Thrifting The Trends - Lace

Hello March. The month I'm going to not be eating meat or chicken. I'm hoping that would give a boost towards my summer body, not necessarily by losing weight but certainly by making me feel lighter, even less bloated and all that jazz. More on that once we get more into this month, as currently it's only been two days.

Anyway, today's post is another installment to the Thrifting The Trends series. If you're new here, this is a series where I take trends and colors from a Vogue article here and Pantone color trend report here and create outfits based on them by thrifting, using my existing clothes and DIYing. The goal is to show that everyone can wear the trends in normal life, it just takes adjusting the things you see on the catwalks into your own wardrobe. And it is actually much easier than one would think.

I promise.

In today's post, we're taking on the lace trend. Which I feel becomes trendy every spring but also I love the look of it nevertheless so this was automatically on my list. To be fair, I don't own too many lace items due to the perfect ones being hard to find, but I chose two for this outfit and paired them with other things so that it wouldn't be too overboard.

I'm lacking the usual detail pic of the rings because they simply failed. But you can check out other recent posts to see them because I have been rocking the same ones a lot recently. I liked the contrast of the girly lace tops and the bit more masculine bottoms here, just like I usually prefer looks that have something contrasting in them. Yes, this look is a bit chilly to wear outside in Finland at the moment, but I bundled up while walking the small distances out so that I wouldn't get cold. Can't wait for the weather to get warm enough to actually rock looks like this in the parks and all.

What do you think about this lace look? Let me know in the comments!

That's it for today's post, and I'll be back with another one very soon. I just edited pictures for four upcoming posts and I can't wait to share them with you in the near future! But for now, I'll go enjoy my weekend (and maybe some wine, haha), some of which you can spot if you follow my Instagram @jolagerroos. I'll see you in my next post!

Have a lovely weekend ♥
