Foodie Post: Gluten Free Pasta Dish

Hello lovelies!

I hope you're all having a nice Wednesday. ♥

Today, I really wanted to share a recipe with you. This, again is a gluten free one, and I'm hoping that I can show you through these posts that making all your favorite dishes is probably possible even as gluten free options. I'm so happy I haven't had to give up pasta altogether, because it is one of my absolute favorite foods in the world. And this recipe was pretty spot on.

Original recipe from Allrecipes (click!), but I modified it a bit for my own taste.

Spaghetti with Meat Sauce & Mushrooms
2 servings

2 teaspoons olive oil
2 tablespoons and 2 teaspoons minced onion
3/8 clove garlic, minced
2 teaspoons butter
5 ounces lean ground beef
1/8 teaspoon white sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon dried mint
3/8 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
5/8 (10,5 ounce) can beef broth
3/4 teaspoon dried basil

5 ounces spaghetti (gluten free)
1/4 teaspoon olive oil
1 tablespoon salt
rocket salad for garnish
grated parmesan cheese for garnish

small can mushrooms (or fresh ones)
tablespoon of butter

1. In a large skillet, warm olive oil over low heat; saute onion and garlic until onion is transparent.

2. Stir in butter and increase heat to medium; brown beef until no longer pink. Mix in sugar, 1 teaspoon salt and mint. Lower heat and stir for about 3 minutes.

3. In a large bowl, combine tomato paste and broth; pour liquid ans basil to pot. Simmer over very low heat for about two hours (or less, if you're making this kind of smaller portion), stirring occasionally.

4. Bring a large pot of water to a vigorous boil with salt and olive oil. Slip spaghetti into water holding on to ends until strands soften a bit. Cook over high heat for 7 to 8 minutes (or what your spaghetti tells you to).

5. Heat up the butter in a small pan, and cook the mushrooms in it.

6. Serve the sauce and spaghetti with mushrooms, rocket and parmesan. Enjoy!

Who says gluten free cooking is hard? I refuse to believe that.

I hope you enjoyed this little recipe post. If you try this out, let me know what you think about it. Now, I'm hitting the bed and catching some energy so that I can finish writing a case report in the morning. See you later!

Have a fabulous day ♥

90's Vibes ♥

Hey everyone!

How are you today? ♥

I'm currently a bit under the weather due migraine this morning, but I think getting all the school things in order and having some calming tea will totally fix that. I have a quite long list of things to do, one of which I had to cancel because of the headache. I know, sitting on a computer won't probably make me feel better but on the other hand writing here always soothes me. I'm so excited to almost have the year finished, and once I start my internship the evenings will be off anyway, so I can actually schedule my life better after a while!

Today, I wanted to show you this outfit I wore a while back. It was very much inspired by 90's grunge era, and it's the type of look I could wear even more often than I already do.

Leather jacket: H&M Sweatshit: Gina Tricot Plaid Skirt: SpiritStore Bag: Mango Boots: Skobox Necklaces: Gina Tricot, gift from friend Rings: Gina Tricot Scarf: secondhand

This is a very casual kind of outfit that probably divides opinions quite a bit, but then again, that's not a bad thing in my opinion. I know I wear a lot of clothes that many others dislike, but that's the fun part in fashion - there are options for all the different people. I've found few awesome rock vibe items from the thrift stores lately, and I get wait to have them all in my outfits in the near future.

But anyways, I need to start sorting out my wedding invites so that I can mail them all today - I will be posting something about them next week, as I'm pretty excited to share some details of our big day here on the blog. But I will be talking to you again tomorrow, as I don't have any homework anymore this spring. Yay!

Have a fabulous day, lovelies! ♥

With My Truck ♥

Hello my lovelies!

How are you all today? ♥

I'm super happy because I signed my internship papers a couple of days ago, so my summer will be spend working with marketing stuff - and I also get a giant monkey off my back as this will cover most of my mandatory internship for the degree. Now I just need to get few exams, one case and some other stuff done, and then I can officially say I'm on the smaller half of my studies. I'm so happy to finally feel like I actually can graduate and that I am on the right track with the business studies.

And that also makes me a better blogger, because this inner peace gives me new energy to write. At least, once I get through my exams. I will have a couple more later in the spring/in the early summer, but that won't bother me too much.

