Thrifting the Trends - Fringed Skirt

Happy Friday - and happy Easter weekend for those who celebrate it. I plan on eating well and relaxing which is why this post has been written beforehand so that I don't necessarily have to touch the computer during the long weekend.

This post is another part to the series "Thrifting the Trends", where I take the trends predicted on runwqays for the season SS19, and create them either by using what I already have, by thrifting or by DIYing the items. So I'm trying to show how most if not all trends can be recreated without necessarily going to the fast fashion shops and contributing to the problematic industry just because you're on a budget. The inspiration for the looks comes from the trend reports on Vogue and Pantone, one focusing on styles and other on colors.

Hello lovelies!

How are you all today? ♥

Now that weekend is over and the work week has started, it's time for me to get back to blogging. I had a break from my laptop for few days, which was all good as I sit on a computer 8 hours every day at work. I think that gives me a bit of a challenge with blogging, because I don't want to spend all my days fully on a computer, but yet I do enjoy writing and blogging so much I can't stay away. First world problems, I know.

One thing I'm so excited about right now is my upcoming bachelorette party, which I know nothing about except for the day and the city. That's all my dear maid of honors agree to tell me so far. I'm not a huge fan of surprises, at least, when it comes to events, but I trust my girls completely and I know that they will have something fun planned. I will try to document something I can actually share here as well when the time comes, but we'll see about that.

Today's post is an outfit post, which features an outfit from a while back, when the weather was a bit cooler than now, but not too much. (Finnish summers are so freaking cold!)

Jacket: Boohoo Boots: Andiamo Scarf: Gina Tricot Grey Shirt: Cubus Aztec Skirt: New Yorker Rings: Gina Tricot, Born Pretty Store, H&M, JC Belt: New Yorker Bag: Mango Bracelet: (a necklace) Accessorize Necklaces: Gina Tricot, gift from mom

So there are quite many things in this look - but you know how I like to go overboard with my accessorizing. I was matching my outfit to my nails here, and you can read more about the nails in the previous post. I also need to say I love that jacket so, so much, and need to find more creative ways to wear it before the autumn, when it's appropriate again. Unless of course we have icy weather in the summer and I can wear it then as well.

What do you guys think about the look? Let me know in the comments below!

I'm heading to bed now so that I will get up all energetic and happy and so on. I think I will have a minute or few to blog again tomorrow, but if I don't, you can still stalk me on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and now also on Snapchat! You can find me there on the usual name silvertigo. I'm still quite lost with it, but I think using Snapchat will be a natural step towards creating some videos for you every once in a while. If you have any requests, please leave them below so I can start planning. See you all soon!

Have a fantastic week ♥

Hey darlings!

How are you all today? ♥

I've had my first full week of work, and it has felt so overwhelming. It seems I get to do many interesting things out there, and after the days I've been so tired I literally haven't been able to do much. (At least that was the case in the beginning of the week, when I wrote this post beforehand.) But I'm sure it'll be different next week, when I've gotten into rhythm and gotten some exercise into the schedule as well.

Today, I wanted to share this little outfit I wore a while back, which demonstrates once again my love for black and rock chic things.

I absolutely loved this outfit, although it once again might divide opinions quite a bit. I'm kinda very proud of that skirt, having made it myself, and can't wait to make a new skirt soon once I get few things out of my hands. Hopefully, I can make that project into a some kind of post.

Also, that jacket is such a favorite - I should learn how to style it better during this year. I think it's a bit challenging length as it is a bit cropped, so it isn't flattering with everything but looks very nice with dresses.

What do you guys think about this look? Let me know in the comments!

Now, I'm wishing you a lovely weekend, and promise to be back with another post tomorrow, or Sunday the latest. I have so much to post for you all and I can't wait to get them all out!

Have a fabulous weekend ♥
