Couple of weeks ago, I attended a concert, and I wanted to wear something rock chic as far as my makeup goes. So, I tried to somewhat recreate Elize Ryd's makeup from Amaranthe's music video "Maximize" (as it has been constantly playing in my head lately). Which is a bomb song, and if you haven't heard it, you should do it below:
Like you can see, her makeup is a bold black and red eyeshadow with glitter, combined with glitter lip.

My version was more like an everyday version of the look, without as much vibrance and darkness, and I also left out the glitter because I don't own a makeup grade one at all.
However I did like the black and red gradient although it could have been more bold one. But one day I might try the full on version. I created the look using a couple of Makeup Revolution palettes, NYX Cosmetics & Lumene for the face and Kiss Me lippie.
The lipstick shade I chose is called Poison Apple, and I thought it looked really nice with this look. Also, the lashes are from xoBeauty, and they are the style "The Soulmate", which is one of my favorites from them.
The makeup would've probably looked a bit more impressive if I had shot it in the daylight, but to be honest I had no time for that. I barely had the time to make it look even this good. But what feels good is that I'm getting back into makeup posts, which are something I personally enjoy doing. Not that I'm amazing with makeup - because I'm not - but I feel like if I can create a look, anyone else can as well.
Bonus: My outfit of the night (via Instagram)
I enjoyed wearing this rock chic outfit containing little black dress, over knee boots and edgy harness. I felt so good in this look that I mught recreate it with a slightly bolder version of the makeup later on this year. Let me know if you'd like to see that as well.
Have you listened to Amaranthe before? Let me know in the comments!
That's all for today's post, I really hope I get you to like Amaranthe's music as well, since they are my favorite right alongside Linkin Park. I could go on and on about how much I love their music - and might do more posts related to them since I'm kind of hyped of them making a new album at the moment. If you'd like to see more of my style posts, I recommend following me on Instagram (or at least on Facebook or Twitter), where I post daily outfits and more. I'll see you all in my next post!
Have a lovely week babes ♥