Okay, enough school rant? I think so too. Maybe we should proceed to the outfit of the day?

Simple look with a lovely shirt I hunted from a thrift store. I love absolutely every item in this outfit, and I think they play along quite nicely. The truck was a perfect backdrop for the photos, as it was pretty unusual - and more interesting than a plain parking lot.

What do you guys think about this look? Let me know in the comments!

Now, I'm gonna go hit the bed as it's 1am, because I've deserved a good night's sleep after all the video shooting and other stuff today. More on that probably later on, but now, I need my sleep. Talk to you very soon though!

Have a wonderful weekend ♥

Blogger Night with Timanttiset & Pandora ♥

Hello lovelies!

How are you doing today? ♥

I've been enjoying a day off with editing photos and binge-watching Sex and the City for many hours now, but I'm also just getting ready to run some wedding errands soon (seriously I can't believe I will be posting our invites this week!). As we are going to check out some rings for July, I figured it's the perfect day to post about the blogger event I was invited last Thursday.

DSC06543 (Large)

On Thursday night, a bunch of bloggers from Tampere got together at Timanttiset City Kulta to socialize, network and most of all learn a thing or two about jewelry. Most specifically, we got to hear quite a lot about Pandora's beautiful line of jewelry.

DSC06544 (Large)

Even though I had heard about Pandora and had seen their advertising in many places, I myself wasn't very familiar with the brand before. What I learned was that they make such a variety of jewelry - there's something for practically everyone. I also love that their charms are so detailed!

DSC06547 (Large)DSC06556 (Large)DSC06593 (Large)DSC06552 (Large)

I like the fact you can get different bases for your jewelry, there's everything from the sweet silver things to the edgier leather bracelets, which to me creates a fantastic variety when creating your own jewelry. I also spotted some charms that were pretty irresistible (meaning I will go get them sooner or later).

DSC06565 (Large)DSC06566 (Large)DSC06576 (Large)DSC06595 (Large)

When looking at these adorable pieces it amazes me how they're all handmade by artisans. Just, wow. Pretty impressive, isn't it?

We got to plan and try out our own jewelry there as well. they were generous enough to gift us the basic silver bracelets, so we can all start creating our own dream bracelets with the charms we collect. I personally made up something like this:

There were to much lovelies to choose from, and I started putting mine together with the pink flamingo. Although this one is very simple and all, I think I will end up with a bracelet full of adorable little charms.

I also spotted some other goodies in Timanttiset, like bracelets and watches (see below).

If any of you lovelies live in the Tampere area, head out to Timanttiset City Kulta and mention you are my reader, and they will give you a discount of -25% from a product of your choosing. You can get this offer until 31th of May, so go on and shop!

Big thanks to Timanttiset and Pandora, for hosting this lovely evening full of jewelry and amazing blogger ladies! It was such a fun event and I absolutely loved meeting other bloggers. Hopefully there will be other events like this in the future!

Have a fabulous day! ♥

Foodie Post: Fruit Smoothie ♥

Hello lovelies!

How are you all? ♥

Today it's time for a super quick post, as I'm just sharing a super simple smoothie recipe I loved doing a while back when testing our new blender for the first time. This on makes a nice dessert, breakfast or even a light lunch, and it helps out if you have a bad craving for sweets but don't want so much (added) sugar.

DSC05667 (Large)

Fruit Smoothie
2 servings

1 peach (peeled, diced)
1 dl (0,4 cups) raspberries
1,5 dl (0,6 cups) orange juice
1 banana
0,5 dl (0,2 cups) ice

Put everything in blender, and pulse through until smooth.

DSC05668 (Large)

So there, a fun quick recipe that's super easy to do. I love smoothies and will start doing those more in the summer as we get more domestic goods to use in it. So stay tuned for more recipes!

Now, I will go catch some well-deserved sleep, and hopefully tomorrow evening, I will have a bit longer post here for you. See you later my loves!

Have a lovely week! ♥

Roses vs. Leopard ♥

Hello lovelies!

How are you all today? ♥

I'm currently in the middle of making some notes for tomorrow's exam, while also taking some time to read all my favorite blogs. Soon I can finally stop with the school things for a while and actually focus on more fun things, like our wedding preparations and my internship and so on. I'm so, so excited for this summer, as I have many fun things to come and to write about.

