Today is my great pleasure to continue my Support Sunday series by talking about a woman who is not only an inspiration to me, but also I would dare to say we're friends. At least that's how it feels whenever we talk together. The woman in question is the lead singer of Alia Tempora, Markéta Morávková - or as we fans call her, Markie.

Night Sky Nails (Coewlesspolish Recreation)

Not too long ago, I spotted nails I really wanted to recreate on @coewlesspolish Instagram. Eva is absolutely one of my favorite nail instagrammers, and while most of her designs are too detailed for me to do or even try to do past of them on my mani, this one here looked like something I could do a simple little version of.

Copy That Look - Luanna's Grunge Sweater Outfit
Thursday, January 24, 2019
Today we're continuing with the series called Copy That Look. This is a series where I copy looks for less, which is not an original concept by any means, but the way I've visioned this is that I choose a look I like by a celebrity, influencer or basically anyone who has an inspiring style, and try to recreate the look by thrifting my own closet, DIYing, thrift shopping, borrowing or mixing the four. But buying anything new solely for this is not allowed. I want to keep this reasonably sustainable, and also I don't want to end up with items I don't use after the post. I will choose some of the looks myself, and some will be chosen by friends who are more or less metalheads as well, so that we will keep this rock chic and/or metal.
And yes, I will have this intro for at least few first times I post to this series, so that the ones jumping on little later on can get the hang of this as well.

Style Inspiration - Elize Ryd
Tuesday, June 26, 2018
It's no secret I look up to Elize Ryd, the female singer of the Swedish metal band Amaranthe. I mention her from time to time in my Instagram Story, and I do comment on her socials very frequently. It's safe to say she's one of my role models in many ways. She is beautiful, graceful and talented. She speaks her mind when she strongly feels about something. I'm constantly heart-warmed by the way she interacts with her fans, especially the younger ones who have fanpages for her.
And her style is fabulous.
While I wouldn't blatantly copy her, I can openly say she inspires me to find more rock vibed pieces into my wardrobe. Her way of combining very classic fashion with metal elements really makes her stage looks and also everyday styles perfect. And to me, relatable.
Since I work in an office and in technical field, I wouldn't be too comfortable wearing full on gothic or pure metal style. Not that you couldn't, but I prefer little more classic style when it's about business. I do color my hair all kinds of vibrant shades to bring out my metal side, but I also like to have it in my fashion as well. As I've told you before, I've been trying to declutter my closet and in the same process I've thought about my fashion choices and what I really want from my style (some of it you can read here if you haven't already). I've come into conclusion that I want a closet with office appropriate looks with some more out there looks for my free time. And that's where I can appreciate a thing or two from how Elize's style is.
So, what I've learned from Elize's style:
Classic looks always beautiful.
Like in the photo below, where every piece worn is very basic and in a way classic (the kind of pieces have been around for ages and they're crowd favorites to this day). It doesn't mean the outfit would be boring, but instead very put together. Also I really want boots like that in vegan leather!
Picture by Nat Enemede Photography |
This might be the thing I love about Elize the most. She isn't hiding her face behind a ton of makeup, but instead seems often to have little to no makeup and yet manages to look stunning. This keeps me inspired to have my no makeup days on weekends and not being afraid of showing my undone face in my socials. Even if I love my painted face a lot.

I don't have to explain this one. We all know it's a classic color, looks fabulous on most people and goes with anything etc.

Leather, and its vegan counterparts are an element that I personally combine to rock style in my mind. I think leather is edgy material and it brings nice character to any look. Although of course I encourage you to look into the leather item your buying and making sure the background of the material would be as ethical as possible. I'm currently educating myself on which kind of leather alternative would be the best options for the values I have. I'll talk about that more once I make up my mind about it.

You don't need so many clothes if your accessories are on point. Changing accessories can make a huge difference to an outfit, like in the picture below where a simple bodysuit becomes a cool stage look with the right accessories. I personally love a good corset belt or a harness, both of which instantly bring a little rock chic into an outfit.

There was a time I didn't really like lace since it made me think of wedding dresses, old times and so on. But seeing Elize in some fabulous lace looks has eventually changed my mind for good. Which you might know if you spotted this post. In below picture you can see one of my favorites when it comes to Elize's stage outfits, I love how the white lace looks on her.

