Baby Pink Nails

Spring time means spring nails. So, I created this simple mani you can definitely create at home as well. You only need one color polish and some water decals.

Glitter Accent & Crosses

Hello lovelies! How are you today? ♥ Look who's back so soon after the previous post. Got to start out strong, right? Also, I've needed to make decent use out of my flu days so there's not many things better than blogging in times like these. I'm also getting back to reading my favorites, since I've been more about Instagram and YouTube lately. But with the new energy of the new year I feel like getting back to reading in many ways.

Today, I wanted to share a couple of manicures with you, if you're up to that.

If not, come back when a new post is up because it will be about something else. I promise.

Pink & Ruffles

Hello my lovelies, and Happy New Year! How are you doing today? ♥ I've been such a bad blogger after Halloween, but I guess I've just needed a break from it. I'm sorry for not letting you know I would be gone so much, I honestly didn't know how long it would take for me to feel good enough about blogging. I think now I might.

I also think I maybe want to find a bit new aesthetics to the pictures I upload, so I may be investing in a new camera some time soon. I feel the old one isn't doing enough justice anymore which further lowers my inspiration to create. But I really want t get back to my dear hobby so hopefully we'll get back to the routine soon.

Today, however, I wanted to share a look from the archives. Since it's -20 degrees and we have snow all over, it feels funny to post a look like this. But it's a cute look so why not.

Negative Space & Aztec

Hello lovelies! How are you today? ♥ It's the weekend and I'm excited to see the F1 qualifying as well as what Montreal has to offer on a Saturday night. I always love seeing weekends abroad because it teaches you a lot about the culture in there. I'm also excited to find out if there's something special around town as it is Formula weekend. So we'll be exploring that later on.

Today, I wanted to share these couple of nail designs with you:

Neon Leopard & Victoria's Secret

Hello lovelies! How are you today? ♥ Today marks my birthday, and I'll be spending it by getting to Helsinki where we'll stay before getting to Canada on Tuesday. I'm hoping to get a nice coffee or meal to celebrate a bit today, but we will also be seeing one of my dearest friends tomorrow and of course the trip itself is quite an amazing present. So no complaints whatsoever.

Today, I'm sharing two fun nail art designs with you. Both of these are something I would gladly wear for my birthday, but I'm actually having a bit different design (see my Instagram for more!). Still, I really love these two designs a lot.

Pink Chevron & Negative Space Glitter

Hello lovelies! How are you today? ♥ I had awesome weekend with boys, and we made quite a bit of good memories while playing games and watching hockey. I never get quite as relaxed anywhere as I do when I spend time with the guys. So, in case any of you are reading this, hello, I love you all so much. Thanks for the weekend, and I can't wait for the next adventure after few weeks!

Today, I really wanted to share these two nail designs with you, so that we could maybe one day catch up on the designs - at least a bit. These are both designs I was pretty proud of, so I'm really hoping you like them too!

Zebra Dress

Hello lovelies! How are you today? ♥ I've been having a great week so far, yesterday was day off so I could schedule this post for you as well as prep pictures for few outfit posts in the future. I have currently two weeks worth of posts ready to go, so I think we'll be all set for my holiday next month if I can only keep this schedule up. Which I think I can since We've been quite good with the outfit posts lately with the hubby. And next month, you will get travel content once I get back from the trip. Isn't that exciting?

Anyway, today I really wanted to share this more colorful look with you:

Valentine's Nails With Born Pretty Store #1

Pink Details

Hey lovelies!

How are you today? ♥

I had a lovely day with marketing books, chilling and hairdresser appointment, and I'm so ready for the coming work days. I also got a little something to help me out with the Halloween posts (which I will start posting this week!) so that I can be more versatile.

Today, however, I'm sharing another casual work look with you:

DSC09954 (Large)DSC09967 (Large)DSC09990 (Large)DSC09984 (Large)DSC09995 (Large)DSC09969 (Large)

Jeans: secondhand/DIY Top: Gina Tricot Scarf: Mango Belt: secondhand Shoes: Adidas Jacket: H&M Bandana: H&M Necklace: Gina Tricot Bracelets: Gina Tricot Rings: H&M, gift from friend

This was something I could wear every day. I love the pink details here a lot, but the look still isn't overly girly. Like you probably know, the shoes were such an obsession for me this summer, so building an outfit around them was obvious. I gotta say I really love the jeans here, the DIY rips make them perfect for me, even if the one in the knee has gotten slightly too huge. I still love them.

What do you think about this look? Let me know in the comments below!

Now, I'm gonna hit the bed. You can keep up with me through social media between the posts, if you want to. I will be posting a little something tomorrow, and at the end of the week you'll see first of the Halloween posts for this year. I hope you guys will enjoy the future posts, as I've had so much fun planning them.

