Duping the Spring 2021 trends with things I already own

Another season is starting really soon, and in the fashion world that means getting into new trends. I always highly encourage you to think style over fashion, and this is why today, I'm showing you how I would style my existing clothes to embrace the Spring 2021 mentioned in this Vogue article. There are couple that I didn't style, and I will let you know why when we get to them. The style names I used are more or less copied from the Vogue article just so you can compare them if you please.

Let's get straight into the looks:

Support Sunday: Fashionistas to Follow on Instagram

Today, I'm really wanting to share some love to ladies who inspire me, my style and my photography (last of those not yet so much since I'm a noob though) constantly. And since you are reading this, I assume you get inspired by more or less same things than I do. I believe all of the ladies I mention in this post have more than their Instagram, but links for everything you can find on their profiles so please just go check them out, give their posts some love and give them follows, too.

Etsy Harnesses

Since I've been on a journey to have less clothes, having a few more accessories makes a lot of sense to me. With the right accessories, I can make more out of my existing clothing items, and I can add a vibe to the look any time I feel like it. That's why I head to Etsy, and got some things to spice up my outfits.

All Black Everything

You know how I love my black clothes? This look is no exception to that rule. At all. We shot this one earlier this Spring, when the nature hadn't yet woken up and gotten all green as it is now. Right now, I couldn't imagine wearing that heavy scarf or the leather jacket as it is so hot.

Spring In My Step

Finally. I'm actually posting an outfit here. Of course I posted kind of one about the wedding look earlier this year, but it's been forever since I did a proper outfit post with someone else taking my photos. And this feels good. It feels right. This is why I started the blog in the first place. For my love for style. Of course I blabber here about anything that inspires me but I'm most excited about fashion in general. So here you have the first outfit post of the year:

Creating Capsule Wardrobe

After decluttering my closet and really putting thought into how many clothes I really need - and what kind of items I want to own (as seen here), I wanted to take the challenge one step further. I wanted to create a capsule wardrobe, which would include the core items of the season we're currently in, so that picking out an outfit for each day would be an easier process.

The things I had as quidelines were:
- Rock chic
- Mix of totally me & office appropriate
- Red, blue, black, white and grey as main colors
- Only own clothes you love (apart from few that you need in addition)

Wardrobe Wishlist

You know how I mentioned capsule wardrobe in my Bucket List post? While I absolutely want to create one and have less stuff in my wardrobe, I also want to freshen up my style and outfits a little bit. I don't by any means say that I absolutely need all of these, but more that I wish I had these in my closet. Some of these would replace old, maybe bit outdated stuff in my closet, but some would be addition to it. All in all I would still get rid of more clothes than I'd buy, since I have too much in there. But you know, a girl can dream about clothes, right?

I do own two plaid skirts, but I would happily change one or both to a more chic one.

Boohoo Haul ♥

Heya everyone ♥

How are you all today?

I'm doing fine, though work is bit overwhelming this week. We have our craziest week of the year now and if I just wanted, I could work around the clock every day. That makes blogging a bit of a challenge, as I can't spend as much time typing as I would love to.

Luckily, I had this little post with the pictures ready, so I can actually share something new with you tonight. (If you'd rather see an outfit post than a haul, see the previous one! ;))

This one is about a small Boohoo order I placed a while ago, but it also includes couple of things from the Nelly haul, too. The reason I moved them here was that I thought it's more clear to have a separate shoe post because there were so many. But, are you ready to see my somewhat new stuff?

Good.

 photo DSC06011Large.jpg

Sequined blazer with fun zipper edges. I've been wanting one for ages and finally found one for a reasonable price. And because the other element here is faux leather, it makes it easy to combine this with my usual style.

 photo DSC06014Large.jpg

Diamond bra (Nelly.com). Well, I admit this one is somewhat crazy purchase, but this would be awesome for clubbing and partying - and surely it can be layered for more casual looks in summer. We'll see what I can do with this.

 photo DSC06015Large.jpg

Double ring with chains (Nelly.com). Just another little thing I "needed" for spicing up my outfits.

 photo DSC06017Large.jpg

Studded hairband. Even though I don't use that many hair accessories, I totally saw myself wearing this so I ordered it. I have used this few times already, and I really love it. Totally worth buying.

 photo DSC06019Large.jpg

A nice geometric gold necklace which will look awesome with simple tops and dresses. I had been eyeing this one for quite a while now and finally decided to buy it.

 photo DSC06021Large.jpg

Another necklace, a one with pearls since I don't have that may of those. I absolutely love this one and can't wait to style some looks with it on them.

 photo DSC06023Large.jpg

And last but not least, a cute little clutch with snake print. I don't have many evening bags so I figured I could get this one to grab with me when I go out. I also has a tiny chain so it can be worn as cross body bag as well.

