Hello lovelies! How are you today? ♥ It's been quite busy for me the past few days, with work, life and so on. I'm quite sad that sometimes postpones my blog posts, but on the other hand I rather cater a bit less posts but try to keep to quality good. I hope you understand. On the brighter note, I've managed to take outfit pictures so I can have normal posting schedule up very soon. I feel like outfit posts are the easiest to write because they have a bit less detail to explain than nail and beauty posts, so they are easy throw out there in a rush too, as long as the pictures are looking good and you remember to tell the origins of the clothes. So yay for having more outfit pics!
But today, however, I have another Valentine's day nail art design for you.
These ones might be one of my favorite nail designs ever. (That I've done myself.) I was creating something that would compliment the foil from Born Pretty Store I used. Like you can see, I did the method where you press the foil on sticky polish and get a nice pattern as a result. I love how it turned out, it kind of looks like marble even though I wasn't trying to do that. I was literally just trying the technique out like a newbie.
For the nails without the foil, I painted the base nude pink and did a little French ombré over them. Then I added black details to match them. I went for hearts and crosses because that's so my jam.
The polishes I used for the mani were China Glaze Crimson and White On White, and Essie Muchi Muchi. Essie is the nude pink base of the French ombré nails, topped with White On White sponged over the tips. Crimson is actually not black, but a deep, dark red (like I've told before in this blog), but it worked very nicely with the foil.
The foil and the black studs are from Born Pretty Store, and the Heart water decals are from Shopkeeki.
These were so fun to wear, and I know I will create something similar again. I just loved these so much. Like the title of this post tells you, this post, too was done together with Born Pretty Store. They were kind enough to send the foil for me to review, and below, you can see what it looks like:
The foil I was using for the mani is Holographic Nail Foil in design #160. It is super holographic and it has this lovely irregular geometric pattern to it. I suppose you could do a ton of different things with this, and I will definitely be trying different techniques out later this spring. This is quite similar product to the other nail foil I reviewed here, but of course the design is different.
This too is easy to use and handle, and for the transfer technique this works very well. I was trying the technique for the first time, and I managed to create something quite cool - so pretty much everyone can do it. And seriously, can we just take a moment to appreciate how pretty the foil is? Thank you. The picture doesn't do enough justice to the holographic effect, it's stronger in real life. This costs $1.99 like the other one I reviewed before. If this, or any other items catch your eye on the Born Pretty Store website, use the code JOHH10 to get 10% off your purchase.
What do you think about these nails? Let me know in the comments below!
If these or the previous ones weren't enough inspiration for you yet, don't worry. There will be two more Valentine's inspired designs up before Sunday (the Valentine's Day), so maybe they are more you. Also remember to follow me on Instagram, where I post stuff daily! I love you guys so much, thank you for being here and reading my musings!
Have a lovely week ♥
