Foodie Post: Gluten Free Pumpkin Spice Donuts

Hey lovelies! I hope you're doing well today. I've been a little MIA a couple of days because my cousin's fiance is living with us for a little while and I needed to adjust to that a bit - meaning cleaning the place, making a good space for him to be in, and stocking our kitchen with food. As well as doing some school work yesterday. I will be more active soon though, and today, I'm sharing my favorite gluten free donuts (and how to make them) in this post.

Pumpkin Spice Donuts (Gluten free)

1 3/4 cups gluten free flour
1 3/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp ginger

1 1/2 cups canned pumpkin, or any 100% pumpkin puree
1 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
 3 large eggs
1/2 cup canola oil
1 tsp vanilla extract

Mix the first group of ingredients in a bowl. Take another bowl, and mix (and whisk) the others together in that. Combine the two mixtures, and put the dough into a donut pan - or make your owl out of tin foil like I did. Bake at 425 degrees F for 7 minutes or until golden brown (218 degrees Celsius).

Decorate as you wish, roll them in sugar, make an icing out of water and powdered sugar, use gluten free sprinkles... do anything you like. I had powdered sugar, little cinnamon and some water to dip these in, and then sprinkled some decorations on top.

This recipe was found on SoCraftastic channel on YouTube, and I seriously recommend you to try this. I will try to figure out a Christmas version of this, and if I do, I will post it. These tasted superb as gluten free ones, so I'm sure these are good either way. These are probably also quite easy to make vegan as long as you replace the eggs.

Have any of you tried these out? Let me know in the comments!

That's all for this post, and I will be back soon with another. I hope you enjoyed reading this little one, and if you have any wishes or suggestions for the posts, let me know them in the comments. When waiting for the next post, make sure to follow my social media accounts for more updates (especially Instagram). In the next post, I will have some exciting cosmetics stuff, so stay tuned for that.

Have a fantastic week ♥

  2. It looks delicious though I am not a big fan of donuts...but I never tried one with pumpkin, so it is tempting to try this recipe!

    1. The pumpkin makes the dough more healthy (I think, even with all the sugar) and so moist. I love it. These also handle freezer and reheating well, and don't get all dry. :) ♥ And they definitely don't taste like donuts, but more like a gingerbread. Like my hubby said. :D
