Geometric Nails

Today's post is about nails again. If you haven't noticed, I've been very inspired to do different kinds if manicures lately, and I've thought that documenting them here would be fun for you as well. So those will keep on coming later on as well. But, if you're not into nail art, don't worry, the next two posts will be outfit ones! I'm so happy I've gotten more into the style side of this blog this year, I've missed it a lot but when my life was in a turning point a couple of years ago, I really didn't feel like outfit shoots other than taking a quick one for Instagram and it took a while to get back to being me. And currently, I feel more like me than in quite a while. Which is nice.

Anyway, that's something I might touch on in some later post, but now, let's get to the nails:

pink and blue nails

I don't know if I've ever addressed this but I kind of hate working with striping tape when I do manicures. I tend to lose my patience with it, and I can't stand if it doesn't stick properly and I have to go back and make everything neater with a brush. But that's why I try to do it from time to time, so that maybe I would get the "heureka" moment and figure out the best techniques with it. Because constant learning is fun.

With these, I think I did an okay job at creating a geometric and somewhat cool design. I looked through some festival nails for inspiration, and while I'm not into the whole Coachella thing going on this time of the year, I must admit the outfits, the nails and the hair can be so inspiring! Which is kind of where these nails came from. I thought the faint glitter layers peeking through the design looks really cute, and I swear it looks better in the daylight - and I will get better pics once I go and invest in a flash for the camera.

The polishes I used for this design are called Señora Flora, Hydrangea Dangea, WildFlower Hour and Better Than Nectar - all from the China Glaze spring collection The Arrangement which I talk about more in this post (click!). The rhinestones, studs and striping tape are all from Born Pretty Store and the base coat and top coat I usually always use are the Glisten & Glow ones.

What do you think about these nails? Let me know in the comments!

That's all I have for you today, but like I said, the next couple of posts will be style centered. I will do two more articles to the Thrifting the Trends series - and sneak peeks will be on my Instagram (@silvertigo) as I do post my daily outfits there. And you know, more things as well as many of my makeup looks. I'll see you in the next post!

Have a wonderful day