So girls, what do you think about these finds? ♥

This is all I have for you today, sorry it's just a haul again. I will have another post up tomorrow night, and I promise it will be something else than what I've bought! Now, however, I need to go catch some sleep as I gotta get up early in the morning to do my chores and all the other things before work.

Have a fabulous day!

Blog ya later,

xoxo

Mini Haul From Boohoo ♥

Hey lovelies!

How are you today? ♥

I've been more busy on my day off than I truly expected, as I went to hair stylist, then to the second hand shops to find some cool items, then to late lunch with my boyfriend, and after that more shopping and a snap decision trip to the movies. So, I just got home an hour ago and even though I hope I could write a longer post now, I simply have too much to do. So sorry.

But, here's a quick little one to show you what I recently purchased from Boohoo. This package arrived yesterday, and you can probably find these or similar items still there online.

 photo DSC05689Large.jpg

A cozy knit in a lovely Autumn color. This one is already today on me, and it is so soft, warm and comfortable, without still being very chunky, so it goes nicely under a tight-fit jackets that I'm keen on wearing every Autumn.

 photo DSC05692Large.jpg

The same color can also be found on this wet look sleeved top that also has some cut out action going on. I love this one, and can't wait to wear it soon! ♥

 photo DSC05694Large.jpg

Oh yeah, I know, too much of a same color. I somehow got over my fear of it by wearing a nail polish of that shade, so now I want to wrap myself to it. I'm crazy, I know. Anyway, a girl can never have too many sneakers, right? I mean, they're practical shoes, after all. ;)

Psst! As we speak, Boohoo is having 25% off of all footwear with the code FOOTLOOSE, so now it's the perfect time to go get yours.

And no, I'm not getting paid to write this post. I'm just trying to be nice and helpful.

 photo DSC05700Large.jpg

And last but not least, a neutral scarf with some coral detail. I absolutely love this one, it's so big and flowy, just the perfect scarf for snuggling inside it on the cold days.

Now, I need to be off to try to build my very own DIY light box (Thanks for the idea, Janita, let's see whether I have the skills to make my own...) so that the missing light wouldn't be an issue.

So, what do you guys think about my finds? And, have you bought anything nice lately? ♥

Have a lovely day!

Blog ya later,

xoxo

On the Road: Björn Borg

Heya babes!

How are you today? Has your weekend been lovely?

I have been productive when it comes to rearranging our home and my life, and I'm starting to feel way more energetic than I have in a long, long while. Yay for Spring getting closer and closer! The ones following me in IG might know I had a little Ikea puzzle to solve yesterday, which made a whole difference in our bedroom. More on that when I post a proper house tour. ;)

But today, let's continue with my Stockholm trip, shall we?

We we're supposed to book a company visit on our own - meaning that we had to choose a company that has a headquarters in Stockholm, contact them and try to get a visit for our class in their HQ. We chose Björn Borg, which is a Swedish underwear/fashion brand, whose main thing is fun prints, and fun, sexy fashion.

 photo DSC09048.jpg

The morning started way too early with a big breakfast on Viking Grace (see more about Grace here!), after which me and the girls tried to get our faces on, and then it was time for a quite long morning walk with our luggage. We left our luggage into our hotel, without checking in because it was way too early for that, and decided to check out the city before heading to BB.

 photo DSC09049.jpg

The only flaw in our plan was that nothing was open that early, except for the cute little coffee shops, so we went in one of those, and ordered warm drinks to keep us warm from the wet snow outside.

 photo kahvila.jpg

Lol, my face is so glamorous in this shot... (Photo credit: May) This was taken in the coffee shop when we were planning what we were going to do that day, besides visiting Björn Borg.

