Last Nails of 2014 ♥

Hello darlings!

How are you today? ♥

I had a short, yet quite challenging day at school, as the lecture of the day was about financial stuff - mostly accounting - so the three hours were harder on me than I had expected. But, I managed to do the tasks I had planned for today, including reading more of my essay book. I can quit confidently say that it will be a proper essay later this week. Though, I can admit having procrastinated more than I would've liked to. But you know, nothing makes you work like a deadline, right?

Today, I'm just writing a quick post showing the last two manicures of 2014 - at least the ones that I photographed as one was solely captured with my cell properly. (Bad me.)

So this is how my Christmas mani looked like, lights, tree, glitter and candy cane. Pretty traditional, and nothing new. But tradition is why I needed to do something like this for Christmas.

For these I used China Glaze White On White, Pining For Glitter, Seas The Day, Gossip Over Gimlets, Gosh Blue Balloon, L'Oreal Color Riche Green Couture and couple of other polishes.

The only thing that I didn't like was the untidy finish of the light nails. Somehow the rest of m black polish seems to have dried up so I definitely need to invest in a new one (and maybe in some acrylic paints as I'm on it).

The other one is a pretty simple mani that kinda worked as a transition mani between Christmas and NYE nails. It's festive, but not too obviously Christmassy. Not exactly my favorite, but I did love the sparkle.

For these I used Essie Thigh High, China Glaze Twinkle Lights and De-Light. The idea I had was very simple, I just decided to add a lot of glitter and be done with it.

This was fun to wear, but a pain to remove - as you can guess. That's the cost of loving glitter a lot.

So there, the two last manis for 2014 . I had so much fun with nails last year, and will definitely be continuing that this year. I'm eager to learn new techniques as well as to better my old ones, so I think we will have quite fun time with that here on the blog.

What do you guys think about these nails? Let me know down below ♥

Also, if you have suggestions for possible nail art tutorials, hit me with a message and I try to make it happen. Now, I'm hitting the sofa for a while an unwind watching some series before bed. I'll be back soon with another topic!

Have a fabulous day!

  1. They look so cool! I always want to do amazing manis like that but I always end up with nail polish all over my fingers (and not just fingernails!)

    1. Thank you! I can tell you that most of us have started like that (me as well) but after seeing couple of helpful tutorials, I started to get a hang of it. :) And you know, if you make a mess, there's always remover ;) ♥

  3. These are awesome!!! You actually inspired me to do something sparkly, but I suck at doing things with my nails so I'm sure it won't come out right lol

    1. Thank you Giselle! I believe you are totally fine with doing nails, and sparkly nails are good to start out with, as glitter is always pretty, no matter how you use it. :) ♥

  4. I love your nails! I wish I saw the Christmas one earlier! I will try something similar to the last one, though maybe not ombre cuz that might get messy haha :)
