Hello lovelies!
Happy Monday ♥
I hop you've all had a great start for your week - I have been just chilling today except for the work shift which was quite an exercise, I gotta say. Tomorrow however, I need to be more active, get up early and go for a run. You know, just so I get back on track with this week's training.
As for the blogging, today I really wanted to show you these two nail designs I did a while ago, and for once, they have something in common: chevron print. You know how sometimes when you do a nail design, a nail or two might stay in very nice shape even if the rest would start chipping. And if those remaining nails happen to have a fun pattern or design on them, would be a shame to waste them just because others are slipping away. What's a girl to do? Re-design around them of course!
First up, a girly mix and match mani with mint, lilac and gold. I know it's not a very traditional combo, but I really loved it. Also, this is what happens when I can't decide what to do and do a bit of everything.
This heart shape was painted with the help of some tape (there's tutorials around the web but I can also post one later this month).
The nail polishes I used here were China Glaze Sweet Hook, Highlight Of My Summer and Goldie But Goodie. The matte top coat is from Born Pretty Store, as well as the heart-shaped stud. Other decorations are from a Finnish nail art supply store called Ihanat Kynnet.
And after couple of days, the mani transformed into this:
So I went for pink this time around, keeping the chevron nail there but switching up everything else.
This one isn't as much mix and match as the previous one, and it has more gold to it.
The nail polishes I used for this one were China Glaze Highlight Of My Summer, Spring In My Step and Goldie But Goodie. And once again, my studs are from Born Pretty Store, as well as the matte top coat I used.
So, that's all for this post, I hope you enjoyed this and I hope you would take a moment and let me know what you think about these designs.
Tomorrow, I'll be showing you a small haul from a couple of weeks back, and later this week I will finally post some Easter pics and other fun stuff, so stay tuned for that! Now, this girl needs to go and hit the bed - I need my beauty sleep before the early wake up and workout session.
Have a fabulous day! ♥

I am REALLY digging the matte look on nails lately! So posh and sophisticated, any of these color stories would work but I'm really loving the lavender/mint combo- tres chic!

Thank you. I really love the matte as well because it is a bit different - and having a matte top coat doubles your nail polish collection, as I tend to say ;) ♥

ReplyDeleteHihi, kiitos ihana! Täytyy myöntää että viimeisen viikon oon kylläkin kärsinyt inspiraatiopulasta enkä oo näpräillyt, mutta jospa huomenna taas innostuisi ;) ♥
