Can you believe we're already halfway through Blogoween? Me neither! It seems like it was just July and I started planning for all of these and now we're halfway done with the posts. Time really flies.
Anyway, today I'm sharing another cute DIY that will bring some Halloween spirit in your home without being too overboard or spooky. And it will compliment minimalistic home decor if that's your style!
This garland was actually the first DIY I did and shot for this year's Blogoween. I figured if I start with the more simple ones and be done with them, it won't feel so overwhelming and also, when I had something ready, I was in my mind forced to finish the other ones as well in a timely matter instead of procrastinating (which I'm too good at).
For the garland, you'll need:
Crafting paper (I chose ones with nice patterns but feel free to pick whatever you fancy)
Ruler (it's way easier to do even triangles with it)
Glue
Yarn (I used paper yarn again but go for anything you like)
Scissors
Start up by folding the paper half, and parting it in three (in case you are using the regular A4 size, otherwise you can pick the amount yourself) with pencil and then creating a triangle in each part so that the wide bottom of the triangles are where the fold is (so we're basically making folded diamond shapes - refer the pic below to understand if my directions are unclear!). Cut out the triangles.
Plan how far apart of each other you want to place the triangles, and start attaching them. Add glue inside of the triangle/diamond shape. Place the yarn into the fold of the shape, and glue the whole thing down. (Don't use as much glue as I did, it's too much and made the paper curl up!) Glue the rest of the triangles to the string, let it try - and you're ready to hang it up!
What do you think about this DIY? Let me know in the comments below!
This little craft is all I have for you today, I hope you enjoyed this and will maybe even try it out some day. I'll be back with another post tomorrow, and it'll be another costume… Are you ready for it? If you want to know when I post new content, I recommend following me on social media (Instagram/Twitter/Facebook) as I do announce published posts on each platform!
Have a lovely day ♥
