Hey, my loves,
I'm back sooner than I thought - with a short and sweet post. I'm not sure how much I've ever talked about this here in the blog, but as a kid, and a teen, I used to be very into reading. I read so many books, and countless fanfics, and even wrote a couple of silly fics, and novellas and dreamed about either being an author or a book translator. Life had other plans, and while I could write a book if I just put my mind to it, I'm fairly certain the writing and publishing route won't be mine in this life.
That being said, my love for books never died. I had many years' break from reading when I was more lost with what I wanted and who I wanted to be, but in 2023 I found my way back to it. Thanks to the internet raving about ACOTAR, I too decided to check what the fuss was about - and I got hooked. I devoured the whole ACOTAR series, found some that social media described as being "Slytherin-vibed", and remembered exactly why I had always loved reading. (And maybe mentally kicked myself for losing sight of that along the way.)

In today's post, I really just wanted to chit-chat a bit about reading. And more specifically, share some of my TBR (To Be Read) list with you! I already told you I aim to read 25 books in 2025 in the previous post, and I know that at least some of those will be books I'm listing in this post.
I already finished my first book of the year, "Blood and Ash" by Jennifer L. Armentrout, and while it didn't rock my world, it was pretty entertaining and I'm intrigued enough to pick up the sequel later on. I also am 1/4 way through "The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo" by Taylor Jenkins Reid, and that one I like so much so far. I think I may need to read more from Taylor Jenkins Reid because I also loved Daisy Jones and the Six pretty much.
Now, onto the books residing on my TBR right now. These are not in any particular order, but reading through these (and the two mentioned above) would land me on 25 books (not counting audiobooks, but only because I mainly just listen to the Harry Potter saga over and over again so it would feel like cheating to add them - otherwise I think audiobooks would absolutely count towards a reading goal!).
Here's my TBR right now:
- Beyond the Wand, Tom Felton
- The Memoir, Paris Hilton
- The Woman In Me, Britney Spears
- Madly, Deeply: The Diaries of Alan Rickman
- Onyx Storm, Rebecca Yarros
- Bride, Leigh Bardugo
- King of Scars, Leigh Bardugo
- Rule of Wolves, Leigh Bardugo
- Demon In The Wood, Leigh Bardugo
- The Familiar, Leigh Bardugo
- Check & Mate, Ali Hazelwood
- Love On the Brain, Ali Hazelwood
- Metal Slinger, Rachel Schneider
- Quicksilver, Callie Hart
- When the Moon Hatched, Sarah A. Parker
- The Grimrose girls, Laura Pohl
- The Brothers Hawthorne, Jennifer Lynn Barnes
- The Grandest Game, Jennifer Lynn Barnes
- Spark of the Everflame, Penn Cole
- Midnight Sun, Stephenie Meyer
- Life and Death - Twilight Reimagined, Stephenie Meyer
- The Serpent and the Wings of Night, Carissa Broadbent
- A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire, Jennifer L. Armentrout
If you want to stalk what I'm reading - or what kind of books I'm looking to read, and my ratings on them - give my Goodreads account a follow here. If we know each other, you can also hit me up with a friend request there!
I also post everything I read on my Tiktok account, so for little reading update videos you can follow me there - or on Instagram, where the books mostly make random appearances on the Stories when I remember to take a cute pic.
In the comments, please tell me what you are reading right now! I would love to have little book chats with all the other readers here. And of course, if you have recommendations after looking at my list, I'd love to hear them!
