Dress & Boots

Hi beautiful people!

Who else is loving the fact it's December already? I know I am.

And because it finally snowed a little, it's not as depressing as it was a week ago because it's not so dark. I was energetic enough to get up at 8 to do a online exam, not sure if that went very well, but... We'll see. Also, this week I should go and get a new battery for our stubborn little car, who decided it's super fun to kill the battery as soon as the snow came. I would really need the car to get to work smoothly, but luckily the buses run pretty regularly, too, so as long as one dresses up warm enough, it's all good.

Though personally I think it's hard to dress up warm enough for -20 degree weather. (That's in Celsius.)

I'm really hoping my Christmas calendar would get to me soon, like, in this week, maybe. I bought one for my fiance yesterday and like a little child, I'm a little jealous because I don't have mine yet. It's silly, I'm aware.

Today, I'm digging up my archives again and sharing this Autumn outfit - once again something the weather would not allow here at the moment. I hope I get to the snowy pictures soon enough, I'm at least planning to take those during the weekend. If it's not as cold as it is this morning.

Dress: Gina Tricot
Top: Gina Tricot (studs DIY)
Belt: Mango
Blazer: H&M (thrifted)
Boots: Boohoo.com
Bag: Mango
Snood: Gina Tricot
Earrings: Seppälä
Rings: Nelly.com

Simple, girly outfit with a little messy hair, something that felt right that day. I would love to learn to rock a "I just got out of bed" kind of hair, as that would solve many issues in the mornings. And think about the saved time! Those boots have been in so many outfits already, but I can't help myself as they are so comfy. Now they're a bit cold, but I'm going to clean them up and store them to wait for Spring very soon. I don't quite know what else to say about the outfit. Just that I had a couple of weeks I was very into neutrals this Autumn. And it shows here very well.

What are your thoughts about this combination? Has there been certain color schemes you've loved this year? Share your thoughts! ♥

Now I'm going to make a big cup of tea and watch a bit of one of my favorite series, after which I need to do some writing for school. But that doesn't stop me from writing comments to all your fabulous blogs. ;)

I hope you're all having a lovely start for your week, and keep warm even if you have a freezing weather out there like we do here in Finland!

Blog ya later,

xoxo

Neutral Blazer

Hi sweeties!

How are you today?

I just started a little project today - which is getting a puzzle (1500 pieces) together, and then on our wall with frames. I already purchased the frames, and have half of the puzzle done, so it's nearly there. I also organized our laundry thoroughly, and rearranged my nail polish stash into two boxes - it didn't fit into one, lol. And besides that, I've taken care of some school stuff, so it's been a busy day.

What have you all been up to today? ♥

Also, I noticed that I've been lacking a bit on the daily life posts, but I think I'll get to them on weekend, starting with a little "details of our home" kind of post. ;) Remember that you can always suggest ideas for posts, and I will always consider every single one more or less!

Now, before I get back to my puzzle - I hope to get it on the wall tomorrow, if possible - I want to share an outfit that has been waiting for quite a while in my drafts. This was shot about a month ago (yes, I have these stored for many posts to come, as my greatest fear is to run out of material) when wearing ballet flats still felt like a option. Now it's simply too cold!

But nevertheless, here's an outfit with very neutral tones and little girly details. We were going shopping when taking the pictures, hence the parking lot.

If you like this nail art, see more in this post!
Blazer: H&M (thrifted)
Skirt: Oasap
Glitter ballet flats: DIY (see here)
Bracelets: Seppälä, H&M, Nelly.com
Scarf: My mom's old
Bag: Mango

This was - I think - a bit unusual look for me, but it felt nice at the time. And it looked pretty nice, I think combining the super girly skirt with the nude blazer creates this girly but sophisticated look and it would be quite flattering for most body types. The scarf I got from mom is such a gem, and prefect to wear in those not-too-cold-but-that-warm-either days we all experience when the Autumn starts to turn into Winter.

What do you think about this combination? Do you like to wear these toned down shades, or are you more into brights?