 photo DSC09053.jpg

At noon our posse of students headed to the HQ of Björn Borg, where we got introduced to their business, and where we learned a lot about their products and their future plans. The best part, in my opinion, was to get to roam around in their showrooms, check out the upcoming products and even to take many photos! Thank you so much for everyone in BB for the amazing opportunity! ♥

 photo DSC09054.jpg

As a person who had always thought BB as an underwear company, it was fun to know all the other things they have - like socks and sportswear. The most fun thing about their products is that they try to interpret fashion as this fun thing with what you can express yourself. And what's more fun than colorful underwear?

 photo DSC09055.jpg

The thing we got told most was "fashion is fun", which totally made my attitude towards the brand even more positive than it already was. They use this "fun sexy" attitude in their commercials, which is so much more easier to relate to than the usual "serious sexy" that you can spot on eg. Calvin Klein commercials.

 photo DSC09056.jpg

I was playing paparazzi, taking way too many photos of May on the trip. :D Sorry girl, I promise I won't share most of them, though! ♥

 photo DSC09059.jpg

 photo DSC09062.jpg

The lamps were plastered with BB's own prints, which was such a fun idea, and it looked cool as well! I don't even have all the cool details in film, which is such a shame, as there were so many nice things around the office.

 photo DSC09064.jpg

We got introduced to their next A/W sports line, and even though I'm not a big fan of mustard and burgundy, these clothes nearly convinced me I should get some into my wardrobe in Autumn.

 photo DSC09066.jpg

 photo DSC09069.jpg

After BB, and a trip to the Finnish embassy (no pics from there, sorry!!), we tagged along with the boys and headed to T.G.I. Friday's to eat nice grilled food. Again, I'm kicking myself for not taking more pictures of the place itself, because it was pretty cool.

 photo DSC09070.jpg

My meal - Cheese Burger with sauce, a great basic meal which rarely goes wrong anywhere.

 photo DSC09071.jpg

P's food, which she generously let me photograph. It looked so good as well!

 photo DSC09072.jpg

And May's BBQ Burger. The main courses were pretty basic, pretty good, but nothing special. But the desserts...

 photo DSC09073.jpg

...they were amazing. Me and May had a big mental battle whether to order drinks or desserts, but I'm so glad we ended up getting the latter. We both got this Oreo milkshake, and it was so good I can't even describe it! Next time, though, I will definitely try out the drinks. They seemed way too amazing!

 photo DSC09075.jpg

After dinner we walked to our small hotel room, got out of our wet clothes, and after a quick trip to downstairs sauna (or bastu, as they say in Sweden), we were totally ready to get some sleep. After all, we knew we were going to have a long day the next day. But more about that on the next post. ;)

Hope you've all had a nice weekend! ♥

Saturday Nailed Fever

Heya People!

Happy Saturday ♥

Today's post is once again quite short, due to my hectic hometown schedule - I'm seeing so many friends I really can't use the computer. You know how it is. ;)

But here's some inspiration for your nail art, I really hope you like these!

31-day Manicure Challenge

#25, Inspired by fashion

I went through some serious Google search to find the inspiration for these. I kinda dreamed of recreating some classic pattern or something on my nails, but instead, I went for corset design. It was my first time doing this, and I tried to make them more "bling" with some additional stars. ;)

Okay, way too much photographing these... But I  really loved them a lot!

#26, Inspired by pattern

This was one of those days I really didn't feel like doing my nails (can you believe?) And I wasn't too inspired by the theme, either. So if you find this mani a little dull, boring, or not my best work... You're entitled to. :D I don't know if I was inspired more by confetti, bubbles, polka dots or fish scales... But that can be up to you.

All in all, this was just a bit different French mani.

#27, Inspired by artwork

I don't know how many of you counts black and white photos as art, but I decided that's good enough. We have some B/W photos of flowers on our wall (from IKEA, lol), and I used them as an inspiration. I wasn't a big fan of these nails, but here they are anyways... :D

A little different than what I usually do. Still not sure if that's good or bad. :D

Anyways, here's all I have for you today! I hope next week, I can bring you a bit longer posts with some bits of my daily life as well.

Tell me what you think about the manicures here, which one is your favorite? ;) Also, if you have a manicure you would like to see here with a tutorial, leave the request on the comment box!

I hope everyone is having an amazing weekend with the nearest and dearest - I know I am! ♥

Blog ya later,