I'm personally very lazy when it comes to my hair. I literally just brush it in the morning and I'm done with it most days. That's why I love that Elize mostly wears her hair just as it is, not curling it, not doing difficult hairdos and so on. Of course anyone having locks like hers can get away with that because the hair is so beautiful (and if you check out Amaranthe, even all the guys have more amazing hair than I do). While I'm still having too much fun with semi permanent shock colors to go with my natural color all the way, I definitely enjoy not doing too much styling and instead letting my hair just be. And maybe getting it to grow few inches.
Lashes do more to your makeup than lipstick
I don't know if you gathered it from the pics I showed you, but more often than not it seems that Elize doesn't really wear lipsticks. I think I read once that at least on stage, she prefers not to have lips done that much because they tend to smudge during the show. Which I can believe since my lipstick seems to say bye-bye once I even think about them going close to anything. Having eye makeup - and moreover lashes - on point keeps the focus in the eyes, removing the need to really do much to your lips. I do love my bold lippies, but given the choice, I rather leave out lipstick than doing lashes.

In case this post makes you interested in reading more about Elize's style and such, I recommend reading more here and here.
Disclaimer: I do NOT own any of the photos in this post unless stated otherwise. If I have used your photo and haven't credited you properly, please don't hesitate to email me so I can give credit to the person it belongs to/add your links and such. This post's purpose is not to make any money whatsoever, but rather highlight points from Elize's style.
So, did I manage to sound like a complete fangirl that I am? Good. I really have no problem sharing with anyone my appreciation towards Elize and the whole Amaranthe band. If you haven't checked out their music, I strongly encourage you to do it right now. Amaranthe is publishing their fifth album within some months from now, and I will definitely be talking about it once it's out. I hope we can also get them to play shows in Finland next year because it's been way too long since I saw them live.
Have you heard Amaranthe's music before? And, do you love Elize's style as well? Let me know in the comments!
Amaranthe Maximize Inspired Makeup
Tuesday, March 27, 2018
Couple of weeks ago, I attended a concert, and I wanted to wear something rock chic as far as my makeup goes. So, I tried to somewhat recreate Elize Ryd's makeup from Amaranthe's music video "Maximize" (as it has been constantly playing in my head lately). Which is a bomb song, and if you haven't heard it, you should do it below:
#31DC2015 Inspired By Book & Fashion
Tuesday, March 15, 2016
Hello lovelies! How are you today? ♥ I feel like my life has been so hectic - and on top of that, I've also been sick for the past couple of days. Not ideal when you have a ton to do and not enough time as it is, but that's life, you know. Luckily I've managed to take pictures for the blog beforehand, so when I only have the time to sit down and write, I can publish something.
Like today, when I'm sharing these nails from the 31-day nail challenge:

Halloween 2015: Glitter Makeup
Tuesday, October 27, 2015
Hello lovelies!
How are you? ♥

How are you? ♥
As promised, here is the last Halloween look of the year. I realized I didn't go very gore with this year's looks, but I don't mind. There are more talented ones who do great SFX stuff if you're more into that.
My last Halloween look is this super glittery one that was inspired by both Kesha and glam rock, and I didn't know what to call it exactly so let's call it Glitter Makeup. Unless you have a cooler name for it.

Great clothing for the look is for example a cute black dress (ignore me wearing pants under there), or anything leather. I had a lot of fun playing with the glitter here, although the remains will haunt me through next year. You can rock this look with any hair color, but I loved pairing it with the black wig to make it more edgy.

If you guys like the necklace I'm wearing in this post, you should check out Happiness Boutique (click here: http://www.happinessboutique.com/en/). They have such beautiful jewelry and they generously gifted this one to style. I was planning on wearing this on my wedding day, but I actually like that it makes it's debut here as an inspiration piece for an Halloween look.
If you'd like to get your own piece, click here and get the same one I'm having: http://www.happinessboutique.com/en/necklaces/bold-clear-crystals-statement-necklace-738
What do you guys think about this look? Let me know in the comments below!
Now, I'm heading straight to bed, because my sleep is a bit overdue and tomorrow is a long day at the office with a ton of things to do. I try to get something for you to read tomorrow, but won't make promises because I don't know how to day will evolve. But I will see you as soon as possible. In the meantime, follow me on social media to catch up with the latest!
Have a lovely week ♥

