and stuff.

Have a lovely day ♥

Colorful details ♥

Hello everybody!

How has your week started? ♥

Mine took off with getting a shot for our trip abroad, not that we're going anywhere exotic, but still. Also, the weekend was amazing because we got to see our friends and did fun stuff and all that. Thank you K & A, we had a lot of fun! Last night, I was supposed to write this blog post, but instead was trying to cheer the Finns to win the ice hockey championship. That didn't happen, but when I was done watching the game, it was so late I couldn't think about blogging o using the laptop at all.

But now I'm here, and I really wanna share this outfit with you.

 photo DSC08519Large.jpg

This is from tiny bit colder days, but this week it's going to be rainy so this is sort of appropriate anyway. Very basic look, just spiced up with the colorful details like the name of the post tells you.

 photo DSC08575Large.jpg photo DSC08563Large.jpg photo DSC08534Large.jpg photo DSC08566Large.jpg photo DSC08545Large.jpg photo DSC08584Large.jpg photo DSC08516Large.jpg

Jeans: Cubus Top: secondhand Jacket: H&M Sneakers: Boohoo Bag: Boohoo Necklaces: Gina Tricot Bracelets: Gina Tricot, DIY, gift

So that kind of a look this time. I'm happy to tell you that this weather totally makes me wear so many different kinds of outfits, which naturally means many, many more posts to see here. Tomorrow, I will post another nail art post and later this week you will see things like thrift haul and another outfit post (maybe even more things if I just have the time).

Let me know what you guys think about this look, and tell me what colors you have been wearing lately, in the comments below!

Now, I need to head out to get some food for us, but I'll be back soon!

Have a fabulous day ♥

Sunny Day With Hawaiian Tropic ♥

Hello lovelies!

How are you all? ♥

It's so nice and sunny here in Finland and I've been enjoying my free afternoons outside - except for today, when I've had like a thousand things to do inside. Boo. But today, I really wanted to share this quick little post with you, and on the bottom, there's a little surprise for my Finnish readers (sorry my international friends, but this wasn't up to me).

The following products have been sent to me as a collaboration. However, the opinions are my own and I don't post about things I don't like or approve of.

 photo DSC08782Large.jpg

Few days back, the mailman came with this package I didn't remember ordering. What was inside?

 photo DSC08780Large.jpg

A lovely basket from Reddville SheSocial, who have this nice campaign with Hawaiian Tropic that I was lucky enough to get in along other great bloggers. I received four delicious smelling products that are said to pamper my skin during and after sunbathing. Well, after smelling them through, I totally agree that they smell amazing. And yesterday, I actually put three of these to the test as I was having my first proper beach sunbathing of this summer.

 photo DSC08882Large.jpg

First, I started with a clean and dry skin, and applied a layer of the Tanning Oil. Now, for those who don't know, this isn't a self-tanner or anything, but it is - I think - to help you get a tan a bit easier or so. I've never tried this before, so it was pretty exciting. This doesn't have a sunscreen in it, so I wouldn't leave the house without a sunscreen. This one smells like coconut and it feels pretty good on the skin.

 photo DSC08886Large.jpg

At the beach, I had this low protection Dry Spray Oil with me. It has SPF 10, which really, to me, is very low, but for the sake of experimenting, I reasoned it's enough for now. This also smells like coconut, so I didn't feel weird putting this on top of the tanning oil when the sun started to feel a bit too hot on my skin.

 photo DSC08888Large.jpg

After the sunbathing, I got home and washed off the oils from my skin. They were pretty easy to clean, even with the dry spray oil being water resistant. Then, I added the After Sun Moisturizing Lotion, which felt pretty soothing on my skin, and it smells like tropical fruits with a hint of aloe vera. So it's a nice product to add on the previously sun-kissed skin.

The one I didn't get to try out so far is the SPF 30 Sunscreen, but it feels nice, and it smells pretty tropical as well, so I can definitely see myself trying that out later this summer - maybe already this weekend.

Summer Colors From Makeup Revolution ♥

Hey lovelies!

Hope you're having a lovely week. ♥

Guess what? Today I'm gonna show you a little something I already introduced a little on my Instagram yesterday - my latest makeup haul. It's full of colors, so if you're not into that, I recommend checking back later. ;)

However, to the haul:

 photo DSC08836Large.jpg

So, two palettes and five lipsticks from Makeup Revolution. I saw their products on one of my blogger friends' IG and immediately had to check them out. You guys know how much I like budget products such as MUA Cosmetics. Well, this is kind of similar, except the products have different colors and are a little different. As I wear MUA stuff about daily, I figured I'd give these a try as well. So I ordered these all, and my total before shipping was only £13.

 photo DSC08837Large.jpg

First, let's take a closer look to the lipsticks. I ordered the whole Scandalous Lipsticks collection as the colors are something I've been wanting to try out. I know I'm going a bit crazy with the makeup trials but try to be patient with me.

