Halloween Nails 2017: Black Cat

Hello lovelies!

It's been a while. Too long of a while. Life has been a bit crazy to say the least, and blogging has been the least of my worries for months. Some of you know what I mean, and for the rest of you, storytime will follow once I feel it's time for that. But for this month, I'd rather concentrate on lighter things. Things that make me happy.

Like Halloween. And nails.

I felt that for me, there's not more appropriate way to make a blogging comeback than post some fun Halloween nails. I hope you'll agree.

Cat nails

So, to kick off this Halloween season, I created a black cat inspired set of nails. I wanted to something quite black and orange, and tried to come up with a design that would get my nail art game started nicely. I feel like I maybe actually managed to do that.

One thing I also craved for was a matte finish. So I used Essie Matte About You on top to take the shine off, and I think it goes nicely with the design. Also, I messed up the cat face a bit but didn't have a chance to fix it because I was going on a trip the day I took these photos.

Glitter nails

One thing I like a lot on nail art is matte top coat on glitter nails. It creates such a cool effect somehow. Like here, when I layered two glitter polishes over a black base and topped it then with Essie matte top coat. Of course if you know me at all, you know I love glitter as it is, sparkly and all, but this was certainly a nice change.

Cat nail art

The polishes used for this design were all by China Glaze. Shades I chose are called Liquid Leather (black), White Out (white), Stoaked To Be Soaked (orange), Rest In Pieces (the glitter polish with bar glitter) and Let The Beat Drop (pink and orange neon glitter). For the striped nail I used striping tape as guide, but the stripes turned still a bit crooked. The cat I simply freehanded with the polish brush, thin nail art brush and dotting tool. And for the pinky nail I added black rhinestones to get more bling but tried to still stick with the theme.

So, everyone, what do you think about the nails? Let me know in the comments below!

For this month, I have few fun posts planned, and have tried my best to prep them and plan them already. I won't promise a certain schedule, but I try to get something around ten posts up for you. And yes, that will include Halloween costumes. Three of them, if my schedule allows. And maybe a last minute one. But the main thing is that I'm happy to be blogging. I'm finally in a place to start doing that again and also I'm very inspired about the Fall and Halloween season. I'll see you very soon in the next Halloween post.

Have a wonderful week! ♥
