Lime Green Knit

Hey babes, I hope you're having a great weekend so far. I am, because we're spending time with my parents today - and later we will be having treats and watching F1. So nice. In today's post, I'm sharing an outfit for a couple of weeks ago, when I was wearing this lime green knit. I like wearing "season inappropriate" colors, so this knit was just perfect. Take a look and see what you think about the outfit:

I guess this post isn't helpful on where to shop this look.. . But I'm hoping you still like it. I paired the knit with ripped jeggings and skull scarf to give it some edge, and then added booties to give the look more feminine touch. This outfit was certainly fun to wear, and I would definitely wear it again.

What do you think about this look? Let me know in the comments below!

That's all I have for you today, but tomorrow, I will have another post for you. I will publish it during the Mexico GP (Formula One, that is), since that's the time I get to sit down at home. Until then, follow me on social media for more updates. I will see you all tomorrow!

Have a lovely day ♥

My Nail Stash: Blacks

Happy Friday you all! I hope you're doing great today. In honor of Halloween, I figured we could take a look to my black/super dark nail polishes. Maybe this can be a little bit of an nail inspiration for you in case you're going to a nice party this weekend.

Fun, right? Let's get started!

DSC08981 (Large)

From left to right:

China Glaze Liquid Leather: A nice basic black with a pretty, shiny finish. I use this bad boy all the time for details in my nail art (although I would probably have it easier using acrylic paint).

China Glaze Smoke And Ashes: This is from the Hunger Games collection, and it is black with fine green glitter that sometimes shows blue, depending a bit on the lighting. I love it, but I don't still use it often enough.

China Glaze Meet Me Under The Stars: A beautiful, super dark blue that has fine silver glitter in it. This one really looks like stars, and I actually used it as a base in my latest galaxy mani (which I will show you later). Absolutely gorgeous on its own, and I think this would be a cool polish for any girl out there.

China Glaze Boundary Of Memory: This is also from a movie collection, The Giver one. It s not really a black, but at least to me it looks very dark. This is a mix of fine glitter in black, silver, copper and brown. It covers really well and is very wearable on its own.

DSC08984 (Large)

China Glaze Crimson: The deepest, darkest red that I own. This on really nearly looks like black, and I've used it many times instead of black when I'm out of Liquid Leather.

Essie Licorice: Also a good basic black, that used to be my go-to before I converted into Liquid Leather.

Essie Belugaria: A stunning black texture polish that has kind of like little pearls in it. Like the name suggests, it dries up looking like caviar. Also, it has glitter in it. If you buy this one though, get a basic black to wear underneath. This doesn't get opaque with one coat, and it is a pain in the butt to work as layers. So take my word for it and have a black.

Konad Stamping Polish: Also not really a black, but kind of a dark brown with plenty of shimmer. This goes okay as a black for stamping, but I still would recommend getting a different one if you like your stamping truly dark and black.

DSC08985 (Large)

L'Oréal Color Riche Top Coat Confettis: The first thing that comes to mind while looking at this is simply salt and pepper. I think this one is such a fun topper, because it's basic black and white, but the glitter inside is in different sizes. This is an easy way to make your mani more fun and interesting.

Ciaté Twilight: Black base, lots of fine gold glitter. This is a cute polish that is absolutely perfect for holiday parties - especially New Year's - and it doesn't need anything else to it (except of course a shiny top coat). I haven't used this a lot, although  should because it's so adorable. But I can't stand the way Ciaté polishes smell, so I don't really work a lot with them.

IsaDora Graffiti Nail Top Black Tag: Fun effect polish in black. That's really all there's to it. It dries all nice and matte, and I don't know how many of you remember, but a while back the crackle polishes were such a big hit. I should really be a rebel and start playing with these again now that everyone isn't. I actually had ideas for this one as I'm typing this.

IsaDora Wonder Nail Gothic Black: Another basic black, that was my go-to even before Essie. I remember this being easy to work with, since IsaDora polishes have such an amazing wide brush in them. I love it.

So what do you all think about these dark polishes? And, what is your favorite black polish? Let me know in the comments so I can try them out!

