Foodie Post: Maple Latte

Hey lovelies!

How are you today? ♥

I've had a pretty amazing day today, with all sorts of new experiences. Best of them being that I made my own vegan milk from nuts, and it tastes pretty yummy. Although I need to try making some from almonds as well, because it's sweeter and I love almond milk the most.

Speaking of veggie milks, I have a recipe that goes well with them! (recipe originally from here)

DSC09943 (Large)

Maple Latte

1 serving coffee
1-2 tablespoons of maple syrup
milk of your choice

Mix the ingredients together well, and top off with whipped cream if you want.
Enjoy!

DSC09941 (Large)

And the same goes with any syrup, you can basically do any coffee-based latte with this recipe, just switch the syrup! You can also try different milks, almond and dairy for example taste very different. I'm currently cutting the use of pure dairy milk a bit, since I feel like I have more energy when I don't consume it that much, so I'm experimenting with different veggie options at the moment (soy has been ruled out because larger consumption gives me allergic reaction). If you happen to have a favorite, let me know so I can try it!

What's your favorite coffee or tea? Let me know in the comments below!

Now, it's time for me to start getting ready to bed, with some knitting and light TV. Tomorrow, I will be posting another post, but I have yet to decide between two that I really want to publish. I have loads of fun things to share later this year, so do stay tuned for upcoming posts. I have a couple of super interesting collaborations coming up and I can't wait to share them with you!

Have a lovely day ♥

Camo with Lace

Hello lovelies!

How are you doing today? ♥

My day has been about some school work, cooking, relaxing and enjoying the autumn. I also had a little migraine, but luckily that went away quite quickly. I've also been planning autumn looks to share with you, but before that I need to share a couple of late summer looks with you.

Starting with today's camo look:

DSC09818 (Large)DSC09848 (Large)DSC09811 (Large)DSC09852 (Large)DSC09801 (Large)

Camo pants: Zara Top: Cubus Lace biker jacket: Mango Flats: Nelly.com Necklace: H&M Bracelet: Nelly.com Bandana: from the 90's

This is actually one of my favorite looks from this chilly summer. I'm kinda sad I didn't get to wear shorts and skirts more, but this look was actually lots of fun to wear. The shoes are something I love quite a bit, and I'm a bit sad I need to put them away for a couple of months now. Also, the casual pants with the print are a favorite of mine when it comes to bottom pieces. The biker jacket is something that gets way too little use compared to how much I love it, but I just don't know how to combine it with things. That's something I really want to figure out before next spring.

But what do you guys think about this look? Let me know in the comments!

Now, I will go to watch TV shortly with my man before heading to bed. Tomorrow is a quite exciting day at work so I need my sleep so I can enjoy the little challenges that will be waiting for me. Later this week I'm hoping to finish my DIY lampshade so I can show it to you along with the new arrangement in my blogging space. So stay tuned for that, as well as other fun posts. Soon, I'll also start posting Halloween stuff, and you can already see sneak peeks on my Instagram account. Follow me there (and in other social media platforms) for more updates!

Have a fantastic week my darlings ♥

Feather 2.0 vs Lavender

Hey lovelies!

How are you all today?

I was having a lovely lunch with my girl F earlier today, and spent the evening tidying up the house and cooking. So overall it's been a nice day off. Now, we're having a short NHL tournament with the guys, and even though I'm totally losing, it's lots of fun.

Today, I'm sharing two new nail art designs with you.

DSC09698 (Large)

Well, technically you might have seen this one before, because it's a redo of my nails from 2013. They have been somewhat popular on Pinterest so I figured I should try making them again and see if my skills have gotten any better in two years. You can click the Pinterest link and decide for yourself.

DSC09723 (Large)DSC09711 (Large)

I really like this design, and I think you may actually see some improvement between this and the previous one. I think I should do more freehand feathers in the future, they're quite fun to paint and I think they also look quite cute.

