Fun weekend and new banner.

Not much to tell today, I had a nice weekend and finally got a new banner.

A friend got my sketch tablet to work, yay! And the embarrising part is: it was not working because I'd forgot to remove some of the plastics around the batteries... Well, that's me, the blondie.

But anyway, we had a fun weekend with friends, saw the new Transformers movie (what a load of shit, pardon my french, but it totally was made for the sake of 3D effects only), went to amusement park, and hung out. Relaxing, I might say.

Since I have no clue what to say next, I'll add some cute/funny animal videos. Not that they'll compensate completely my lack of words, but just so that I get a somewhat decent post. :D

A couple of awwwfully cute cats <3 (see the word play there?)

The third one is from YouTube user lowdope, who happens to have probably one of the best cat video channels of the site. I highly recommend to check them out if you like animals. ;)

Then something from the dogs too :')

Here you go, and I think next post will be more true to this blog and center around style and fashion. This was just me wanting to blabber and just post something. Sorry. But now, it's time to watch a little TV and then sleep. (So that I'll be relaxed to colour my hair if I still feel like it in the morning. Plus, I'll have to make an appointment to a hairdresser, I simply have no shape whatsoever in my hair...)

But I really must go now, so blog ya later.

The end of an era...

So, we went to see the last Harry Potter movie yesterday. It felt weird to think that there would be no more of those movies. I grew up reading the books and watching the movies, and now that it's all finished, it kinda feels empty. (I still don't agree with how J.K. Rowling ended the series - meaning the epilogue - but I liked the way it was made in the movie.)

And now I'm waiting the dvd. :D

After that I really don't know what to get hyped about next... Probably I'll just let my Gossip Girl addiction grow bigger.

Or is that too crazy?

Anyway, here's something I made last Friday:

It's an artwork made out of origami butterflies. And the borders are from IKEA, of course. Today we'll - again - go to IKEA and I'll buy loads of stuff for organizing my clothes (both in wardrobe and in the storage) and also for putting all the shoes in the house in neat order. :)

That's mainly because I got fed up with everything being so messy all the time. Also, because I want to buy nice new clothes for fall. ;) I actually already bought few headbands (Did I already tell I'm a Gossip Girl fan?), two t-shirts, leather skirt, and a tan jacket. (Not an outdoors jacket, rather one to use inside.) Still I need to hunt down a nice bag (I actually spotted one on sale...) and, naturally, a pair of shoes - preferably boots.

Of course my look won't be complete without make-up, and that's why I'm going to buy one or two new nail polishes, eyeliner, blush, foundation or powder, and maybe a lipgloss. And if I happen to spot some great products for my hair, that'll be awesome.

One thing I need to post here is picture of my new glasses. Not anything too cool, but at the times I'm not wearing contacts, I'm practically blind without glasses. Hence new, trendy glasses. They also make me look smarter, so that's cool. :D

I think that's all for now, so blog ya later!

Cleaning Up My Closet....

So, it's hot day, I'm off from work for the weekend, and I'm free to do anything I please. What do I do?

I start to clean the apartment.

First, I put some laundry to the machine, then emptied all the carbage bins, then put up few paintings (not really painted ones, but still) and then arranged my closet a little bit.

...Well, okay, it's more like I took under 20 pieces of clothing, put them on my new clothing rack.

That's my new baby... <3 Loving it. Also, I bought wooden hangers (for both clothes and boots), kitchen stuff, sheets, recycling bin (with 3 separate bins) and some additional things. And two plants, they were 1€/piece.

Yeah, that's what happens when I "quickly pop to Ikea to get just one thing". My man was very proud of me. Once again.

A few days ago I heard I got the student place I was wishing for, so for that, I treated myself with a computer sketch board from Trust. It was supposed to be easy-to-install, but apparently I messed it up somehow... So, I'm hoping a friend of my boyfriend would fix it for me (so that I could better create my own look for this blog).

Then, since I want to bring my style into this more....

I'm gonna show you my working shoes.

First, the story: I hated Crocs when they came to market. Literally hated. I thought (and still do) that they're ugly and that nothing made out of that kind of plastic is a real shoe. I was so sure that I'd NEVER by a pair myself.

But, some things you just can't resist....

Oh yes, the Hello Kitty Crocs. Too cute and childish for me to resist. I adore them.

Authentic product as you can see...

The other shoe has this cutest HK print (the other shoe only has flowers) and as you can see, I've added some jibbitz - Hello Kitty of course - to them. That's a cycling Kitty.

And some bling, something my boyfriend chose for me. ;) He's actually bought every jibbitz I have, somehow he thinnks it's overly cute when I wear these... (Should I be concerned?)

Kitty picking apples, cute, cute, cute...

My zodiac sign, Gemini.

And then Virgo. (Didn't notice that when buying, just thought it was sweet.)

And yes, they are authentic Crocs, not some cheap copy. (If I must buy something this silly, it's better be the real thing!)

So, now that I've posted a huge amount of pictures about the probably most childish clothing item I've got, it's probably good to stop and continue with the cleaning.... I'll post a picture of my cleaned closet (and maybe some others of my home) when I got everything in order.

Blog ya later,

My Barbie/ballét dancer/fairy Dress

Hello Darlings,

My first real post after the long, long, long break. And guess what? I'm going to show you a dress designed, sewn, and worn by me. (Unlucky for all of us, I'm not my most photogenic self - should there be such - when posing in the dress.)

The inspiration for the dress came from Gossip Girl's season 2. There's an episode where Blair Waldorf's mother, Eleanor, attends to fashion week with her clothing line. Through somewhat complicated twists, the final dress of the show isn't Eleanor's, but actually Jenny Humphrey's. (Which is kinda chaotic, as you can imagine.) Anyway, my dress was inspired by Jenny's dress.

For those who wonder, that's the dress from the show. Made by professionals, worn by a beautiful, beautiful star. (I happen to be neither.) My version doesn't look like that... :D But it was perfectly good enough to wear in my friends graduation party. Note: the shoes I have in the pic are NOT the shoes I really wore with that dress... I'll edit if I get better shots later. ;)

Er... Don't ask about that lazy cabaret-wannabe-foot-movement... I really can't explain. Seriously. That's an awful picture of the dress, but at the same time the only one it shows fully without my face being totally weird. (But that's not a great picture of me either, though I'm not any Blake Lively. Not by far. :'D) And again: my dress is not suppose to look like the dress above, it just inspired me. :)

My friend Amida will probably kill me after this, but since this will eventually go to facebook...

This time, nothing hand-made, just an outfit I put up in five minutes when the one I planned for didn't quite work. (Yes, I'm the weird one on the right. Damn I'm short.) We were going to amusement park, and I can tell you, that skirt was maybe not the brightest idea to wear there. Plus what can I say myself about the photo is that my posture there stinks badly! Well, what the hell. Next time, I'll pose better. Maybe I'll have more photos to share later today, it's beautiful sunny day and I have lots of plans with my boyfriend. ;)

(I'll put up his picture too, if he lets me...)

But, bye for a while...