That is for today, I hope you liked this post, and that you will enjoy the coming parts of this series. Like mentioned in yesterday's post, we're currently on a road trip, so I won't be that much online, but I will check the comments and be available from time to time on social media. Tomorrow, you will have another post here, so stay tuned for that!

Have a lovely weekend ♥

Foodie Post: Gluten Free Microwave Blueberry Muffin

So the other day I was craving blueberry muffins, but didn't really wanna do big batch of them. I figured I could just make one in the microwave and be happy with it. And that's what happened. Luckily, FiveHeartHome had a nice little recipe that was easy to make into a gluten free one. Below, you can see the gluten free version of it.

DSC00767 (Large)

Gluten Free Microwave Blueberry Muffin
1 muffin

1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons gluten free flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 cup milk, at room temperature
2 tablespoons salted butter, melted and cooled
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Scant 1/4 cup fresh blueberries

Coarse sparkling sugar, optional garnish

1. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and baking powder until thoroughly, completely combined, with no streaks of any ingredients remaining. Blend in milk, butter, and vanilla until batter is smooth. Stir in blueberries and pour batter into a 14-ounce (or larger) microwave-safe mug with straight sides. Sprinkle with sparkling sugar, if desired.

2. Microwave on high for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes, or until cake is done to your liking. Allow to cool for a couple of minutes before serving.

DSC00758 (Large)DSC00761 (Large)DSC00765 (Large)

This is super easy to make, like all mug cakes/microwave pastries, and I think it tastes amazing with some vanilla ice cream and frozen blueberries. I definitely recommend that you try this, right now. I'd imagine you could make this with any berries, as well as with tiny apple pieces and cinnamon, so that it becomes a seasonally themed one. I haven't tried that, but it should be that easy to change up. If you have tried that, let me know if it can be done.

Have you done any microwave baking, and how did you like it? Let me know in the comments!

Today, I'm writing all  the weekend's posts because I plan on not touching my laptop since we're on the road again. It's also very relaxing to get some time off from the computer screen, since my hobbies, studies and work all make me use laptops every day. And since we're going to see family, I obviously choose that over devices. But, don't want to abandon you guys so I'm prepping the blog for the few coming days.

And I will do crepes for a TV snack soon. Because that's what adults do. You know, the ones who are still children inside. Yeah, that's me.

Anyways, I'm gonna go now to get the rest of the things done, and I will be still posting stuff on Instagram (and other social media channels) the best I can. I will see you all tomorrow in another post, so stay tuned for that!

Have a lovely day ♥

#31DC2015 Blue & Violet

So today we're talking about nails again. I hope you don't mind. There's many of manis to go on the 31-day challenge, so we better get going with it. And today, I'm sharing the blue and the violet sets of the #31DC2015. What's fun about this challenge is that it makes me think of the nail art a bit differently, as well as doing different colors, patterns etc than I maybe normally would. Which is great because it makes the creativity flow better even after the challenge.

But anyway, are you ready to see the nails? Let's do it:

DSC00353 (Large)

So the first set, like mentioned, is the blue one. I went for a simple leopard print design with some glitter on the accent nail. This is pretty classic for me (which clashes with the previously mentioned "I think nail art differently with the challenge") but since the colors are not so me, I guess this is something new to see. The problem I have with blue polishes is that they can stain worse than blacks and other deep dark shades. But this was quite lovely.

DSC00380 (Large)DSC00366 (Large)

I personally think that the glitter here is quite cute. I don't have many blue glitters (even though I hoard glitter polishes way too much), but this one is so pretty. The photo isn't doing justice to it though, I think it looks even better in real life.

DSC00375 (Large)

The polishes I used for this design were all by China Glaze: One Track Mind as a base, Boho Blues and Liquid Leather for the animal print and Let's Dew It for the glitter accents. Boho Blues and Let's Dew It are a tad more lilac in reality than how they show in the pictures, but they still look very lovely here.

DSC00363 (Large)DSC00448 (Large)

The second one today is a violet glitter gradient with a gradient base. So a lot of gradient action going on. This probably would've been very nice even without the giltter, but I felt like having sparkle on my nails so I did that too.

