Trying out MoYou London plates for the first time

It’s not a secret I’ve been sort of in a creative funk for a hot minute, where coming up with makeup color schemes, let alone trying to put together nail design has felt next to impossible. I’m trying to get back into all things creative little by little, on makeup that has meant setting some challenges for myself, and in nail art it’s quite the same too. For years, I’ve been wanting to get better at stamping, so I’ve taken it as my mission to find the brands and plate styles I enjoy the most, and finding the fun of nail art again. Not really doing much in that regard has felt like a missing piece of myself, and I’d like it to not be missing anymore.

So, today I’m sharing how my first experience with MoYou London has been.

Marble Nails With Gold Flakes

Another day, another nail art post. (This was supposed to go up on Friday, but in all honestly I was not feeling well enough to take and edit my nail photos before today so… Forgive me for the slight delay lol) Before you ask, no, these won’t likely be a weekly thing, but I’ve been planning different kinds of nail related posts for almost every week from until the end of March, and we’ll see how we’ll do after that. I do enjoy the simple kind of posts where I just share my nails, but I’ve been thinking that maybe some of you out there would get more value from a variety of content, so that’s what I’m trying to do here as the spring goes forward.

But today, you’re getting an old-fashioned nail art post, with this look that is more or less inspired by this year’s nail trends - which I’m planning to touch more on in a future post, stay tuned at the beginning of next month if that sounds interesting to you.

Celestial Nail Art

Happy Fri-Yay! Let’s start this weekend off with some nail inspo, shall we? I haven’t been truly documenting my nail art in a while, and to be honest I missed it quite a bit. Nail art has been one of the things that pushed me into social media and blogging, so I think getting back to my roots in that sense makes sense.

I don’t really have much else to add here, so let’s just get into straight to the nails:

12 Days of Christmas: Holiday Nails, Two Ways

It's been quite a while since the previous nail art post, not that I haven't done nail art, but I just haven't posted any. However today, I'm happy to share two designs that are fit for the holidays. Mine are done by stamping, you can use any technique you prefer - or just get inspiration for the color scheme here.

Cherry Nails

Happy Friday everyone! Today I really wanted to share some nail art with you, even if this one was done some months ago. But you know, I still really love the look of this design so let's talk about it a little bit.

Leopard Nails

Two weeks flew by faster than I ever expected, and here I am posting this one a week late. I'm sorry, but there's been a lot on my mind, things that are quite a bit more important than blog writing as much as this is my creative outlet and passion project. But to be perfectly honest, I've had to prioritize things that actually pay my bills and/or keep me healthy.

But today, I finally share this cute but simple nail art design with you, along with what I used to create it.

Nails For The Trip (and how I make them last for a week!)

As you know, last week I was on a trip. For that trip, I created a set of galaxy nails to fit me and my bestie's Cosmic Twinsies theme, because anything galaxy just fit us so well. Long story short, we feel this true cosmic connection and therefore refer ourselves as cosmic twinsies. We also are very, very similar in many ways, hence the twinsie part. In this post, I'm not only sharing what products to use for a mani like this, but also how to make it last as long as possible. As I'm typing this, the nails have been on over a week, and apart from one split tip, they're basically like new still.

Owl Nails

Long time, no nail art - even on my Instagram - but here we go again. These nails I did already at the end of September so that should tell you how incative I've been. I always have my nails painted but just haven't felt like sharing them. Until now, when the Fleeky Friday is upon us. If you don't know what Fleeky Friday is, don't worry, you've only missed yesterday's post. I recently decided to develop my blog a little more after the month long break giving me perspective on what I want to do, and I decided we would have dedicated weekdays for different topics. Fridays will now on be Fleeky Fridays, and whenever I post on Friday, it will be about nails, hair, beauty or fashion - or anything that can be on fleek. But I assume it will mostly be nails, knowing myself.

Mustard Nails

Happy Tuesday lovelies! Well okay, Tuesday's are still not my cup of tea, but that doesn't mean I don't know how to enjoy one when it hits. I mean it is there every given week, after all. Today, I'm giving you more fall nail art inspiration, in the form of simple but cute mustard nails.

So without further ado, let's get into it:

(Water)Fall Nail Art

Happy Monday my lovelies! I know there are many of you that absolutely loathe Mondays, but I'm that freak who flourish on Mondays. I feel each given Monday is a chance to have a better week than it was before, do better than one did previous week, and to simply have a tiny new start. I know it might be nauseatingly optimistic but that's my mindset. But to be perfectly honest, I personally hate Tuesdays. They mostly don't bring good things my way in general and they are the day things go wrong if they're ever going to. Not that even that would stop me from reaching my dreams.

