Kaleidos x Angelica Nyqvist Club Nebula Palette First Impressions & 3 Looks (I tried every color in the palette for you!)

I'm super excited to put today's post up, because today we're talking about one of my favorite beauty creators out there, and more specifically a palette she got to curate with one of her favorite brands - which is such a mood and I couldn't be happier for her.

Like the title says, I'm of course talking about the Kaleidos x Angelica Nyqvist Club Nebula Palette. If you follow me on Instagram you have seen me talk a little bit about this already, but today I'm giving you the whole first impressions scoop after testing each and every color in the palette at least once.

So let's get straight to it:

My IG followers chose my makeup look, and this is what happened

A little while back I made several polls throughout one week for my followers on IG to determine a look I should create with makeup. They definitely chose things I may have not gone for myself, but was excited to take on the challenge. In this post, I will be breaking down the look choice by choice and showing you the end result, and later this week (and this month) I will be posting more about this look on Instagram, based on the choices people made.

So without further ado, let’s go into what people chose for me (these are all saved on a highlight on my Instagram @jolagerroos if you want to see the polls yourself).

12 Days of Christmas: Battle of the Palettes - Blue Blood VS Blueberry Muffin

Ever since I saw someone (and I believe that someone was Angelica Nyqvist) talk about the BH Cosmetics Blueberry Muffin palette, I immediately knew I wanted to get it and see how close the vibes of it are to Blue Blood by Jeffree Star Cosmetics. I know people really like the Blue Blood as a blue palette, but in the current climate many are shifting from JSC to other brands, preferably more affordable ones, so I'm thinking this post could be useful for you as well.

I also ran this through my bestie who thankfully approved so I didn't have to scrap the post, haha. (Love you Vita ♥)

Wisdom Wednesday: How I Take and Edit My Makeup Photos

Every now and then I get questions in my dms about how I take my makeup photos, and while I'm nowhere near a pro, there's definitely a thing or two I could share with you that might help you out find your best ways of taking makeup pictures. If this sounds like something you're interested in, or if you just want to peek behind the scenes of my posts, keep on reading. Note! These tips apply only to my Instagram pics, for my blog pics there's whole another road.

Jeffree Star Blood Lust Collection Review

This post is massively overdue, but hey, here we go. I'm not going to further address the elephant in the room that is the pandemic, because I assume if you're reading this instead of the news, you rather escape the reality for a minute o few. So do I. And therefore without further ado, let's take a moment to discuss Jeffree Star Blood Lust collection, and more specifically the items I got from it; the palette and the mini lipstick bundle. At the end of the post, I'll also show you some of the looks I've made with the palette.

Jeffree Star Conspiracy Palette Review

Hello from your inconsistent blogger friend. The end of the year has felt like a whirlwind and therefore keeping up a blogging schedule has seemed like an impossible task. But since I'm sure many of you have had a busy season too, you probably haven't had time to miss my posts too much. And to shamelessly self-promote, you can always find me on Instagram. I'm pretty active there more or less daily and was just scheming for upcoming things next year.

Anyway, let's get into the reason why you most likely clicked on this post. The infamous Conspiracy Palette. I was going to do a first impression on it, but since it's been a couple of months since the release, this turned into an actual review. Hope this will help you out in case you missed the first launch and are figuring out whether or not get it. And also at the end, there are examples on how to use the palette in case you need inspiration.

Tips on Colorful Makeup

Since I took a few days off from writing, today I'm combining Support Sunday and Makeup Monday (but yet posting on Tuesday, sorry for confusing everyone!) to share not only my tips and tricks to wearing colorful makeup, but also a youtuber that inspires my makeup a lot. If that's something you'd love to hear, keep on reading!

Shane Dawson Mini Controversy First Impressions

Today's post is something I didn't even dream of being able to do this quickly but lucky for us my boyfriend is an MVP and manage to get his hands on the Shane Dawson Mini Controversy Palette that Shane released in collaboration with Jeffree Star Cosmetics (in case your not familiar in happenings of the beauty world for some reason). So today, we're diving into the palette and talking about my first impressions with it. As for the bigger palette, I'll cover that one once my order arrives, which could take a week or two taken how many orders they have to process. And like you may have gathered in social media and/or trying to buy the products yourself, the launch was an apocalypse. But apparently I managed to grab things for me and my bestie, which is amazing and I'm especially stoked I could get her something she has waited forever even though it was stressful and made me broke.