DSC00461 (Large)DSC00460 (Large)

For a person that doesn't love violet/purple too much, I really own plenty of polishes in that color. Weird. I guess I kinda love it on my nails though. Here I used four shades of violet and the purple glitter topper. And there are quite many more of those colors, as you will see later when I introduce my nail stash more.

DSC00468 (Large)

The polishes I used were all by China Glaze here as well: Sweet Hook, Spontaneous, Grape Pop, Crimson, Fairy Dust and Be Merry, Be Bright. And I think these nails were quite fun to wear, as the idea was pretty simple, but they look a bit more complicated. Gradients, I think, are a good way to start learning nail art. They are pretty fun and easy to do, and they will look like more effort than they actually are.

DSC00451 (Large)

So what do you all think about these designs? Let me know in the comments! And if you have done/are doing #31DC2015 challenge at the moment, let me know that as well. I'd like to see yours too!

Now, time for me to say bye with this scheduled little piece, but I will see you very soon with another post. I have many fun things coming up, collaborations and such, so I hope you will enjoy the things I have planned for you. Can't tell you all of them yet, but one should be revealed at the start of next month, so stay tuned. And in the meantime, you can follow me on social media (and say hi, I love connecting with my readers there!) for more frequent updates.

Have a lovely day ♥

Halloween 2015: Glitter Makeup

Hello lovelies!

How are you? ♥

As promised, here is the last Halloween look of the year. I realized I didn't go very gore with this year's looks, but I don't mind. There are more talented ones who do great SFX stuff if you're more into that.

My last Halloween look is this super glittery one that was inspired by both Kesha and glam rock, and I didn't know what to call it exactly so let's call it Glitter Makeup. Unless you have a cooler name for it.

DSC01301 (Large)glittermakeup (Large)DSC01333 (Large)halloweenglitter (Large)DSC01308 (Large)DSC01309 (Large)DSC01341 (Large)

Great clothing for the look is for example a cute black dress (ignore me wearing pants under there), or anything leather. I had a lot of fun playing with the glitter here, although the remains will haunt me through next year. You can rock this look with any hair color, but I loved pairing it with the black wig to make it more edgy.

If you guys like the necklace I'm wearing in this post, you should check out Happiness Boutique (click here: http://www.happinessboutique.com/en/). They have such beautiful jewelry and they generously gifted this one to style. I was planning on wearing this on my wedding day, but I actually like that it makes it's debut here as an inspiration piece for an Halloween look.

If you'd like to get your own piece, click here and get the same one I'm having: http://www.happinessboutique.com/en/necklaces/bold-clear-crystals-statement-necklace-738

What do you guys think about this look? Let me know in the comments below!

Now, I'm heading straight to bed, because my sleep is a bit overdue and tomorrow is a long day at the office with a ton of things to do. I try to get something for you to read tomorrow, but won't make promises because I don't know how to day will evolve. But I will see you as soon as possible. In the meantime, follow me on social media to catch up with the latest!

Have a lovely week ♥

Halloween 2015: Pirate Costume

Hello lovelies!

How are you all this morning? ♥

I'm sorry for not posting a whole lot on the weekend, but life offline felt more important than sitting on a laptop. However, today I really need to line up posts for this week so that I can get the blog posts rolling more. (Still one Halloween look to go, then it's back to normal with the posts.)

Today, I'm sharing a Halloween costume I've been wanting to do a long time now. A pirate. Inspired strongly by Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean, but done a bit more girly way. Maybe.

DSC01153 (Large)pirate (Large)DSC01172 (Large)DSC01157 (Large)pirateoutfit (Large)DSC01163 (Large)

This costume was put up with things I already had home: White loose blouse, a masculine vest, bit baggy pants, tall boots that can be folded a bit, scarf for tying the waist, black wristband, red scarf for the head, some rings, and a necklace with appropriate charms to add to the head. The black wig was a nice touch, but you can absolutely do this with your natural hair - because you don't actually have to do your hair much. The makeup is mostly eyeliner and a messy smokey eye with some sculpting for cheeks.

Easy, right?

What do you guys think about this look? Let me know in the comments!

Now, today will be different as I will be posting another costume in the evening. This will be an exception, but I want to get these out so that you'll all have the chance to go and get items if some of these maybe inspire you to create a look for the Halloween parties. So I'll see you in the evening!

