Red With Gray ♥

Heya everyone!

How are you all today? ♥

I'm typing on an ungodly hour (2:20am to be exact) since we had a little independent fire escape practice again at the building, and I find sleeping a bit tough after that. Oh well, at least it gives me a reason to blog. I noticed I have yet another wintery outfit to share with you, and this one also has some snow in the background. Not that we'd have that anymore, it's all practically gone. I hope that means spring, I have so many ideas for the warmer weather and ice-free sidewalks.

Anyhow, to the outfit:

A red-gray look with casual elements, and me rediscovering one of my favorite shirts.

Coat: Rukka/Intersport Hat: Tokmanni Scarf: secondhand Necklace: Gina Tricot Jeans: secondhand Boots: eBay Rings: JC, Gina Tricot, H&M

This was one of my favorite looks to wear this winter - yes, I consider winter being over already as the snow is mostly gone - and I can't wait to get to the full spring looks. There still will be some transition outfits for sure as the weather is still kinda cold, but hopefully I can already switch to lighter jackets/coats and maybe even wear skirts. ;)

But, let me know what you guys think about this look!

Now, I gotta go try and get some sleep before morning, when we gotta get up early and run some errands the the city. But I'll be back as soon as I can with more posts!

Have a fabulous day ♥

Detailed vs. Simple ♥

Hey lovelies!

How are you all? ♥

Who else watched the Olympics this weekend? I was so excited about the ice hockey medal games - and for those who don't follow sports, team Finland won bronze against team USA which was quite an achievement for the team, even if we had Selänne, Timonen, Salo and other awesome players. I'm so proud of the team, it was great experience for the young players and a great way from some of the older ones to end their journey in the national team. So again, thank you team Finland, thank you Teemu Selänne, and Tuukka Rask, you rock! Awesome playing.

Also I'm so happy for team Canada for winning the gold, totally deserved win!

Luckily, after a week it's time for the Oscars, so I don't have the time to be upset about the Olympic hockey to be over. I need to make some great food and such for the event - hopefully I can make a themed post before Sunday about the snacks and stuff so maybe you can enjoy the same things I do. ;)

But anyways, now to the real topic today, nails:

 photo DSC06807Large.jpg

First up is this pretty detailed burgundy-gold-navy mani I created last month. And it's appropriately shot with a golden jewelry, haha.

 photo DSC06818Large.jpg

I'm not sure where I was going with this mani, but apparently I tried many things that happily go together well.

 photo DSC06815Large.jpg

 photo DSC06800Large.jpg

The polishes I used for this mani are Essie Thigh High, China Glaze Goldie But Goodie, Essie Liqorice and Ciaté Power Dressing. The giraffe print is from a Born Pretty Store plate QA25, and the gold studs as well as the hexagon glitters are also from Born Pretty Store. And I wanna remind you, if you go and buy from there, take advantage of the discount code JVNT10 to get 10 percent off your purchase. ;) (It's good everywhere on their site, not just for nail art or fashion items!)

 photo DSC06809Large.jpg

 photo DSC07029Large.jpg

Our next contestant is this very simple purple mani, where I used different glitter polishes and made them matte so that they wouldn't be so typical glitter manis.

 photo DSC07040Large.jpg

 photo DSC07038Large.jpg

I absolutely love the colors here, they work pretty nicely together. And this shows that sometimes simple works even more nicely than detailed. I think.

 photo DSC07035Large.jpg

The polishes used here are China Glaze Lovely Lilac, China Glaze Your Present Required, China Glaze Charmed, I'm Sure, China Glaze Be Merry, Be Bright, Essie A Cut Above and L'Oreal Color Riche Confettis.

 photo DSC07037Large.jpg

So that's all I have for you today, now the only question remains:

Which one you like better, the detailed, or the simple glitter sammich one? Let me know in the comments! ♥

Now I'm gonna go watch Lord of the Rings with my fiance, who has never seen it (can you believe??). I'll be back tomorrow with another post, so see you then!

Have a fabulous day! ♥

Baby It's Cold Outside ♥

Heya chicas!

How are you all today? ♥

Who else is excited about the Olympic hockey? I am, as the Finnish team will be fighting for medals - only they need to find out whether they'll be in the bronze game or gold game by playing against team Sweden the coming afternoon. I'm so happy I get to watch the game before work that I actually planned on baking a big pile of cupcakes for it. (And they make a nice present for the relatives we're going to visit on Saturday!)