Today, I'm sharing a manicure I felt, and still feel a little conflicted about. I could've done it better, it could've looked cuter, but then again I also got compliments for it so it's probably not as bad as my personal judgement makes it out to be. But, without further ado, let's get into the nail art:

Polka Dot Pretty

Feeling girly today? Because we will look into some quite girly nail art today. If you follow me on Instagram you've probably seen me wear this polka dot blouse a few times lately, which is kind of what inspired this mani. I feel like polka dots fit autumn well - but then again, it's a classic pattern so it fits all the seasons probably just as well. Anyway, I wanted to do something cute around polka dots and this is what I created.

Foxy Fall Nails

New season, new nail art. Whos's excited? Because I am. I've talked about this on my Insta briefly, but autumn time makes me feel more alive and creative. So it's no wonder this feels like a time to bring you new nail art. And while this is being posted, I'm working on the next design, so if you like nail art, no worries, there will be more. But let's first get to today's design:

China Glaze You Do Hue First Impression

Today, I'm excited to be talking about yet another nail polish collection. Not too long ago, I purchased the You Do Hue collection from China Glaze almost in all its entirety. I left out one because it didn't speak to me as much, but I'm sure it's a shade many other people would enjoy. But I'll give some opinion about each shade I do have, two of which I have actually worn already, and rest of them I have only swatched on wheels. But I do have thoughts based on that and the swatching videos I've seen around. I try however keep the thoughts original as much as possible.

Floral Nails

I was supposed to post this yesterday, but had longer than expected work day and every other things felt like falling apart so I took a breather and didn't finish this post. Until today, that is. So I'm hoping you're ready for some nail art because that's what I got for you today.

And without further ado, let's get into it!

Green Nails

It's been a ridiculous while from my last post, but the break from both work and blogging has been needed. It's given me the chance to work on my Instagram feed and offline projects, which is really wonderful to be honest. I did, however write ahead on the posts I will be publishing from this day forward, so no, I haven't abandoned or forgotten my blog at all, don't worry. I'm still thinking doing a bit of re-branding here as well, because I don't feel the content gives enough to you guys. Sure the manis may inspire you and the few outfits I share are fun in my opinion, but there's probably more I could give to you.

For example, I've been trying my best to help out a couple of friends by giving them lifestyle and relationship advice, and they've said the advice has been helpful. I know there are dozens of good life advice creators on every platform, but I'm thinking maybe giving my two cents on certain topics might be interesting. And maybe those could be inserted into the posts with nail art or outfits and therefore there would be balance of fun and informative. What do you guys think about that?

Blue Zebra Nails

Who wants to get back into nail art posts? Because I sure do. Today, I'm sharing pictures from a little while back as I have been lacking in blogging for some weeks now. I've tried to plan my life and have routines so I could better fit blogging in, but to be honest it was hard for a while. Now, I think the routines have settled in their place enough for me to add writing the posts in.

But now, without further ado, I'll show you the nails:

It's a new week with new opportunities. Today I had to be extra efficient at the office as I was on a work trip the past two work days and that means a bit of piled up things as you can imagine. Today I also tried to get ahead of as many things as possible so that this week's trip won't make my Friday into a chaos. This month is truly flying by, haha.

Purple Chevron Nails

Hey lovelies and welcome to a scheduled post I prepped for you so that you will have content even when my workdays are long and I can't be sure if I have the time to write anything. Today, I've been on a worktrip to another city for our customer event, and I'm predicting I won't have the energy to sit on the computer after the thing. So, I wrote this one already on Tuesday together with 5 other posts to keep you entertained for a while. Hope you like that.

But now, let's get into the nail art!

Geometric Nails

Today's post is about nails again. If you haven't noticed, I've been very inspired to do different kinds if manicures lately, and I've thought that documenting them here would be fun for you as well. So those will keep on coming later on as well. But, if you're not into nail art, don't worry, the next two posts will be outfit ones! I'm so happy I've gotten more into the style side of this blog this year, I've missed it a lot but when my life was in a turning point a couple of years ago, I really didn't feel like outfit shoots other than taking a quick one for Instagram and it took a while to get back to being me. And currently, I feel more like me than in quite a while. Which is nice.

Anyway, that's something I might touch on in some later post, but now, let's get to the nails:

China Glaze The Arrangement Collection (Swatches, Nail Art and More)

Who else loves to surround themselves with spring colors this time of the year? I sure do. And that's why I treated myself to the China Glaze spring collection called The Arrangement. This post seems like it did forever to create with the photos and all, but I think now I have a very well-rounded post ready for you. So, without further ado, let's get into the collection!