Have a lovely start for your week ♥

Halloween 2015: Comic Book Girl

Hello lovelies!

How are you all? ♥

Today I've been shopping for Father's Day, as well as having a chill day off. Tomorrow we will have a little restaurant date, which I'm so excited about. But today, it's time for another Halloween inspiration post (only two more after this, for those who don't like these!). This one, is only a makeup, but you could pair this with basically anything.

DSC00745 (Large)

So, a comic book/cartoon makeup. I have never tried this before, but I like how it turned out. Even if there's a ton I could do better if I did this again. For tutorials, see YouTube. There are plenty of great how-to's for this kind of makeup looks.

DSC00750 (Large)collage1 (Large)collage (Large)DSC00740 (Large)

Key points for this makeup: The dots, either white or red, black outlines, and as flat complexion as possible. (Meaning no contouring or such. Just create shapes with the black lines.) I would say this one is relatively easy to create. but it probably gets quite a bit better with practice. And, those dots can take way more time than you would think, so keep that in mind if you choose to do this look. I think this look benefits from plastic look wigs, because it's not supposed to look any realistic at all. Also, you can totally match your nails to this! (Google cartoon nails!)

What do you guys think about this look? Let me know in the comments!

Now, I'm going to whip up a small snack and go watch a little TV with the hubby before bed. I wanna wake up early tomorrow so I can put up the rest of our Halloween decorations before we head out. I will probably show some off on social media (and later here on the blog), so follow me there if you want to see all that. I will see you all tomorrow in another fun post, so stay tuned!

Have a lovely weekend ♥

70's Vibes

Hello lovelies!

How are you all today? ♥

I've been drinking a pot of ginger tea today after work, because somehow I've felt quite cold and fluish lately. Don't know why, it's probably just the chilly weather on the dark times of the day - even if it's seasonably quite warm. I just always get instantly cold when the cold season starts. Not sick necessarily, but chilly.

So what better way to try to get warmer than looking at pictures of warmer weather? That's what I thought. With that said, I have a new outfit for you:

DSC00397 (Large)DSC00423 (Large)DSC00422 (Large)DSC00435 (Large)DSC00429 (Large)DSC00392 (Large)

Knit: H&M White Top: Gina Tricot Bandana: Seppälä Leggings: Boohoo Boots: Boohoo Bag: H&M(?) Aviators: H&M Necklace: Boohoo Rings: Gina Tricot

So there, an outfit with a little 70's vibe to it - I think. I love the fringed boots, the colors and the print of the leggings quite a bit. Also, I think the aviators bring a nice touch to the look. And the curls, too. I don't usually do this kind of looks, but that day I really liked it. And I hope you do too.

So, what do you guys think about this look? Let me know in the comments below!

Now, I'm gonna go knit, get a night snack and watch some TV with my husband. Not a bad way to end a night, right? Coming up this week here on the blog are couple of Halloween looks, a recipe post and then some, so stay tuned! Also, remember to follow me on social media for more frequent updates and sneak peeks for coming posts and such. I have few super exciting collaborations coming up as well as more chit chat posts about topics that make me think, and I can't to share those all with you. See you again tomorrow!

Have a lovely day ♥

Halloween 2015: Rocker Girl

Hey lovelies!

Hope you're doing well today ♥

Today has been super crazy, so I will cut to the chase and just share some Halloween inspiration with you. These photos are a bit heavily edited because I was taking them in impossible lighting and filters actually made them decent. So let's roll with it. Key points to this look are cool accessories with attitude, bold lips and dramatic, dark eye makeup.

DSC00624 (Large)DSC00628 (Large)DSC00630 (Large)DSC00641 (Large)DSC00633 (Large)DSC00636 (Large)DSC00621 (Large)

What do you guys think? Have you decided on a Halloween look already?

This look was mostly creation of me wanting to try out something fierce. Funnily enough the pics on my phone were bit better than these ones, but I thought that for inspiration I should share these anyways. I hope you like them a little bit. Tomorrow, I'll post something with clearer pics and so on, but in the meantime you can follow me on social media for other updates. See you soon!

Have a fabulous day!
