(Water)Fall Nail Art

Happy Monday my lovelies! I know there are many of you that absolutely loathe Mondays, but I'm that freak who flourish on Mondays. I feel each given Monday is a chance to have a better week than it was before, do better than one did previous week, and to simply have a tiny new start. I know it might be nauseatingly optimistic but that's my mindset. But to be perfectly honest, I personally hate Tuesdays. They mostly don't bring good things my way in general and they are the day things go wrong if they're ever going to. Not that even that would stop me from reaching my dreams.

Today, I'm sharing a manicure I felt, and still feel a little conflicted about. I could've done it better, it could've looked cuter, but then again I also got compliments for it so it's probably not as bad as my personal judgement makes it out to be. But, without further ado, let's get into the nail art:

fall nail art

Like the title suggests, this style of nail art is called waterfall nails. The name, if I remember  correctly, comes from the design resembling water flowing down the waterfall - which is pretty self-explanatory. I chose to do the look with autumn colors to give you inspiration for the season, but you could do this with any colors you please.

One thing I feel takes the waterfall to the next level is glitter. So if you feel like your waterfall doesn't look as good as you'd like, try adding a few glitter stripes to it. If you are unsure about the technique (it's just as simple as adding stripes on top of the base color, but still), search waterfall nails on YouTube and you'll find many awesome videos to help you out.

The polishes I used for these nails were base coat, top coat and Great Balancing Act by Glisten & Glow, and Mustard The Courage, Ernie Your Stripes, Beak On Fleek, Home Sweet House Music, Stoked To Be Soaked, Flame-Boyant, Ruby Pumps and Big Hair And Bubbly by China Glaze. The only tool I used was a thin nail art brush. So all you need as well is bunch of colors and a thin brush. (The polishes were also featured in the Fall Favorites post!)

What do you think about these nails? Let me know in the comments!

That's it for today, but I'll be back soon with another style post. I love that I've been getting more into them lately, because love for style was the reason I started blogging properly. I lost the sight of that for a moment, but now that I've been getting back into the things I love in order to be more than just an average pretty face, styling looks and sharing them will definitely take more stage. If you can't wait until the next post for style content, head onto my Instagram (@silvertigo) for daily looks and more. I'll see you in my next post!

Have a wonderful day
