Lithuanian Surprise Box

A while back, my friend Vita suggested a Christmas time box swap. I haven't done a swap with anyone in years, so I got excited right away. We had talks about what categories each one would include, and agreed to general rules for it. And we would have no clue what the other has chosen into the box before opening our own one up. If you want to see what I got for her, you need to head on her Instagram @vi.kazlauskaite and check through her pics to find out, but I will share you what she generously got for me on this post.

present from friend

As you can see from the pic, my girl got me a ton of goodies! I liked each and every single thing, as I told her already in many occasions. She clearly gets me well since she managed to pick things that all suit me well.

velvet hat

Let's start off with the cute beanie her mom had made. It's lovely dark blue velvet, so it's super soft and a bit magical. I will surely wear this in the not too cold days this winter!

jewelry

She had chosen these two jewelry pieces for me, both of which are very much my style - I had been looking for a new crystal necklace which she now covered, and the bracelet is nice addition to my metal chic bracelets!

berry things

Next to food items. Vita sent me her favorite Christmas treat Kisielius, which to my pleasant surprise was just like "kiisseli", a dessert dish we have in Finland. Very delicious and definitely something I should make more! And the Veri Beri included fruit stripes in raspberry flavor - which was awesome because raspberry is one of my all time favorite flavors!

chocolate from lithuania

There was also chocolate - a package of dark chocolate and Pupa bars, which are coffee chocolate bars (and super delicious!).

lithuanian teas

Then there was tea, which was more than a pleasant surprise. One of these is green tea with mint, and the other one is caramel tea with glitter! Yes, really. Let me show how magical it looks:

glitter tea

You may not get the idea of all of it's beauty, but I can swear you the tea looks absolutely mesmerizing in real life. Also, it's worth mentioning both of the teas are handmade, so that makes them extra special.

makeup gift

Since we are both beauty enthusiasts, of course we also sent makeup to one another. I felt so overwhelmed unboxing these all!

lash serum

Mylì is apparently quite a new Lithuanian company, and this is their lash serum. My friend said she likes this one very much, so I'm eager to see if it works for me as well. I love the fact this has very short list of ingredients, and as it is from a small business in Europe, it's sure to be cruelty free!

artemis serum

Next item is a serum from Artemis of Switzerland, also one of my friend's favorite products and as much as I've tried it so far, it does seem amazing! It makes the skin look and feel amazing, and apparently it creates a bit of a barrier between your pores and your foundation so your skin doesn't get as violated by makeup.

mascara and nail polish

Nail polish in my favorite nail shade by Prestige and a mascara from GOSH. I've only used a couple of things from GOSH, and mostly that's been nail polishes, so it's interesting to test out this one. I wore it the other day and it seemed very nice, but I need a couple of tries more to give my final verdict.

inglot makeup

Some goodies from Inglot (which seems as a controversial brand when it comes to cruelty free aspect if you believe the cf beauty databases, but is still Peta approved and are good enough in my books - don't stone me for that!), an eyebrow gel and a couple of lipsticks. I'm excited to try them out since I've never tried Inglot before, even though I have heard many good things about them.

beautiful scarf

Lastly, the pattern in the background of the other photos is actually from this scarf! Isn't it beautiful? It's so soft, so pretty, and if you follow me on Instagram you know I have a favorite cardigan that this matches perfectly to.

Thank you dear Vita for doing this with me, and discovering that not only are we fellow metal girls, but that we're actually soul sisters in many levels. I know I told this to you already, but we really need to meet up one day at some place! (Maybe even in some metal concert!) I'm grateful to have "met" you through music, it's one of the best things in the world. I feel blessed to know you.

Have you ever done swaps like this with your friends? Let me know in the comments!

That's all for this post, and we still have a couple of more coming up before Christmas. This is the perfect time for you to leave me any post requests you have for next year, because I'm already planning and starting to prep my January content. So now is your chance to make decisions about it if you so wish. Also, don't forget to check out my Instagram and give it a follow, you can find me as @silvertigo! I'll see you all in my next post!

Have a wonderful day ♥