DSC09709 (Large)

The polishes I used were China Glaze White On White and Liquid Leather, as well as Kiss Nail Art Pens in blue, pink, lilac and silver. These are really quite simple nails, because you only literally need to draw lines for this design.

DSC09715 (Large)DSC09874 (Large)

And the other design is even more simple than the first one. You just need a color polish, glitter polish and a few rhinestones.

DSC09889 (Large)DSC09882 (Large)

I really loved the sparkle here so, so much. I can't believe I didn't buy Techno before, but I sure am happy I did get it this Summer.

DSC09892 (Large)

The polishes I used were China Glaze Wanderlust and Techno. The rhinestones are from Born Pretty Store

DSC09872 (Large)

So there, two quite simple nail art designs. I hope you liked this post, as I sure had fun making and wearing these nails.

What do you think about these designs and which one is your favorite? Let me know in the comments below!

Now, I'm gonna play the tournament through, and after that it's sleep, early F1 wakeup and then to a hockey match in the afternoon. I try to update my social media on the way, but I won't make any promises on how active I'll be. I will see you on Sunday the latest here on the blog, but stay tuned on the social media to know when the new posts are up.

Have a fantastic weekend, dolls ♥

White Vest

Hey lovelies!

How are you today? ♥

I had a very fun work day and after that I've been focusing on crafts and blog stuff - and got to read other blogs after a great while, which was amazing. I've missed that a lot. Today, I just wanted to quickly share this office look with you. I wore this to work a while back and liked it a lot.

DSC09743 (Large)DSC09749 (Large)DSC09768 (Large)DSC09731 (Large)DSC09778 (Large)DSC09786 (Large)DSC09756 (Large)

Vest: Gina Tricot Shirt: gift from my mom Skirt: Gina Tricot Lace trimmed biker shorts: Gina Tricot Necklace: Gina Tricot Sandals: SpiritStore Bracelets: H&M Rings: H&M, Gina Tricot, Born Pretty Store

So this was a simple look for the office. I think this would've been great with black or white pumps, but I prefer flats at the office because they don't get my feet all sore. I also think the lace peeking from under the skirt was a fun detail, taken that the collared shirt and the leather vest can be though as masculine items. So contrasts. Or something.

What do you think about the outfit? Let me know in the comments below!

Now, I'm gonna go hit the bed so that I'll have enough energy tomorrow. I will be back soon with another post, so stay tuned for that - and in the meantime you can follow me on social media to see more frequent updates.

I love you all so much, have a fantastic day ♥

Foodie Post: Gluten Free Rainbow Cupcakes

Hello lovelies!

How has your week started? ♥

I've been shooting another Halloween look, as well as baking stuff and making the most of my day off. Tomorrow will be another day at the office and I'm kinda excited about that as well. Today, I wanted to share this colorful recipe with you so that you can brighten up your Autumn days with baking cute things. Originally recipe was found here, but I wrote it down below for you as a gluten free version.

DSC09515 (Large)

Rainbow cupcakes

240g/8½oz gluten free flour
240g/8½oz sugar
3 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
80g/2¾oz unsalted butter, at room temperature
240ml/8½fl oz whole milk
2 medium free-range eggs
½ tsp pure vanilla extract

food colourings of your choice (such as red, yellow, green and blue)

For icing:
250g/9oz unsalted butter, room temperature
500g/1lb 2oz icing sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract

colored sugar for decoration, or other gluten free option

DSC09508 (Large)

1. Preheat the oven to 170C/160C Fan/Gas 3. Line two 12-hole cupcake trays with cupcake cases.

2. For the cupcakes, beat the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and butter together in a freestanding mixer with a paddle attachment (or use a handheld electric whisk). Mix in half the milk until it is just incorporated.

3. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, vanilla extract and remaining milk together. Pour into the flour mixture and beat until the mixture is smooth.