But however, today I wanted to share a winter outfit with you. This is from the very cold days, but I can admit wearing this kind of outfits kinda lot lately, even though the weather isn't that cold anymore. So, without further ado, my winter's go-to kind of look:

 photo DSC06879Large.jpg

Coat: Rukka/Intersport Knit: Cubus Jeans: secondhand Shoes: SpiritStore Necklace: Boohoo Bag: Boohoo Beanie: DIY

So this is the way I usually dress in winter time, when it's cold. Pretty simple, but accessorized so that it has somewhat it's own twist. I absolutely love the oxblood jeans I bought from another blogger, they're so comfy and cool and I've been nearly living in them. (That is, when I'm not living in my sports pants, haha.) What else could I say... Oh, I tried to match my boots to my furry hood there, can you see?

So, that's all for today, I try to get a nail art post and a baking post up for you this week, at least - hopefully even more - but we'll see what I can come up with. ;)

I still wanna know what you guys think about this look, so please tell me on the comments! ♥

Now, I gotta go catch some sleep to be up early enough to make the food for the hockey game. See you soon!

Have a fabulous day ♥

MUA Haul ♥

Hola lovelies!

How was your weekend? ♥

Sorry for being MIA, but the boys got my attention with all the activities, and to be honest, the break was good for me. Today's post is something I planned on publishing on Friday but only had the time today. I haven't even opened my laptop the whole weekend - I know, such a bad blogger... Sorry guys.

Anyway, on Thursday, the mailman brought me a little package that held inside it fun items I had been waiting for a couple of weeks. Wanna know more?

Then, keep reading:

 photo DSC07125Large.jpg

A nice pile on cosmetics, mainly lipsticks and such. I've been obsessed with nice, colorful lips lately, so I thought it's appropriate to complete my collection a bit. Let's take a closer look on what I got.

 photo DSC07127Large.jpg

First up, a nude colored lipgloss, a product I already have in few colors also on this one, but I love them so much I felt I need to buy another one just to make sure I won't run out. The shade here is called "Let's Meet". Swatches for this and all the other products can be seen in the last photo.

 photo DSC07129Large.jpg

£1 lipstick in the shade 1, which is pigment rich dark red, perfect for festive, feminine looks with simple eye makeup.

 photo DSC07130Large.jpg

Matte lipstick in the shade Wild Berry, also a nice dark red, but a matte (obviously) and a bit more purple. I will do a post comparing some of the shades I have later this spring, once I get to test everything properly.

 photo DSC07132Large.jpg

Matte lipstick in shade Peachy Keen. A lovely coral kind of peach shade, that I'll probably wearing a lot in spring and summer, as I think it'll look fabulous with a little bit of tan.

 photo DSC07134Large.jpg

Little freebie I got for spending more than £10 at the site, Color Blast eyeshadow in the shade Bring It Back. It is a nice copper kind of brown, but I have yet to figure out how to wear this kind of a shade.

 photo DSC07136Large.jpg

Lip liner, in the shade Brooding Plum. It's not exactly a plum color, to me, but it is a nice dark red, and will surely be great with the dark red lipsticks I showed you above.

 photo DSC07138Large.jpg

MUA Luxe Power Brow, in shade Fair. I love testing new eye brow products, so naturally this one had to be purchased. And look:

 photo DSC07137Large.jpg

It also has a highlighter in it. I already have tried this over the weekend, and I can honestly say I really love this product a lot.

 photo DSC07140Large.jpg

MUA Luxe Glitter Palette in the shade Rock Chic. Absolutely gorgeous looking glitter gel eye shadows, that are a bit of a pain to apply and get to stay in place, but once you do, they look fabulous on.

 photo DSC07141Large.jpg

MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Laquer in shade Criminal, a fabulous bright pink color that pops on your lips. These, I guess, are kind of dupes for Lime Crime Velvetines, and for those of you who won't spend $20 for a lipgloss, I recommend giving these a chance.

 photo DSC07143Large.jpg

The same one in the shade Kooky, which is a nice deep plum color. I'm not sure whether this is a good shade for me, but for £3, I figured I could try it out.

 photo DSC07144Large.jpg

And another one, in shade Reckless. It is a bit darker than the pic reads, but anyways it's a lovely red shade and I believe it will get a lot of use later on.

 photo DSC07147Large.jpg

And the swatches, from left to right, from top to bottom: Sheer Finish Lipgloss - Let's Meet, Lipstick - 1, Matte Lipstick - Wild Berry, Matte Lipstick - Peachy Keen, Colour Blast Eyeshadow - Bring It Back, two glitters from Rock Chic Palette, MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Laquer - Kooky, MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Laquer - Criminal, MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Laquer - Reckless, Lip Liner - Brooding Plum, MUA Luxe Power Brow - Fair (color & highlight), two other glitters from Rock Chic Palette.

