Red Jeans Are Back!

Heya everyone! ♥

How are you today? (This goes especially to my US readers, because of the hurricane Sandy. Let me know you're alive, babes! ♥)

Today I've been unusually awake and energetic, without any reason. I woke up 6:20 am, got up, decided on not wearing makeup to school, and realized I had too much time on my hands. So what's a girl to do?

Wash the dishes and clean the kitchen, naturally. I've also cleaned the house a bit more after school, photographed items for Shop My Closet page, done some laundry... And if only I didn't have to go to work, I would probably wash our windows.

So that kinda day. :D

The photos of today's post are from a weekend earlier this Fall that I spent once again with my favorite boys, and for those who wonder what we do, it can be summed on few words.

Video games, good food, drinks and sports.

And that's about it.

Also the outfit is from that weekend, I like to dress casually on weekends - unless I'm actually going somewhere where I need to dress up. That hardly ever happens, though.

Red waxed jeans: Mango
Grey striped knit: Mango
Faux leather jacket: H&M
Sneakers: SpiritStore/DIY (see more here)
Cap: DIY
Bag: Mango
Bracelet: KappAhl

Simple and comfy all the way. When I hang out with the boys, I tend to let my inner boy show itself through my style. Camouflage, you know? ;)

But seriously, this is how I dress most of the time. Very simple outfit with comfy materials, and just compensate with the hair and makeup so I look somewhat like a girl. Those jeans are something I missed the whole Summer. I guess now I have to find as many ways as possible to wear them. Suggestions?

Anyway, what do you think about this casual outfit? And what is your typical weekend look? Share your thoughts on the comment box! ♥

I'm heading now to work, and after that, I have a big pile of blogs to read.

Remember, there's still a little time to enter my nail art giveaway! You can see the awesome prizes here, and you can enter here

Have a lovely week everyone, and stay safe despite the storms out there! ♥

My Face Loves...

Heya people! ♥

How are you all today?

I got home today after a fun weekend with boys - which we spent watching hockey, having drinks and making fun of basically everything. I have nice photos to show you from the hockey game, but I have to go through them first. ;)

Now, some of you might remember me talking about some product review. Today is the time for that.

So, a few weeks ago, I got some skincare products from my mom. I decided I would write about my experiences to you, in case some of you would be in need of new skincare products.

DSC06903

So, the products I've been testing for couple of weeks now are skincare products from Amway Artistry Essentials line. I have been using Hydrating Cleanser, Hydrating Toner, Hydrating Lotion, Soothing Creme,   and Replenishing Eye Creme.

DSC06905

Hydrating Cleanser

A mildly scented cleanser you massage gently to your face and either rinse or wipe off. I tried it both ways - of course being first skeptical about the wiping - and it really works both ways. It cleans the skin properly, and leaves it soft and healthy-looking, and you don't need a lot of it for a use. Also, even though I don't necessarily like the smell of basic skincare products, with this one it didn't bother me, but instead it was quite nice. I'd say this is a great cleanser, but you need to use other products as well to really moisturize your skin.

DSC06907

Hydrating Toner

This one is for after you've used something to cleanse your skin first. Every toner I've ever had has always smelled a bit like alcohol, but this one was a nice exception to that. Like the previous one, you don't need a lot for a one time of use - just add some to a cotton pad, and wipe your face and neck thoroughly. This doesn't even dry out the skin as much as this kind of products usually do, which to me is a big pro.

DSC06909

Hydrating lotion

Very effective moisturizer for the skin of your face and neck area. This is for after your face is washed and toned. This product is mildly scented, and it leaves your skin moisturized for hours after applying. This lotion has SPF 15 UVB/UVA protection in it, which is a great con for any moisturizing lotion. My face stays pretty much moisturized until I take my makeup off the next day when I use this lotion. I really like the feel of this product of my skin, but I would say this on is a night product more or less - just because it feels so rich on the skin. But that pretty much depends how you like your products.

DSC06911

Soothing Creme

This one can be used if your skin gets irritated by the toner - like mine tends to do because I have a sensitive skin. This is applied with the little curvy tool you can see on the picture, and then you use your fingers to kind of blend it. Personally I use this before the lotion, and then only apply the lotion if (and when) my face needs the extra moisturizing. The smell of this product is very, very mild, so I believe it is ideal for most of the users, as it doesn't add up the unnecessary amount of smells our cosmetic products have already. This really smooths the skin, keeping it moisturized at the same time. And the best part is that because you only need a super thin layer, it feels next to nothing on your skin. Apart for the nice moisture, of course.