 photo DSC08840Large.jpg

The pink is called Crime, it's a bit darker and more purple in real life, I'd say, and not quite as fuchsia as it looks here. Pretty lovely color, anyways.

 photo DSC08842Large.jpg

The purple one, named Depraved, is very interesting looking shade of purple - which I'm pretty sure I'll be using for some more edgy looks later on.

 photo DSC08845Large.jpg

From the even crazier side are the last three, first of which I'm showing you Felony - the yellow one. I've been trying to create nice lips with this, but so far I haven't been successful. It's a beautiful color, but at least mine is so sheer that the natural pink of my lips comes through too much. I'll work out the proper primer for this, and I'll get back to you.

 photo DSC08847Large.jpg

The bold orange one, Vice - which I tested out already and liked quite a lot. The shade is very wearable and gives good enough coverage.

 photo DSC08853Large.jpg

And last but not least of the lip products: The blue one, which is called Immoral. I absolutely love this shade and the name, and can't wait to figure out the look this goes together with!

 photo DSC08863Large.jpg

Here you can see quick swatches of all of them on the back of my hand. From left to right: Crime, Depraved, Felony, Vice and Immoral. I will do proper lip swatches of these next week, but stay tuned on Instagram for sneak peeks.

 photo DSC08838Large.jpg

Next, let's go into the eyeshadows. These are seriously so, so bright and I can't wait to create crazy eye looks with these. Also with these, you can already find one look on my IG profile, where I post stuff that doesn't make it (yet at least) into the blog.

 photo DSC08864Large.jpg

This palette is Redemption palette Matte Brights. They really are matte (yay, no shimmer!) and they are really bright. The palette has 12 different shades, all of them bright and pretty amazing.

 photo DSC08867Large.jpg

And here are the colors swatched, without any primer or such. So they might be even more vibrant if used wet or with primer.

 photo DSC08872Large.jpg

And last, but certainly not least, Redemption palette Acid Brights. This one is an amazing neon/brights palette with great selection of colors. With this, I've already created one eye look, and there will surely be many more.

 photo DSC08876Large.jpg

And here are the swatches. Pretty amazing even as they are, but they get so much more vibrant with primer and such. I'll create some looks later here for you to see, so definitely stay tuned for that.

So, let me know what you think about this haul in the comments below. You can also throw in suggestions of looks with the products here, and I can try and make some pictorials or something.

Now, I'm off to bed, but tomorrow, I will give you a sunny little post with a little bit of a surprise. So see you in few hours or so.

Have a lovely day! ♥

Weekend Treat: Hazelrock Coffee ♥

Hello loves!

How are you? ♥

Today has been a fantastic day despite yesterday's devastating news, we got lots of things done and I'm getting my drive finally back. I planned how I'm going to do our balcony for the summer the coming week, figured out some ways to make our place more neat, and also wrote down many outfit ideas. And as the weather is being amazing, tomorrow will definitely include running in the morning and some sunbathing in the afternoon before work.

And I will probably use a little bit of caffeine to help me out there. I don't drink my coffee black as I don't like it like that, so I usually drink tea, but lately I've been so excited with all these flavoured coffee drinks, which I create with this set:

 photo DSC08419Large.jpg

Monin Flavoured Coffee Set. My mom bought me this about two months ago and I've been obsessed with it ever since. It includes five different flavours of syrups, and they can be used for like infinite number of drinks, I suppose.

 photo DSC08421Large.jpg

The package itself comes with few instructions, so if you don't know how to start, you can seek help from there. Don't think you can make that pretty drinks at home? Well see my creation and think again. ;)

 photo DSC08422Large.jpg

Hazelrock

30 ml Monin Hazelnut syrup
120 ml milk
1 coffee (50 ml), cold!

Fill a tall glass with ice cubes (I used wine glass, as it's the best I have).
Add Monin syrup and milk.
Gently pour cold coffee over mix until it forms layers.
Serve.

Sounds easy, right? Also, you can use any syrup here, depending what flavors you prefer.

 photo DSC08423Large.jpg photo DSC08426Large.jpg

And in the end, you should have something like this in hand. I usually mix it all up before drinking, as the syrup is in the bottom and all the coffee on the top. But before mixing, it has these beautiful layers. I totally love how this tastes, and could drink this so, so often. I also don't use as much syrup as the recipe, but rather like half of it or little less. It's a bit more healthier and not overly sweet.

If you'd like more recipe posts, let me know so in the comments! Also, if you have nice coffee recipes, hint them to me so I can try them out ♥

Now, time for some TV and videogames before sleep, and tomorrow I need to start the day early with a workout and all. Hopefully I have time to post for you tomorrow, but if I don't, it's because I'm spending time outside in the sun.

Have a lovely day!
