Trying Victoria's Secret Models Inspired Diet - The Results

I know I promised this post to be up so much earlier. I'm sorry about the delay, but let's make this more useful one since it's late, okay?

This diet/exercise regime has actually brought a lot of good into my life. And that's what I will be talking about today. I'm hoping this post will inspire you to do a better life choice today, no matter what that will be and how small one it will be. And it doesn't have to be about weight at all.

Trying Victoria's Secret Models Inspired Diet For 2 Weeks - The Start

Lately it seems there has been a bit of a wave of "I tried ___ diet for a week" type of videos on YouTube, especially from Blair Walnuts. And that inspired me to try out a diet that is inspired by the kind of one Victoria's Secret models claim they follow. I gave myself an easier time with the dinners, because we eat the same food as dinner with my boyfriend and it doesn't make sense sustainably that we cook different meals just because of the challenge. But my breakfast, lunch and snacks were determined by the VS meal plans I managed to find on the Internet.

Foodie Post: Rice Milk and The Best Chai Latte (+ why I stopped drinking dairy milk)

Hello lovelies! How are you today? ♥ Today was the last day of work before leaving for the trip, and I can't believe it's almost time to step on the plane to Canada. It's unbelievable. I've nearly packed everything, I just need to get some bits and pieces packed tomorrow (hygiene products and so on) and I'm completely ready to go. I've prepped my cameras, my cell phone, the laptop, everything so that I can get up and blogging starting on Sunday. It will be a ton of fun to document the trip, and I hope I get some bit of editing done in the evenings so that I can start posting content from the trip very soon after we get back.

Today, I will talk you a bit about one of my current favorite drinks, which is rice milk.

Current Workout Routine

Hello lovelies! How are you all? ♥ I've had a pretty chill day today, had couple of hours school and then ran some errands, had a little workout and the rest has been chilling and enjoying the day off. It's a cloudy day, so I actually have the patience to sit down and write down this post for you. As you may know if you follow me on Instagram, I have been kicking my butt with exercising quite a bit lately. And because of that, I figured I would share my workout/healthy lifestyle routine with you all.

Hope you'll enjoy this!

Oh, and because this is internet: I'm not a professional in any of the topics mentioned in this post in any shape or form, so don't take my word over any of the educated professionals out there. Let's respect their work that much. That being said, I do believe in this routine and it works for me. So if it inspires you, that's awesome.

Guest Post: 5 Healthy Snack Ideas

5 Healthy Snack Ideas

Obesity has become a pretty big issue in the last couple of years. The problem is people want to lose weight without having to quit eating delicious and scrumptious food that tackles their food cravings. But what if that’s actually possible? Here’s a list of healthy snacks that will provide your body with the essential nutrients it needs without giving you extra pounds to carry.

  1. Infused water

Health benefits of water are almost as well known as the miracles it does to your skin. If you’re like most people that don’t like the taste of water and have a hard time drinking it then fruit infused water is a great way to incorporate it in your diet. It’ll also help make sure that you drink enough water throughout the day. There are plenty of ways you can make infused water. All you need is some fruit. You can take lime, mint leaves, cucumbers, watermelons, raspberries etc. basically just any fruit that you love and add that to some chilled ice water, stir it and let it sit in the fridge overnight so it can absorb the flavors. Remember to refill the jug when you leave for work or school to enjoy a whole pitcher of refreshing and delicious infused water later.

  1. Pita pocket
Get some whole grain pita pockets from your nearest grocery store and add cream cheese on one side. Then go ahead and add some tomatoes, cucumbers, turkey and baby spinach. For the side dish you can put some hummus and baby carrots. Good thing about this snack is that you can take it to school or work if you want to.

  1. Strawberry feta and walnut salad

Benefits of spinach are very well known. It’s packed with vitamins, nutrients and minerals that are essential for a healthy body. Whereas strawberries are as famous for maintaining a balanced heart health as they are for their taste.     For this recipe add some spinach in a bowl, dice a couple of strawberries and toss them onto the salad. Then add some fat free feta cheese and walnuts on top of it. To make your salad dressing takes some olive oil, balsamic vinegar and some salt. Drizzle the dressing on top of the salad and you’re done.

  1. Peanut butter chocolate banana smoothie

Add two bananas, dark chocolate peanut butter, milk and some ice in a blender and just blend the ingredients nicely. Once you’re done pour it in a glass. This is an easy and healthy breakfast idea for times when you’re running late for work or school.

  1. Guacamole

For this recipe take some avocados, put them in a bowl and squeeze them out. Put some Greek yogurt, jalapenos, onions, cilantro, salt, crumbled feta cheese and squeeze out two limes in the concoction. The vegetables keep this recipe balanced whereas the Greek yogurt and feta cheese makes it scrumptious.

Super Easy Banana Pancakes ♥

Hey guys!

How are you all today? ♥

I've been enjoying the beautiful weather today, and it actually inspired me to make some healthyish brunch for myself while my fiance was still sleeping. As the recipe was super easy and the results delicious, I thought I'd share it with you.

Banana Pancakes

1 big serving
1 banana
2 eggs
4 tablespoons granola (optional)

 photo DSC06819Large.jpg

Put the banana and the eggs into a blender, or in a proper cup to use some kind of other mixer.

Mix them thoroughly.

Add in granola if you wish, and mix with a spoon.

Take out a frying pan, and heat up a little oil on it. Test out the temperature with a small amount of dough before really starting to cook the pancakes. Once the little piece cooks nicely, you can start cooking the real ones. This way, they don't just end up super oily, yet uncooked.

Make sure the temperature is set on medium or low when you cook the pancakes, so that they won't burn. Also make sure they still cook, and don't just sit on the oil. Cook them on both sides until they're golden brown or so. This takes a bit of patience, but don't rush it so that you don't burn them.

Serve them right away with the desired toppings ♥ I had blueberries, small amount of light syrup and whipped cream. And I added a little powdered sugar for decoration, but you don't really need that in my opinion, unless you like yours super sweet.

I really liked this recipe as it was so, so easy and because it fits to many different diets as it doesn't include milk, gluten or added sugar (before the toppings). The granola I used was totally gluten-free and it had some dried blueberries in it, so basically you can do many, many different pancakes with this recipe. It is so easy to alter, and the amounts are easy to double or so, so if you wanna make these for the whole family, that goes very nicely too.

I will try to write another post later today, but until then...

Have a fabulous day! ♥