DSC06914

Replenishing Eye Creme

Now, I might be a tad neurotic about my eye area, but I believe everyone over twenty years old should have a light eye creme or such to prevent the early marks of aging. After all, most of us use eye makeup on daily basis, which is quite harsh on the sensitive skin around the eyes - not to even mention the makeup removers. So I decided it's time to invest on a proper eye creme. And I must say I've loved this. It helps me look not so tired in the mornings, and it moisturizes the eye area perfectly. You only need a drop you barely see to moisturize one around eye area, which is so amazing. This, like the others, doesn't have unnecessary scents a lot, and that's why I love it.

All In All:

My thoughts about these products have been purely positive so far, and I will continue using them - at least until I ran out of the bottles. I love the fact these are not scented, at least not much, and the fact they are very sufficient because you don't need tons to clean and moisturize your skin. I would definitely recommend Amway products - at least the Artistry series - to all my readers, and you know what's also great? They have a quality guarantee for all their products. If, for some reason, the product isn't 100% great for you, you can return it. That is, if you've used the product as meant to, of course. I totally encourage you to find your nearest seller, and go try out these products. (See more about Amway here!)

Have you tried Amway products? What do you think about them?

Now, if you still haven't entered my nail art giveaway, go do it now. The prizes are pretty fun, and you can check them on this post, and to enter, simply go here and follow the instructions on the post. ♥

I will go now enjoy some hot chocolate and newest episodes of my favorite series. I'm having (again) a free day from school tomorrow, so I might even write a new post then. ;)

Have a happy rest of your Sunday/fabulous new week! ♥

Blog ya later,

Tan Top with Ripped Jeans

Hey lovelies!

Happy Friday ♥

Or should I say TGIF? Today, I'm having the day off (well, from school anyways, I still got a late shift at work.) and I'm totally enjoying it - which means packing, cleaning, and blog reading. Not bad at all, if you ask me. And of course, I need to do my nails for the weekend, but I think I'll leave that till after work, so they won't get ruined by any chance.

What are you up to today, peeps?

Remember to enter my nail art giveaway, there are still few days' time to do that. I will be posting the prizes on a separate post today so you can see what you're competing for. ;) You can enter the giveaway here!

This weekend's agenda is to hang out with my fiance's friends, go to a hockey game, and generally just have fun with people. It's just what I need - and what my man needs - in the middle of the dark Autumn days and long days at school.

Well, okay, it's not like I have long days, but he does.

Anyways, once again I got an outfit for you. One I wore when we still had sunny days and one could wear whatever he/she desired. Now, the temperature stays as near zero degrees (Celsius) as possible. I'm not sure if I like that at all. But then again, I have cute boots for this kind of weather, maybe it's just time to bust them out. ;)

Okay, babbling too much again...

The outfit.

Ripped jeans: Gina Tricot/ DIY
Shoes: Boohoo.com
Bag: Mango

Feather earrings: H&M

I think you might start to see some sort of pattern in my Autumn style. I nearly always throw on a leather jacket, simple top and tight jeans. That's just so easy for school and all. No fuss. I was little on the fence with putting that top into this outfit, but after looking at these photos I think it works well enough. I also should give that Mango bag a rest every now and then, after I got it in Summer, I haven't gone nearly anywhere without it. And I still haven't tried out the white bag... Oops.

Okay, before I got too far away from the topic once again... Tell me what you think about the look? And, I want to know, what is typical for your Autumn style? ♥

I hope everyone of you will have a great weekend with the loved ones, I'll be back with blogging on Sunday!

Pink Leopard Print Studded Nails

Heya People! ♥

How are you all?

Like promised yesterday, here's a manicure I did some while ago (and the one you've seen already in my Instagram photos). But I wanted to show you better pictures of it.

So, here goes.

Photobucket

I'm not quite sure where I got the inspiration from, but I really wanted to combine two favorite things: animal print and studs. The fact it also has pink and gold is just a lucky bonus. ;)

Photobucket

Many have already asked for a tutorial for these nails - and for your happiness, I can tell that I have photographed one already, and it'll be up in next few weeks. It's a different color than this, because I don't like to do the same thing twice with my nails. But it's the same design more of less, so you will learn to make this. It's quite easy, I tell you!

