Today it's time to continue the Thrifting the Trends series. If you're new here, this is the series where I take trends of this spring/summer predicted in the posts here and here and incorporating them into my style by thrifting, DIYing or using things I already have in my closet. The goal of this series is to show you don't always need to buy new things to be on trend and wear what's hot right now.
And, as I always say, it's better to think style over fashion. You can have an amazing style without following trends and fashion, but trends and fashion never promise to make you look stylish. That being said, I have fun emulating the trends into my looks although that's probably not what I will do too much unless rock chic and/or metal style comes in fashion.
So here's the look, it may not be my best ever one, but to be true I am more jeans and tee girl than blazer suit girl. Most of you know that. But for the sake of this post, I combined "dressy" pants and a blazer together. This might be the first and last time you see these two combined on me because I don't think this is enough my style, but it sure was fun for one day. Also my point was to show you don't necessarily don't have to get a set to have the suit effect, it's enough to have two pieces that at least have matching color in both.
To be honest with you, the accessories in this pic give me early 2000s Avril Lavigne vibes. And I'm kind of living for it.

This shade of blue is something I've learned to love on the job I currently have. Blue is the color of our company, so I've been representing us in events in blue, and one day I figured it is actually a nice color for me. And so, it sneaks into my closet ever so often. A bright, royal blue is a stunning statement color so I'm very happy I've found it!
And speaking of blue, who else is stoked about the upcoming Jeffree Star palette? I will be getting it for sure because it looks like a match with Alien palette and it also is beautiful on its own. So if you care to hear about that, I will most likely be posting about it in the next few weeks after it's been released.
What do you think about this look? Let me know in the comments!
That's all for today, tomorrow I'll be sharing my Spring capsule wardrobe with you, and I must say I'm very proud and inspired about it at the moment. Hopefully, that means we'll see cool looks created by me on Instagram (which is @jolagerroos, go stalk and follow!) during the springtime. The coming week, I should also have a lookbook, a couple of nail posts and a lash review up for you - even more things if I get inspired - so stay tuned for that! I'll see you in my next post!
Have a wonderful day ♥
Oon itsekin pidempään haaveillut vastaavista pöksyistä seurattuani etenkin @foxxtails -nimistä tiliä Instassa, kyseistä tiliä pitävä Jess on vaatetyyliltään aivan mieletön! :)