Anyway, let's talk about the one thing I do have already:

Fall Makeup Inspiration

Let's talk more about the creative stuff, okay? Because with autumn vibes often comes the autumn makeup inspiration. Even though I'm still not one to believe in some colors to only be appropriate in certain seasons, I do sometimes gravitate towards seasonal things after seeing so much of it in social media. And bit of seasonal inspo is so much fun, right?

Current Makeup Favorites

If you're following me on Instagram and ever wondering what products I use to beat my face - because let's be real, I'm not enough beauty guru to list all the things under every single post - today is your chance to take a look into my current makeup routine and the things I prefer

Jeffree Star Jawbreaker Palette Review (+ two bonus items)

I feel like everyone and their mom have already reviewed this palette, but how many of them have truly reviewed it? Like, used all the shades, worn the palette for a month straight, seen the good, bad and the udgy of it. Well, not that there's actually an ugly side to the palette - in my experience there isn't - but just to use the saying. In this post, we'll dive into the Jeffree Star Jawbreaker Palette and two non-JSC products, because I want to give shoutouts to them too.

Real Techniques Brush Review

This post is something I've been meaning to put up earlier, but posting it now makes it actually more valuable for you because I've had the time to use these products and I can share my experince with you rather than showing cute things I got.

So if you are thinking of getting cruelty-free makeup tools, keep on reading!

Jeffree Star Blue Blood Palette First Impression

Today I'm happy to share what might be the most exciting makeup release to me this spring. The Blue Blood Palette by Jeffree Star. Since the palette is only a week old, I can't give you a full review, but I can share what are my first thoughts and impressions about it.

So without further ado, let's get into it.

Red Cherry Lashes Review

Today's post is something I'm very excited about, and it took longer than I thought to create but I believe is better to make it properly right away than have to maybe correct many things so that's why this is up a bit later than I originally planned. Hope you can appreciate that.

At the beginning of the month, I got contacted by False Lashes UK about possible cooperation. I'm a big fan of lashes, so I thought this would be a good fit for me. I don't do too many sponsored posts or collabs because most I get offered are either not a good fit for the blog/me or they're sounding unreasonable (looking at you, Chinese companies expecting things for 10$...). I know this is still a hobby for me and I do things when I just have a good while, but that's even more reason to be picky about the collabs I take. So even though I received the products here for free, the opinions are my own and unbiased, like if I had bought these with my own money.

But without further blabbering, let's get into the lash try-ons:

Jeffree Star Alien Palette - Worth The Price Tag?

If you follow me on Instagram, you might know I got some Jeffree Star goodies from my boyfriend. I don't know how I deserved these after the Body Shop Calendar but apparently someone wants to absolutely spoil me. I will talk about them all in this post, but my main focus will be on the Alien Palette, since I'm sure that's what interests most of you the most.

Depotting Broken Palettes + Decluttering my makeup

A while back, I saw YouTube videos about making your own palettes with existing eye shadows and depotting stuff etc. (Like this one from Angelica Nyqvist where she duped a Jeffree Star palette) That made me think about all the beat up palettes I have (without lid and so on as they are old and have travelled/got dropped on the floor), and how I should put the shades into Z-palettes to possibly get more use out of them. So, I hopped on Beauty Bay, and got a couple of palettes and some extra magnets.

Operation No Foundation

So, after all the Halloween looks, and as the dry inside season of winter is coming up, I thought I should consider some actions for my skin to make it feel better. And even though I love an occasional full glam with perfect coverage, I'm also intrigued to get my skin in such shape that I can go no-foundation style most days.

Blogoween: Sultry Siren

Happy Sunday people! I'm again a bit late on today's post but I was more or less having a mental health day and not really sitting on computer that much - but rather having a long phone call with a dear friend and playing with the cat and chilling with my boyfriend. However, here's something I created on Friday:

Blogoween: Eevee Costume

Today's post is up a little late to the schedule (sorry!) because I was busier with things than I thought and didn't get to assemble the costume before today. But nevertheless, I feel it cam out fine and I'm happy to share it with you.

September Rose Cosmetics Slush Palette

This year, I've been buying more colorful eyeshadow palettes inspired by Angelica Nyqvist - as I've shown you in form of talking about colorful NYX and Juvia's Place palettes. Today, I'm sharing another colorful one I've been loving lately: September Rose Cosmetics Slush palette.