So, that's all for today, I hope this week will be more active here on the blog because I have so, so much to post for you guys. Also I hope we can hit the fabulous 300 readers some time soon, so I can start setting up a nice giveaway for you all. I already have some cool things for you, and I will be getting some more when I go shopping later this week. So if you haven't already, please join this site and add it to your blogroll so we can have that giveaway up and running!

Now, I must go get ready for running errands with my fiance, but I'll be back as soon as I can, and I will totally want to read your blogs, so do leave comments so I can check yours out and find more lovely blogs for my reading list on Bloglovin'.

Have a fabulous day! ♥

Valentine's Day Nail Art

Heya lovelies!

How are you all? ♥

I'm almost done with my week at work, and totally ready to welcome the weekend I'm gonna spend with boys, playing video games, watching sports and having drinks. But tomorrow (well, technically, today) is Valentine's Day, and even if I know we're not gonna do anything too special, I'm still pretty excited because it gives me an excuse to dress up or girly and cute - hopefully photos will follow!

Today, however, I wanted to share couple of V-Day nail art ideas with you. First of these is my actual Valentine's Day mani, and the second one is something I made already last month - and had a problem editing the pics...

 photo DSC07111Large.jpg

So, my Valentine's Day mani this year is a little mix 'n' match mani with lots of pink and hearts. Again, I was trying new things, so I'm not 100% happy with it, but it's pretty nice anyways.

 photo DSC07115Large.jpg

And my thumb says "love". Cute.

 photo DSC07117Large.jpg

 photo DSC07118Large.jpg

I'm sorry for the little mess the nails might have, but my top coat was running low and I can't get another one before the weekend, so... Yeah. Awkward, I know.

 photo DSC07121Large.jpg

 photo DSC06922Large.jpg

Okay, so, with this one, I had huge problems with the light, so I couldn't quite get the shades right... But try to look a bit past that, okay? I'm so bad with photo editing that it's hard for me to get the colors right, but I tried filters - and probably failed completely. :D

 photo DSC06923Large.jpg

 photo DSC06928Large.jpg

So this one, too, is a mix 'n' match mani, with gradient heart, a bow, triangle and glitter! I'm so, so sorry you can't see all it's cuteness here, like I said, the light was impossible to work with and I didn't have the chance to shoot the photos again. Boo.

 photo DSC06932Large.jpg

I will provide you with the instructions for the gradient heart later on, so if you're curious about that, just stay tuned!

 photo DSC06933Large.jpg

So, here are my little bits of inspiration for V-Day nails. I really hope you liked them, and tomorrow, I will be posting a little makeup haul for you to see (I'm super excited about that!).

What do you guys think about these? What will you wear on your nails on Valentine's Day? Comment below and let me know!

Now it's time to go get some sleep so that I will be up early to get all the things done before the boys get here, so good night for those reading this before going to sleep!

Have a lovely day ♥

Furry Accessories ♥

Hello lovelies!

So, yesterday and the day after didn't leave me any time to blog - boo! But today, I have a little outfit post for you, before going to get my workout and early dinner done before work.

These pictures were taken last month, when it was still a bit colder - and when neither of us had flu, so we could actually have some photoshoots. Anyway, soon I hope my man will get healthy too, and that we can take more pics. Tomorrow, I will post a Valentine's Day nail art inspiration post with two manicures to inspire you for Friday, and on Friday I hope I can get a haul post to show for you. But we'll see!

Okay, so, to the outfit. This was something casual I wore last month before the weather got actually arctic, so don't worry if I seem like I don't have enough clothes. I do.

Coat: Mango Jeans: Gina Tricot Fur hood: Seppälä Boots: SpiritStore Knit: Boohoo Necklace: Boohoo

Very simple outfit, more of playing with colors and fur than really anything else. Perfect for running errands and spending the day with friends.

Like I said, on the next post, I will show you ideas for Valentine's Day themed nail art, and I really hope you'll enjoy that.

Have a lovely day! ♥