Halloween 2015: Pirate Costume
Monday, October 26, 2015
Hello lovelies!
How are you all this morning? ♥

How are you all this morning? ♥
I'm sorry for not posting a whole lot on the weekend, but life offline felt more important than sitting on a laptop. However, today I really need to line up posts for this week so that I can get the blog posts rolling more. (Still one Halloween look to go, then it's back to normal with the posts.)
Today, I'm sharing a Halloween costume I've been wanting to do a long time now. A pirate. Inspired strongly by Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean, but done a bit more girly way. Maybe.

This costume was put up with things I already had home: White loose blouse, a masculine vest, bit baggy pants, tall boots that can be folded a bit, scarf for tying the waist, black wristband, red scarf for the head, some rings, and a necklace with appropriate charms to add to the head. The black wig was a nice touch, but you can absolutely do this with your natural hair - because you don't actually have to do your hair much. The makeup is mostly eyeliner and a messy smokey eye with some sculpting for cheeks.
Easy, right?
What do you guys think about this look? Let me know in the comments!
Now, today will be different as I will be posting another costume in the evening. This will be an exception, but I want to get these out so that you'll all have the chance to go and get items if some of these maybe inspire you to create a look for the Halloween parties. So I'll see you in the evening!
Have a lovely start for your week ♥
Army Inspired ♥

Hey lovelies!
How are you today? ♥

Sweater: secondhand
Camo pants: secondhand
Combat boots: Skobox
Necklaces: Gina Tricot, my fiance's box
How are you today? ♥
I have enjoyed a day off from school today, even though I had an online exam to take. But seriously, an exam you can take home doesn't really feel like one. I was also supposed to go to our class' pre-Christmas party, but after going to the nurse and taking my final Twinrix shot, I have been too tired to really go anywhere. But I've been trying to give new life and speed to my old laptop so that I could maybe work with it before getting a new one.
Today, however, I'm going to share this quick outfit post with you. This is something I wore to school last week so finally I have something to post that isn't super old, haha.

Sweater: secondhand
Camo pants: secondhand
Combat boots: Skobox
Necklaces: Gina Tricot, my fiance's box
So again, a very basic look and all, but I just felt like wearing camo pants and then decided to go all army that day. Not sure if anyone else noticed than my man back home, but I really liked this myself. The light is again what it is, but seriously I rather even take a not so nice picture than let the blog go without any outfits. I'm trying to take some nice ones this weekend when we have the time while it's not dark outside. I promise you!
But what do you think about this look? Let me know in the comments below!
Now, I'm gonna prepare tomorrow's post a bit (I'm kinda excited about it), do my nails and have some time alone with my man. But I'll talk to you again tomorrow!
Have a fantastic day, and Happy Thanksgiving to all my american friends out there ♥

Halloween Look: Rocker Babe ♥
Monday, October 27, 2014
Hey guys!
Happy Monday ♥
Today I wanted to show you another idea for a Halloween costume. This on was inspired by Taylor Momsen, whose provocative style I admire a lot. I wouldn't get away with that, not only because I'm way too short, but also because I need try to keep my looks somewhat business appropriate.
But for the parties, and for Halloween, I think anything goes.

Somehow my lips look very overdrawn, but let's not care too, too much about that. Okay?

For this look, you need several shades of purple eye shadow, dark red lipstick and lip liner, and big hair.

For the outfit, I would wear something kinda sexy and possible with a punk vibe. I paired a giant top and a "school girl" skirt, topped with edgy boots and lots of jewelry. Even though I still have a couple of looks to come, I would rank this my own favorite. (No surprise there, huh?)
Let me know what you think about this look, and what are your own plans for a costume, in the comments below! ♥
I'm off to school now, but hopefully I will get another post up for you tonight. Talk to you soon!
Have a fabulous week!

