What I Read In February and March

Hey my loves,

I'm painfully behind posting this, but it's better late than never! I had scheduling issues followed by technical issues, hence the post is only coming up now. February was a very good reading month, I got four whole books read, which means I got really ahead of my goal. March (and April) have been slower, but I've still gotten a couple of books read in both months. I'm trying to keep the reviews short and sweet, and most importantly, spoiler-free.

Without further ado, let's get into the books:

What I Read In January

 Hey, my lovelies,

I hope you've had a lovely January! Mine has been quite lovely, getting to hang out with friends, trying new foods (especially vegan ones thanks to a friend of mine), going to see the Gothic Modern exhibition at Ateneum, reviving this blog... All in all this feels like a nice way to start the year. And yet it's been slow enough since it's still the slumber season if you're living the more pagan/witchy lifestyle, as I'm trying to at least to some extent.

This time of the year is so good for just staying home and cozying up in a blanket and just reading. (My dear friends, if I disappear for hours or days and don't answer your messages immediately, this is more often than not why. I'm lost in a book.) And because I've been doing that quite a bit, today I wanted to share what I've read this month:

What's On My TBR List Right Now?

Hey, my loves,

I'm back sooner than I thought - with a short and sweet post. I'm not sure how much I've ever talked about this here in the blog, but as a kid, and a teen, I used to be very into reading. I read so many books, and countless fanfics, and even wrote a couple of silly fics, and novellas and dreamed about either being an author or a book translator. Life had other plans, and while I could write a book if I just put my mind to it, I'm fairly certain the writing and publishing route won't be mine in this life.

That being said, my love for books never died. I had many years' break from reading when I was more lost with what I wanted and who I wanted to be, but in 2023 I found my way back to it. Thanks to the internet raving about ACOTAR, I too decided to check what the fuss was about - and I got hooked. I devoured the whole ACOTAR series, found some that social media described as being "Slytherin-vibed", and remembered exactly why I had always loved reading. (And maybe mentally kicked myself for losing sight of that along the way.)

Book pile

In today's post, I really just wanted to chit-chat a bit about reading. And more specifically, share some of my TBR (To Be Read) list with you! I already told you I aim to read 25 books in 2025 in the previous post, and I know that at least some of those will be books I'm listing in this post.

Hello Lovelies!

How was your weekend? ♥

I have finally gotten better with my flu and so there has been more energy for all the fun things. And, speaking of fun things, I really wanna share with you something I got in the mail on Friday:

Keri Smith Deluxe Boxed Set ♥

For those who don't know, Keri Smith is the author of Wreck This Journal, which is this amazing creative journal that encourages you to do different and even outrageous things to it. Some might even call it a suicidal book, as it begs to be destroyed in different ways and so on. I have wanted one for a long time, but forgot all about it until a month ago, when I saw it on Grav3yardgirl's YouTube channel (check her out here, I love her quirky self ♥). Right after that, I ordered this box - but apparently Bunny had convinced many others to get the same one too, as it took a month to get to me instead of the estimated 7-14 days. Oh well.

The box includes these four books, the infamous Wreck This Journal, it's messier twin Mess, the book called This Is Not A Book, and the adventurous little guy The Pocket Scavenger. I can't wait to get it going with all of these, and I actually already started with my WTJ, from which I have a couple of photos for you below:

Finally mine ♥

I didn't do that many pages yet, as we're having a couple of friends over the next weekend, and some more people after a month or so, and I really wanna get people involved with this - everybody needs their inner child, right? So more of this later on, I think I try to pick out the best ones and/or make simple little collages, so that I won't end up with super long, 60-picture posts. ;)

I know you're supposed to destroy this, but I rather see it as a fun creative project with friends, not so much as a complete destruction. I hope I can keep the book somewhat intact through the mission.

Are you familiar with the concept of Wreck This Journal? Have you tried to destroy one - or will you maybe try after seeing this? Comment below and let me know your thoughts! ♥

Now, I'll go watch some quality TV (The Simpsons) with my fiance, and I hope that tomorrow I will get up another post - as I have some outfit posts hanging in drafts and need to be written and published soon! ♥

Have a fabulous start for your week!

Let's be friends in IG!
