Blue vs. Ikat

Hey lovelies!

How are you today? ♥

I've been once again working with my blogging space, and this time I actually got it the way I want it to be - pictures will follow a bit later. Today, I simply wanted to share some nail pictures with you, so let's get going with them, okay?

This may look familiar to you from my other posts, and it was indeed inspired by a mani I did earlier, but it's different. This was done with bit darker and more "blue" shades of blue. If that makes any sense. Probably not.

I'm not usually too much into blue nails, but lately I've been loving them quite a bit. I don't know why - maybe it's the Autumn?

The polishes I used were all by China Glaze: Feeling Twinkly, Licence & Registration Pls, White On White and Liquid Leather. The studs are from Born Pretty Store  and for the chevron I used some nail vinyls I bought from Etsy.

Next up is this Ikat print I had to do once I got Boho Blues in my hands. I just had a vision of how it would look, and it kinda came out well. Granted, I still have a lot to learn for these prints, but this wasn't bad at all.

I absolutely loved the colors and I think they are perfect transition shades for the early Autumn. I think this lilac vibed blue is actually one of my favorite shades now. This coming from a person that really doesn't love the blues too much.

The shades I used were again by China Glaze (see a pattern here?): as mentioned, the base is Boho Blues, then there's Liquid Leather, White On White and Trip Of A Lime Time. I used thin nail art brush as my tool for the pattern.

That's really all for today, I'm sorry the posts are quite compact (text-wise), but the long days take their toll, so  don't have the time to type everything I want. Maybe I will try to do more chatty posts on weekends, if you'd like.

But anyway, what do you think about these designs? Let me know in the comments below!

Now, I need to rush - I will answer your comments as soon as I can. Thank you for your love and support, I will try to give as much back as I can. If you want to hear more from me, follow me on social media for more frequent updates. There's a nail art challenge going on in my Instagram at the moment, and I'm always looking for other photo challenges to keep good stuff coming for you. See you soon here too!

Have a fabulous day ♥

Skittlette vs. Sugar Spun

Hello lovelies!

How are you today? ♥

I've been taking a couple of days off from blogging just to get some time away from laptop. My cousin visited us, and honestly I rather spent time with her than a computer. You know how it is. Family comes first. But since this blog is more or less my baby, it's always nice to come back to it even if mom needs some days off every once in a while.

Today, I wanted to share these two nail designs with you all:

First up are these skittlette nails. (Skittlette means there are at least two nail with a similar design - compared to skittle where every nail is different) I had so much fun playing with the neons here and I pretty much loved the outcome. This was a recreation of some nails I saw a while back on the internet but I can't remember who it was by (bad blogger!).

I really loved these neons and all, and it was refreshing to do tiger pattern after a long while. I could've made these into gels and worn them a lot longer than I did - which is a first in a long time as well.

The polishes I used were China Glaze White On White, Escaping Reality, Glow With The Flow, Highlight Of My Summer, Daisy Know My Name, Home Sweet House Music, Liquid Leather and Treble Maker. The silver polish is a Kiss nail art pen, and the studs and rhinestones are all from Born Pretty Store.

So with these we continue the rainbow theme, as I wanted to try the sugar spun technique for the first time. Now, this was kind of a failed attempt, but given it was my first time with it, it could have been a lot worse.

I really don't know what to say about these. They were kinda fun and colorful but I still wasn't too big of a fan of them. Maybe with more practice I could nail this technique (pun intended) but so far it didn't go too well.

As for the polishes I used the entire China Glaze Electric Nights collection, and the base color is White On White as usual.

There you go, two new nail designs for you to see, I hope you enjoyed this little post.

Do you have a favorite of the two? And what are your thoughts about these nails? Let me know in the comments!

Now, it's time for me to get some light food before bed, and tomorrow I need to start getting ready for the next weekend, which will be one of the most awesome ones in a while. I will let you know more about that later. Tomorrow, I will also share another outfit with you, so stay tuned for that one and check out my social media channels while your waiting for that!

Have an amazing start for the week ♥