Photobucket

And because someone will want to know, the polishes used for this manicure were Essie All In One Base Coat, China Glaze I'm Not Lion, IsaDora Pink Lemonade (715) and Essie Good To Go topcoat. Studs came from Kiss nail art sticker sheet, and I painted the leopard print myself. More details will be on the tutorial! ♥

I hope you liked this manicure, please let me know what you think on the comment box! ;)

And don't forget to enter my giveaway, where three lucky readers get a little something to glam up their nails! Click here to go to the giveaway post ♥

Have a pleasant week!

Snake Pants with white top

Hi everyone! ♥

How has your week started? :)

Mine started out quite well, I'm back to school with even more lazy schedule than before last week, so that's all cool. AND I have no school on Fridays for the rest of the year. I love that. Today I've been installing our new computer and taking our car (again) to be fixed - mind you guys, don't ever crash your car in the parking lot. Totally not worth it. After six months, and after the insurance company claiming the only damage was on the outside of the car, we're still having things broken in our vehicle, inside of it. So if you, my foreign readers, ever rent a car in Finland, be careful. If someone crashes your car, it still might be you who's paying.

So not cool.

Okay, so enough about my complaining. As said, we got a new computer and I'm pretty excited about it because it should be powerful enough to run Sims3 without problems. ;)

Anyone else out there who enjoys playing Sims (any of the games) every now and then?

Now, I want to remind you all about the little giveaway going on in my blog. All you have to do is go vote your favorite nail designs, and you get the chance to win a little kit to glam up your nails. ;) Go vote here!

Today's outfit is pretty simple, the pictures were taken one night couple of weeks ago - so I'm deeply sorry for the quality, my camera weren't too cooperative. I don't know if you can see the gorgeous print on the pants, but that's the reason I got them last Autumn in the first place. ;)

White top: Cubus
Snake print jeggings: Tiger of Sweden
Wedges: SpiritStore
Leather jacket: H&M
Bracelets: DIY, Seppälä, Gina Tricot, KappAhl,
Rings: Gina Tricot

Such a simple outfit, perfect for school days when you have to get up quickly and have to survive a long day of lessons. Comfy enough to stand the sitting in the class, and yet stylish enough to feel you've put some effort into it. I'm kinda disappointed the pictures weren't that sharp, but I hope you can somewhat see what the whole outfit looks like. :)

What do you think about the outfit? ♥

Tomorrow, I'll post a small nail post - for those who like nail art ;) But now, it's time for some school stuff and dish-washing.

Have a lovely week, darlings!

My favorite nail challenge - and a little giveaway ♥

Hey babes! ♥

Happy Saturday! How are you all? :)

I don't know how many of you have actually had the chance to see every manicure from the 31-day manicure challenge I have been keeping up here for a couple of months, so, I decided I should make a little recap post, for you to see how much this has taught me.

And some of you might have noticed I have only posted 30 manicures for the challenge. Wanna know why?

Because #31 was recreation of the favorite challenge.

This was my choice for the favorite:

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Galaxy nails, purely because the technique was so fun. Of course, there are also other designs I loved so, so much. But at the moment I had to choose a favorite, I was feeling strongly for this. (That being said, I might choose otherwise today. Lol. That's me.)

But simply posting my nails felt a bit cold and boring, so I decided to make things interesting and let you guys vote which are the top 3. These three will be posted as tutorials with step-by-step photos later this Autumn/Winter, because so many of you have been rooting for nail tutorials. But also....

To make this more interesting, I will hand out little giveaway prizes for three lucky readers!

The winners will be chosen randomly with the help of Random.org, and the prizes will include some nice little things for your own home manicures. ;)

To win, you need to:

1. Leave a comment below, including your personal top three of the manicures - and of course your email address.

You don't have to be a follower of this blog to enter, and, you can live anywhere because this giveaway is International.

In case you want to better your chances, you can also:

2. Follow this blog through GFC.
3. Follow this blog/me on Bloglovin', Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pose, Fashiolista or Lookbook. (one extra entry from each)
4. Tweet/blog about this giveaway - or write to Facebook about this. (remember to leave a link for me to check it out)

So it's super easy for anyone to enter (except for the anonymous readers, I'm sorry for not including you). Now, let's see the nail art!
