How are you all?
I'm currently battling a stomach flu (so cool, huh?), but I thought it would cheer me up to write you about one of my favorite things. Nail polish.
Not too long ago, I saw a huge polish haul by Sam in PackAPunchPolish, in the video she told she had got this insane pile of China Glaze polishes from a place called Head2Toe Beauty. As a nail polish junkie that I am, I naturally had to check the place out myself. I was pleasantly surprised how affordable the polishes are, even after the added P&P fees! So, I placed an order, and waited.
After a week or so, the mailman rang my doorbell, and handed me a box. In the box, in the middle of loads of packing material, were my 9 brand new Chine Glaze polishes.
As you can see, I was very into neons while placing the order. I have been playing with nearly all of them after this, and can't wait to figure out more designs with these beauties.
Now, wanna see them individually? Here goes:
Glitz'n Pieces
Glitter polish with black and silver glitter in it. Perfect for jelly sammich manicures, but also fabulous for topping off simple manicures. This polish is from Glitz'n Pieces collection.
It looks like this in a swatch stick. Still not sure how I'm gonna use this, but I'll figure it out.
Razzle Me Dazzle Me
Similar as Glitz'n Pieces, but a bit warmer shade, as the glitters are pinkish/copper instead of silver. This one, also from Glitz'n Pieces collection.
As you can see, no huge difference in between the swatches.
Sun-Kissed
A super bright neon yellow, that has a cute shimmer to it. This one is quite sheer, and like usually with neons, it requires a coat of white polish underneath to get its true brightness to come up. I'm very fond of this color, and I'm sure you're going to see this one in my summer manicures.
Swatch. Not that it shows the true brightness, but it's very close. This one is from Summer Neons 2012 collection.
I'm With The Lifeguard
Another one from the Summer Neons collection. This is a beautiful neon green polish with a metallic shimmer to it, and which will totally look cool with tanned skin. ;) We'll see what I'll do with this.
See the shimmer here? Absolutely gorgeous!
In The Lime Light
This baby is part of the Wow Factor collection. It's little less shimmery than I'm With The Lifeguard, and quite a bit colder tone. This one is pretty sheer on its own, but I can't wait to test drive it over a white base, I'm sure it'll be fabulous!
See? Very different from the first green. I need to do a half-and-half manicure with the two to properly show you the difference. ;)
Splish Splash
Another one from the Summer Neons collection - though not so neon in my opinion, but a fabulous bright blue anyways. This one, too, is very shimmery, and I think that's a nice quality in a nail polish.
See how bright it is? I'm sure this one will make it into many fabulous manicures!
Escaping Reality
The most beautiful neon pink polish I've come across so far. This beauty comes from the Cirque du Soleil collection, and I think it's a must-have for any neon-loving polish addict out there. I've used this in two manicures so far, and I've loved it completely in both. Requires white polish underneath!
Did someone say Barbie? ;)
Flip Flop Fantasy
This one is way more neon than the pictures show, I promise to get better pictures once I get some tan on my hands. ;) This one is part of the Poolside collection, which, like Summer Neons, is full of these amazing summer colors that make you so happy just looking at them.
Daylight shot of the swatch - still not showing the true brightness of the polish. I'll get it on film some day :D
Surfin' For Boys
This one looks so much more orange in the photos than it actually is... Another one from the Summer Neons collection, a bright, fun coral neon polish with a beautiful shimmer to it. Very gorgeous shade I will surely use, no matter what season it is. This one is such a classic for me. ;)
A little bit better pic of the shade. Though, like with the other neons, I will have to swatch it with the white base to get a perfect photo.
Buying from Head2Toe was a great experience for me as a customer, and I will surely buy from there again. every bottle was completely whole when they got to me, and the delivery was very fast. And to top it off, the prices are so affordable! So, if you're like me, and love CG polishes, do check out their shop and see if there's anything for you. :)
And even though I only cover China Glaze polishes here, they sell many other polish brands, as well as various beauty products, so there probably is something for anyone - just make sure your home country's customs allow importing the things, and check out the possible fees before ordering, to avoid huge additional costs. ;)