Anyway, I'm off now to finish off the puzzle before some sleep - and tomorrow shall be another extremely busy day. Thank God Friday is a day off. And I promise a fun post then, so stay tuned! ♥

Have a lovely week!

Blog ya later,

Studs of Summer

Hi lovelies!

How are you? ♥

Sorry for neglecting blogging for a few days - I needed a little time off to get a bit more inspired writing here for you. ;) Also, one of my closest friends was visiting after a long while, so I spent the whole weekend catching up with her (and shopping). And then Monday and Tuesday went by with wardrobe reorganization, so now, 3 hours into Wednesday, I finally have the time to write the post I was supposed to write on Monday... Oh, well.

I'm still waiting for the real Summer to begin, it's cold, cloudy and rainy here in Finland, and I hate it because I can't wear my Summer wardrobe out there. Well, maybe later this week, though. Now on Wednesday I've planned to take photos after such a long while - both because of the cuts and bruises and schedule problems, - but lucky for me (or you, however) I have few nice outfits ready for me to wear and "model".

I hope you'll enjoy what's coming!

Today's outfit is something I wore before Midsummer, when it was sunny and warm. And also busy. So forgive me if the pictures aren't the most fabulous, we took them in under 15 minutes on our balcony - right before I headed to work. :D

White top: H&M, the black one under it: Gina Tricot (DIY)
Shorts: Zara, details: DIY
Sandals: SpiritStore
Gold & mint bracelets: Nelly.com
Skull bracelet: Gina Tricot
Earrings: Seppälä
Aviators: Citymarket

Kinda simple outfit, but that's how I like them in the Summer. I also love metallic details (as if you didn't already know!), especially studs, so this was just perfect. I have other - in my opinion - nice outfits I wore that weekend, I just need to re-wear them and take the pictures so you can judge them. ;)

But, how do you like this look?

I hope you're all doing fabulously this week - I know I do as I got the wardrobe in order. You couldn't believe how much stuff I threw away to make room for items that are more "me" than my old clothes. I will show you the neat new order in the apartment post - as soon as I can manage to photograph that...

Have a fantastic week! And thank you for all your comments, likes, follows etc. here in Blogger as well as all the other social platforms. I totally appreciate all your support! ♥

Coral Lace & Black Leather

Hey lovelies,

How was your weekend? ♥

I have been spending some time with a close friend, had a Skype call with mom and dad, and now I'm reading through a huge pile of blog posts you all have been posting this weekend (there's a lot of work there, do you all have to be so fabulous and talented? ;)). It's actually raining now here in Finland, and I'm anxious to find a 10 minute gap it wouldn't rain, so I could go outside take some photos...

Maybe I'll get lucky, though. :D

The upcoming week will be kinda busy, my boss told me I'm needed at work even more than usual, so I think I'll write another post right after this one just so I can provide new material for you all despite the rush here. :D

Okay, so now I think it's time to show you another outfit I really loved to wear. I paired neon coral and black, wore a fab little accessories and topped it off with my favorite leather jacket. I hope you enjoy the look too!

Cropped leather jacket: VILA

Ballet flats: Skopunkten
Earrings: H&M
Neon chain bracelets: Seppälä
Friendship bracelets: DIY
Metallic bracelet: H&M
Necklaces: H&M

This was one of my favorite Summer looks this far, though it's still such early to say that... :D But there's pink, lace, some leather and an arm full of bling.... That's just so my thing. I think I need to figure out how to wear this a bit differently, so it doesn't get old. ;)

What are your thoughts about this look?

This time, I have a cute pink manicure to go together with this look. I wanted to use stars as I have been making a lot of animal prints lately, and this is what I came up with this time:

Manicure of the day

It's supposed to have a little ombre effect there, but it doesn't really show in the photos... :D It's more like a rough version of a French manicure with some stars on it. I've been thinking I should try out a more "bling" manicure for a midsummer party we're having with friends the next weekend... Do you think I should create something like that?

I really hope you'll all have a lovely week, the next post will be all about nails (nail care, nail art, etc...), and I hope you'll enjoy that when I get it posted. ♥

Now I think it stopped raining, finally, so I try and convince the love of my life to go out with me and take some pictures...
