I Want To Be More Sustainable; Where To Start?

As I've seen many people making the New Year's resolution to be more sustainable one way or another - stopping buying fast fashion, going vegan, going cruelty-free etc., it came into my mind that possibly some of you are also considering doing that but maybe don't know where to start. That was the struggle for me as well, and maybe there are some days when it's that for me still, but after gathering at least a bit of knowledge about sustainability in everyday life, I wanted to share my tips on how to get started. I hope these are helpful to at least one person out there, because in that case the post has fulfilled its purpose.

End of the Year Declutter: Clothes

Since starting to look more into sustainable lifestyle and all that this year, I've come across minimalism. Most of you probably know what it is; having only the stuff you need and love instead of having tons of stuff that just lays unused around the house. I have been raised mostly on a mindset that buying too much is bad, but also my parents have a bit of "keep a spare, you might need it" attitude. (Sorry mom, but we both know this has been true, although now you are good at getting rid off unnecessary stuff.) And I am an only child, so that comes with people giving me quite a bit of things when I was a kid as there was not another sibling wanting the same as well. So not that I was super spoiled, but some might still say I was. I did have a lot of stuff, and also got a lot of secondhand clothes from an older cousin. All of which has led to adulthood, where I'm used to having quite a lot of stuff.

Thoughts On Conscious Shopping

Today's topic is probably again a little controversial, but something that I feel needs to be talked about because I feel not enough people do. Ethical fashion and conscious shopping. Now, I can't say I'm a model student or anything as it is, and I can openly admit I still have a lot to learn, but I'm keen on making my closet more ethical as I can.