But today, I would love to talk to you guys about nails. I have couple of new designs to show, and I can say I love these both quite a lot, even though I say so myself.

DSC05328 (Large)

So first up is this floral mani with simple accent nails. I saw something like this on Instagram and of course had to make my own set for fun. This one was pretty easy to do with free hand, I just needed a thin nail art brush for the smallest details and that's it.

DSC05341 (Large)DSC05337 (Large)

This was pretty classic kind of mani (I think) with not that much going on, but that's kind of what I love about it. I'm guessing we might see many more this kind of things in the future, once I find colors that inspire me enough.

DSC05346 (Large)

Colours I used were China Glaze Grass Is Lime Greener, White On White, I'm Not Lion, One Track Mind and Feel The Breeze. The rhinestones are from Born Pretty Store.

DSC05335 (Large)DSC05501 (Large)

And because I clearly couldn't get enough of the navy blue, I used it in another mani as well. This leopard number was fun to wear and kinda really pushed me out of my comfort zone as far as colors go.

DSC05535 (Large)DSC05511 (Large)

If the previous mani only used nail art brush, for this I only used a dotting tool. Goes to show that you can use pretty simple tools to create lots of fun designs. While I guess that the real artists use all sorts of brushes, I can honestly say that I use about three brushes and six dotting tools (three more often than others) to do 90% of my nail art. Then there are also all sorts of tape things and all that jazz, but when it comes to painting things, those are what I use.

DSC05528 (Large)

Colors I used were China Glaze Desert Sun, One Track Mind and Rest In Pieces. Rectangular studs are from Born Pretty Store

DSC05507 (Large)

These two are currently strongly at least in top 10 for my nails I've done this year. Of course that can change any time, depending what colors I will find and how inspired I will get, but I think these might be quite strong favorites this year.

What do you think about these nails? Let me know in the comments! ♥

Now, I will try to make good notes for myself so that I could actually make it through the test. Only three weeks until my summer start, hooray! So see you all soon with a food post, I believe!

Have a fabulous day ♥

Repeat Offender: Plaid Shirt ♥

Hello everyone!

How are you lovelies today? ♥

I'm currently getting ready for school - though luckily it's an exam day and I don't need to be overly fabulous. Yesterday went by with a stomach bug, which I'm guessing was caused by the high stress levels I'm dealing with at the moment. I need to get a huge amount of things done this month, but luckily after that it's 4 months that I don't have to think about school stuff too, too much.

Today, I wanted to share this outfit wore a while back (and loved!). I know I push the plaid shirts out quite a bit now (sorry not sorry), but I just love the way they look on. All I need with them now is some fun grunge tops/tees from the flea markets. But anyway, to the outfit.

DSC05418 (Large)DSC05428 (Large)DSC05429 (Large)DSC05484 (Large)DSC05432 (Large)DSC05468 (Large)DSC05454 (Large)DSC05479 (Large)DSC05493 (Large)DSC05464 (Large)

Jacket: H&M Scarf: secondhand Jeans: H&M Plaid shirt: secondhand Sneakers: Boohoo Top: secondhand Rings: JC, H&M  Bracelets: KappAhl, Europehouse Earrings: Gina Tricot Necklaces: Gina Tricot

So there, a look I felt extremely comfortable and confident in, even though it is very basic and low-key. Quite a few things from flea markets in this look, although I wouldn't mind having even more. Not that I don't like shopping new clothes, but there's something about finding old stuff someone has used already that feels so right to me (another one's trash, another woman's treasure) - and there's also the fact that they feel more unique, even if they are originally from a big store like H&M or such, but finding them many seasons "late" and then incorporating to my looks is just so much fun.

Plus, it's sometimes a pain to try to find clothes with enough rock chic edge from regular stores so modding the clothes and flea market hauls are pretty essential for my style. Next I do a proper secondhand haul, I promise to share that along with some tips I find helpful whilst shopping used stuff.

But what do you guys think about this look? Let me know in the comments!

Now, I need to get all dressed and ready for school but I'll be back as soon as my schedule lets me. I'm missing blogging world so much right now but unfortunately I need to make studying a priority for couple of weeks more. Then, I'll write more and still hopefully not bore you with my blabbering. ;) See you soon, dolls!

Have a fantastic day ♥