4. Divide the batter equally between four bowls and colour each one with food colouring, so you end up with four brightly coloured bowls of cake mixture.

5. Now layer the coloured mixtures in the cupcake cases. Starting with one colour, divide the mixture equally between the cupcake cases and smooth it out so you have a layer at the bottom. Continue with all the other colours in the same way, evenly spreading each layer out and being careful not to mix the colours together, so that you end up with distinct layers of mixture.

6. Carefully transfer to the oven and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the sponge bounces back when touched and a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean.

7. Leave the cupcakes to cool slightly in the tray before turning out onto a cooling rack to cool completely.

8. For the vanilla buttercream, beat the butter with a handheld electric mixer until soft. Sift in the icing sugar and incorporate to make a smooth icing. Add the vanilla extract and beat the icing for a further few minutes until light and fluffy. Transfer to a piping bag fitted with a large star nozzle.

9. When the cupcakes are cold, pipe the vanilla buttercream on top of the cakes and decorate with the colored sugar (or other toppings you desire).

DSC09510 (Large)DSC09517 (Large)

I gotta say, I messed up a little something with the batter since the inside wasn't very airy and all. But they were delicious, and next time I'm sure I can make a better batch. (And then I will update here what to take into account when baking so that yours will be better!)

Are there gluten free recipes you'd like to see here? Let me know in the comments below!

Now, I will go get some much needed rest for tomorrow, so that I can get through the work day. I will talk to you tomorrow in another post, but in the meantime you can follow my social media accounts for more updates! Stay tuned.

Have a great start for your week darlings ♥

My Nail Stash: Whites

Hello lovelies!

How are you today? ♥

I've been shooting a new Halloween look today, as well as chilling and watching some F1. So overall it's a great weekend I'm having. And I have a day off on Monday as well, so I'm thinking I might get most Halloween looks done this month already. Which would be cool because I still have to edit them and such so I need my sweet time for that as well.

Today, I'm starting another series around nails (don't worry, this will only be posted every once in a while, I have a ton more that are not related to nails), and I hope at least some of you will like it. I'm introducing my nail stash color by color, starting off tomorrow with white.

So here we go:

DSC08969 (Large)

Okay, technically these first ones aren't really white, but they fit here better than anywhere else. So from left to right: Essie First Base my go-to base coat at the moment, Essie Good To Go - fast drying top coat which was my go-to before buying HK Girl by Glisten And Glow, and Matte Top Coat by Born Pretty Store

DSC08970 (Large)

Ghoulish Glow - glow in the dark top coat which is a China Glaze staple every Halloween. Not the best one out there, I've heard, but I think it works okay. There's Snow One Like You - texture polish that looks like a blanket of snow on your nails. White On White - my go-to white polish that I use in so many of my manis. Snow Globe - a cute glitter that glistens in many colors and that has both round and hex ones in it.

DSC08976 (Large)

Essie Blanc - my previous go-to white. White Konad Stamping Polish, quite self-explaining. Ciate Angel Wings - a gorgeous pearly white. Ciate Halo - beautiful shimmer that glows in pink and blue once the light hits it.

DSC08977 (Large)

IsaDora Graffiti Top Coat is a plain white effect polish that gives the nice crackled effect to your mani. Kiss Nail Art Pen a good tool for tiny nail art, like striping or such. And last but not least Art Club Nail Art Pen in glittery white shade - mainly glitter, not so much white. But still.

So there are my white polishes. If you have any questions about these ones, hit me up in the comments and I try to answer as well as I can. I will be showing more of my polishes later, and I need to say that the latest haul (which you can see here) is not included here because I took the photos before that one got to me.

Do you have a favorite white polish, and if you do, which one is it? Let me know in the comments!

Now, I'm gonna take my sweet time reading some blogs, because that is a luxury I haven't gotten to do in  while and I miss it a lot. I will see you all tomorrow in another little post, and in the meantime you can follow me on social media for more frequent updates. Tomorrow, I will be creating another Halloween look, and a sneak peek will be up on Instagram once I get it done.

