Coral Lace & Black Leather

Hey lovelies,

How was your weekend? ♥

I have been spending some time with a close friend, had a Skype call with mom and dad, and now I'm reading through a huge pile of blog posts you all have been posting this weekend (there's a lot of work there, do you all have to be so fabulous and talented? ;)). It's actually raining now here in Finland, and I'm anxious to find a 10 minute gap it wouldn't rain, so I could go outside take some photos...

Maybe I'll get lucky, though. :D

The upcoming week will be kinda busy, my boss told me I'm needed at work even more than usual, so I think I'll write another post right after this one just so I can provide new material for you all despite the rush here. :D

Okay, so now I think it's time to show you another outfit I really loved to wear. I paired neon coral and black, wore a fab little accessories and topped it off with my favorite leather jacket. I hope you enjoy the look too!

Cropped leather jacket: VILA
Belt: mom's old
Ballet flats: Skopunkten
Earrings: H&M
Neon chain bracelets: Seppälä

This was one of my favorite Summer looks this far, though it's still such early to say that... :D But there's pink, lace, some leather and an arm full of bling.... That's just so my thing. I think I need to figure out how to wear this a bit differently, so it doesn't get old. ;)

What are your thoughts about this look?

This time, I have a cute pink manicure to go together with this look. I wanted to use stars as I have been making a lot of animal prints lately, and this is what I came up with this time:

It's supposed to have a little ombre effect there, but it doesn't really show in the photos... :D It's more like a rough version of a French manicure with some stars on it. I've been thinking I should try out a more "bling" manicure for a midsummer party we're having with friends the next weekend... Do you think I should create something like that?

I really hope you'll all have a lovely week, the next post will be all about nails (nail care, nail art, etc...), and I hope you'll enjoy that when I get it posted. ♥

Now I think it stopped raining, finally, so I try and convince the love of my life to go out with me and take some pictures...

Blog ya later!

Neon & Lace

Heya everyone!

How are you today? ♥

So, remember when I said it's finally starting to look like Spring here?

Erase that memory. Immediately.

Why? Because it snowed yesterday (Monday). Like, a lot. Here in Tampere, that meant knee-deep snow. And it kept coming. The city faced the worse traffic situation in decades and I was unlucky enough to take part in that. My 15 minute drive t work took 1,5 hours, and if that wasn't stressing enough, I also managed to drive a little bit out of the road, because it was so darn icy.

Not to worry, me and the car are both more than okay. It just got me scared. (I mean, what else?)

Anyways, as it took me quite a while to get home, too, I wasn't really well enough for school today. So I studied home, and tried to make myself feel better by dressing up. (If you too agree that fashion makes you feel better, no matter what the worry, see the previous post. ♥) And I must say, it kinda worked.

But then I had to go to work. :D

What was the secret to feeling good today? Well, this:

Yeah, I know, I really can't take a serious photo. Hence, I make faces.

Blazer: Mango
Top: GinaTricot
Jeans: Stocker
Shoes: SoWhat
Feather earrings: H&M
Aviators: Citymarket (grocery store :D)
Flower ring: Seppälä

So basically I was putting together neon (yes, it's neon yellow even though it looks like a pastel one :D) and lace, both trends I really like this season. (Though I like them both even if they aren't trendy...) But as you can see, it's really, really not that Spring-like here. Darn you, snow. Though at least it makes a decent background with the sun, don't you agree? ;) I know that the outfit blends in with the snow a little bit, but it's sort of the point here.

Anyway... What do you think? Is this a nice way to style neon/lace? How would you style these two? Let me hear your thoughts!

And no look is complete without a manicure, even though this time mine is more contrast to it than really a part of it.

This time a very simple one, turquoise nails with gold accents. I used IsaDora nr. 683, Dazzling Ocean, and Maybelline Forever Strong Pro nr. 810, Chic Gold. (This combination made me instantly think of you, Grace! Yes, I still remember your teal/gold obsession :D)

So there you have it, my look today! :)

I try to be a good blogger and have a new post for you on Thursday, but as we are traveling that day, I can't make a promise. In the meantime, you can join me on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and starting from yesterday, on Pose. Let's keep in touch, lovers! ♥

Have a wonderful (and snow-free!) week, everyone! :)
