Trying Victoria's Secret Models Inspired Diet - The Results

I know I promised this post to be up so much earlier. I'm sorry about the delay, but let's make this more useful one since it's late, okay?

This diet/exercise regime has actually brought a lot of good into my life. And that's what I will be talking about today. I'm hoping this post will inspire you to do a better life choice today, no matter what that will be and how small one it will be. And it doesn't have to be about weight at all.

So, in the initial post I was showing you the kind of diet I would be eating. That has kept in the sense that I have stayed in a somewhat regular eating schedule - especially on the weekdays, but I can admit I don't really eat exactly like a model would. I do some days count calories, but mostly to realize how much is in a certain kind of portion. I don't eat too much added sugar on the weeks, and have cut the sugars down from the weekends as well. This has made me to get out of my sugar addiction, and while I do avoid sugar, that doesn't mean I won't ever eat an occasional candy or two. As for dairy and animal products, I've cut down a bit of them as well, even though you couldn't still call this diet vegan or even vegetarian. So long story short, I try to be more mindful of what I put into my body, but refuse to stress about it.

Instead of being very strict and obsessed about the diet, I have focused on the things that support metabolism, like getting enough sleep, exercising regularly and drinking way more water and some green tea. All of which have felt good and probably have contributed to the small changes I've seen in my body already.

What did the diet do?

So, my weight hasn't really come down that much, but since that's not really a big issue, I'm not that bothered by it. I didn't, foolishly, take my measurements before starting this so I can't track the smallest changes, but I kind of felt like that could take this to an unhealthy place, taken how upset I was with my body at the point of starting this. While I don't know about any measurement changes, as of now, I do know my waist/stomach area feels a little slimmer and my butt rounder, both of which are results I was really wanting, and hope to continue bettering even more. I also have felt more confident and energetic, which is also a result of regular and healthy schedule.

fitness progress

My workout routine for one and a half month now has been this one (click!) that I found on Pinterest. I don't realistically have the time to go through the whole thing every day I want to work out, but I either choose at least three parts I go through or do a move or two from every category, so that I do at least something every single day. I might do a bit stricter workout routine for the Holiday week next week, like from Sunday to Thursday, where I try to run through the whole exercise every day for a week. Or you know, five days, and maybe I could even document how that feels and if that has any other effect than making my body ache like hell. I need to also add running to this routine as soon as possible, I've been lacking on that even though I have been embracing walking and other little things.

If there are fitness enthusiasts out there thinking this routine is not what it should be and I'm not even building muscle, listen, that's not what I desire. I want a slimmer figure, not bulkier one. I had a colleague recommending me a trainer whose teachings I should go through - and I will more thoroughly later on, but so far I only found things that would help me become buff, which is not what I want at all. But I can admit there might be things that would help my progress as well if I dig deep enough, I just didn't have the time for it yet.

What are my thoughts about the diet and exercise as of now? You may have gathered from this post already that I have been enjoying how I feel and look so far, and that does encourage me to continue this routine in some form. I can do an update or few in the future, when I have more results showing or I find a way this works for me even better. I want to keep you guys in the loop in case I can help or inspire any of you. This week, I've had the chance to try how my body feels about omelette as a breakfast, and to be honest, at least on holidays and weekends I could get used to that. On regular workdays, I rather have a smoothie ready to be consumed even in five minutes if necessary, I don't have the patience to really get up any earlier than I do now just to make food.

I will try to continue with the healthier diet and exercise the best that I can as I think having a routine there does good for me. My body enjoys regular eating and more nutritious food, and the workout routine makes me feel stronger and more energetic. So I'll carry on with what I'm doing, and will update you next month on how I'm doing with it.

Have you been having an exercise routine lately? Let me know in the comments!

That's it for today, but I'll be back as soon as tomorrow with another post. That one will hopefully inspire those of you who have festivals in you agenda this summer. So stay tuned for that and follow me on Instagram for daily updates! I'm @silvertigo, in case we're not yet friends there. I'll see you in the next post.

Have a wonderful day ♥