Have a lovely day, dolls ♥

Pink Blazer

Hello lovelies!

How are you today? ♥

I've enjoyed a rainy day home, shot a Halloween look number two, edited the blog's layout (did you see?) and also had some household chores done. So not bad at all. What have you been up to?

Today, I'm sharing this summer office look because I really need to get these out of the way as it is September already (and I'm shooting Halloween stuff as it is). I really loved this look, and even though you may think shorts in the office are a no-no, in our office it's fine. As long as they are somewhat good taste and you butt is not showing.

DSC09621 (Large)DSC09636 (Large)DSC09669 (Large)DSC09614 (Large)DSC09676 (Large)DSC09663 (Large)DSC09659 (Large)DSC09682 (Large)DSC09654 (Large)

Shorts: custom made Blazer: H&M Ballet flats: Andiamo(?) Top: Bershka Necklace: gift from friend Headband: Boohoo Rings: Gina Tricot, H&M

Maybe too many shots of this look, but I loved so many of the (detail) pics. I had an updo for once (let me know if you'd like a tutorial), and this was kind of way out of my comfort zone. I mean, I don't wear all pink that often. Or ever. But I went for it this time and it was kind of fun. And it wasn't even a Wednesday. Probably.

What do you dolls think about this look? Let me know in the comments below!

I'm gonna go now, and watch some late night TV with my man. I hope you liked this post, and the new blog layout (which might get little alterations soon). If you want to see more, follow me on social media for Halloween sneak peeks and more fun things. I will see you all tomorrow!

Have a fabulous weekend ♥

Blue vs. Ikat

Hey lovelies!

How are you today? ♥

I've been once again working with my blogging space, and this time I actually got it the way I want it to be - pictures will follow a bit later. Today, I simply wanted to share some nail pictures with you, so let's get going with them, okay?

DSC09453 (Large)

This may look familiar to you from my other posts, and it was indeed inspired by a mani I did earlier, but it's different. This was done with bit darker and more "blue" shades of blue. If that makes any sense. Probably not.

DSC09476 (Large)DSC09464 (Large)

I'm not usually too much into blue nails, but lately I've been loving them quite a bit. I don't know why - maybe it's the Autumn?

DSC09461 (Large)

The polishes I used were all by China Glaze: Feeling Twinkly, Licence & Registration Pls, White On White and Liquid Leather. The studs are from Born Pretty Store  and for the chevron I used some nail vinyls I bought from Etsy.

DSC09472 (Large)DSC09485 (Large)

Next up is this Ikat print I had to do once I got Boho Blues in my hands. I just had a vision of how it would look, and it kinda came out well. Granted, I still have a lot to learn for these prints, but this wasn't bad at all.

DSC09501 (Large)DSC09503 (Large)

I absolutely loved the colors and I think they are perfect transition shades for the early Autumn. I think this lilac vibed blue is actually one of my favorite shades now. This coming from a person that really doesn't love the blues too much.

DSC09490 (Large)

The shades I used were again by China Glaze (see a pattern here?): as mentioned, the base is Boho Blues, then there's Liquid Leather, White On White and Trip Of A Lime Time. I used thin nail art brush as my tool for the pattern.

DSC09494 (Large)

That's really all for today, I'm sorry the posts are quite compact (text-wise), but the long days take their toll, so  don't have the time to type everything I want. Maybe I will try to do more chatty posts on weekends, if you'd like.

But anyway, what do you think about these designs? Let me know in the comments below!

Now, I need to rush - I will answer your comments as soon as I can. Thank you for your love and support, I will try to give as much back as I can. If you want to hear more from me, follow me on social media for more frequent updates. There's a nail art challenge going on in my Instagram at the moment, and I'm always looking for other photo challenges to keep good stuff coming for you. See you soon here too!

Have a fabulous day ♥