Blogger Inspired Nail Art ♥
Saturday, June 14, 2014
Hello gorgeous people!
How's your weekend going? ♥ We're currently just chilling home as our guests are visiting a housewarming party of their other friends, so I figured I'd use the time to blog. I've been excited to post this one for you as it is a bit different than usually.
Today's post is a nail art post - which isn't really different - but the twist here is that the nail art was actually inspired by this gorgeous outfit I saw on other blogger's site and thought it would look amazing as nail art. You can first check out the inspiring outfit here in Carla's blog: http://www.carlaviolet.com/2014/05/resort-ready.html
And then, see my nail art version of it:

Blue and white, hand-painted floral print and studs. Studs just because I really need them everywhere.

The polishes I used were China Glaze White On White, Splish Splash and Ciaté Headliner. The studs are from Born Pretty Store.

I really liked this mani and I think I should definitely find more inspiration from fashion and style, because I follow so many blogs and always keep seeing different outfits, but many of them wouldn't suit my personal style so I could just wear them on my nails.
So, what do you guys think about these? ♥
Now, I will go read some blogs while waiting our friends, but I try to be back tomorrow with another post.
Have a lovely day!

Hey babes!
How are you all today? ♥
I'm having such a crazy week, though today instead of being busy, I'm spending the day in bed with a severe headache. Oh well. Luckily no deadlines tomorrow so I'm gonna be fine. I hope. Still I have to go to work today, no matter how sick I should feel, because our workplace doctor isn't that eager to give us days off. :D
Anyway, how many of you have amazing plans for tomorrow? It's Valentine's Day after all. I'm thinking good food and a movie night after work for my fiance who is currently having his toe nicely in package as he had a little surgery earlier this week. Don't worry, it was nothing major, but in his words, painful as hell. So on top of everything, I'm trying to be also a nurse to him. Which is kind of fun - am I missing my calling, studying business? Lol.
Today's post, however, is about nail art. I still have designs from December (I know, so, so late!!) that I haven't shared with you, so here's two, once again:

First up is a chevron mani inspired by the super talented @selenadee on Instagram. I loved the idea of chevron, metallics and bright pink together, so of course I had to try this.

In case you want to try chevron mani at home, and you either don't have nail art brushes, or you can use tape as help. I did mine by cutting tape into thin strips with zigzag craft scissors, and using them as guidelines.

And those of you who love the glitter on top of the pink polish, google up China Glaze fairy dust. It's an amazing polish that turns any polish into a glittery one, when added on top of a colorful polish. I personally love it, and I think many of you would, too.

The second one is more subtle, where I played with the white polishes included into my Ciate Christmas calendar, and then added glitter in tips.

This is much more subtle than what I usually do, but I think it's great for variety.
I personally liked these two, but...
What do you guys think? ♥
Now, I'm off to get some more rest - and to organize the home a bit more. I hope soon I'll be able to show it to you as whole. ♥
Have a lovely week!
Blog ya later,
xoxo

Hey Lovelies! ♥
How are you today? And what are your plans for the weekend?
I'm planning to stay home, take it easy and enjoy the last bit of my break before going to school on Monday. :)
As promised on the previous post, here's another piece of last year's nail art:

This manicure is my take on Instagram nail artist @noemihk's work. She's such an inspiration with her superb nail art skills, so if you're on IG, I strongly recommend you to check her out!

I have so many photos of this mani, because I loved it so, so much. It has it all, girly pink, stylish black, rhinestones and shiny silver - all in one mani, not still being too overboard.

I don't know where you get your inspiration for nail art, but IG is my number one place for inspiration. There are so many super talented girls with accounts full of amazing nail art - and they have fabulous personalities to match. But anyway, this mani was both fun to do and fun to wear, and I would definitely do it again.
And then on to the next one:

Glittery mani with black accent nails. I think this was also inspired by some of the IG girls, but I can't seem to remember by who. Anyway, sadly I didn't have the chance to capture this on film on daylight, so the glitter doesn't look as good as it did in real life.

These pictures make me wanna do turquoise nails with silver sparkle, but definitely with less glitter! :D
What do you think about the manis here? What kind of mani is your latest? ♥
I still have one more post for this week - and it'll be about decorating an apartment. I hope it'll be a nice one for you. ;)
Have a lovely weekend, everyone! ♥
Blog ya later,
xoxo

P.S. I finally got some items up to Shop My Closet page! If you like what I wear on my outfit posts, there might be something for you ♥ Go on, check it out!