Have a lovely day ♥

Pink Blazer

Hello lovelies!

How are you today? ♥

I've enjoyed a rainy day home, shot a Halloween look number two, edited the blog's layout (did you see?) and also had some household chores done. So not bad at all. What have you been up to?

Today, I'm sharing this summer office look because I really need to get these out of the way as it is September already (and I'm shooting Halloween stuff as it is). I really loved this look, and even though you may think shorts in the office are a no-no, in our office it's fine. As long as they are somewhat good taste and you butt is not showing.

Shorts: custom made Blazer: H&M Ballet flats: Andiamo(?) Top: Bershka Necklace: gift from friend Headband: Boohoo Rings: Gina Tricot, H&M

Maybe too many shots of this look, but I loved so many of the (detail) pics. I had an updo for once (let me know if you'd like a tutorial), and this was kind of way out of my comfort zone. I mean, I don't wear all pink that often. Or ever. But I went for it this time and it was kind of fun. And it wasn't even a Wednesday. Probably.

What do you dolls think about this look? Let me know in the comments below!

I'm gonna go now, and watch some late night TV with my man. I hope you liked this post, and the new blog layout (which might get little alterations soon). If you want to see more, follow me on social media for Halloween sneak peeks and more fun things. I will see you all tomorrow!

Have a fabulous weekend ♥

Feather vs. Ikat

Hello lovelies!

How are you all today?

I'm very excited today as this week, we've finally decided our wedding rings. I get to pick up mine this week and then all that remains is pretty much my dress for the day. Of course I also have a discussion to have with the catering to make sure they will consider the different diets some of the guests - including myself - have. But so far, I think it seems pretty good. I must say I start to feel quite excited for the wedding, and the thought of a bachelorette party with my girls sounds pretty darn amazing. I will try to do some kind of a post about wedding planning soon, where I can tell about my experience so far. I'm really hoping to make ones about the bachelorette party and wedding itself as well, but we'll see how well I will handle the camera then.

Today, I really wanted to talk to you about girly stuff, so I decided it was time for a new nail art post. Hope you like it!

DSC06766 (Large)

First up is this set of baby pink feather nails, which were so fun to paint - and were actually a result of an uninspired moment when I thought I wouldn't get decent nail art done. And I ended up loving them a lot. So that was nice.

DSC06794 (Large)DSC06774 (Large)

I really enjoyed having these nails, I think the feather print, baby pink and gold all compliment each other nicely. This felt super girly to me, and I must say I love that light pink color a lot.

DSC06781 (Large)

The colors I used were China Glaze Spring In My Step, Goldie But Goodie, De-Light, Essie Licorice, and couple of Kiss nail art pens. Studs are from Born Pretty Store

DSC06773 (Large)DSC06930 (Large)

Next is this Ikat pattern I created with two of the Rimmel nail polishes I got earlier this Spring. I have been dying to try this, but I always thought it's difficult. Few weeks ago I saw another Finnish nail blogger (I'm guessing it was Nena Sofia's Nails, but not sure) do these, so I had to finally google it out.

It turned out that the technique is actually not that hard, and I'm thinking I could try out making a tutorial. Would you guys prefer pictorial or a video? Let me know.

DSC06952 (Large) DSC06948 (Large)
Again, I loved these quite a bit. The Ikat pattern isn't exactly how I wanted, but for a first try, this wasn't entirely bad. Luckily the technique is very forgiving and looks best as bit messy.

DSC06963 (Large) The colors I used were China Glaze White On White and Crimson, and Rimmel Peachella and Glaston-Berry. The only tool needed is a thin nail art brush.

DSC06941 (Large)
I hope you darlings enjoyed this post at least as much as I enjoyed painting my nails for the pics. I think these both were very wearable but fun, and I'm sure I will be making similar ones with different colors this year. I know I will paint Ikat pattern this week, because I can't wait to see how it looks with neon colors.

Let me know which one is your favorite in the comments below!

That's all I have for you today, make sure to check my social media accounts for more (links in the sidebar except for Snapchat - where you can find me as silvertigo). I will be back tomorrow with another post, so stay tuned.

Have a fabulous day ♥

Bandana

Hello lovelies!

How are you all today? ♥

Sorry about the silence of couple of days, I've been relatively busy with life, including wedding planning, purchasing gifts for loved ones and rearranging my office space. Now I'm happily sitting in my new typing corner (which I will be posting about once it's perfect) writing this post. I feel so much better with this arrangement, even though there's still plenty of little things to do. (Like getting a lamp and decluttering a bit more.

However, today I really wanted to talk about this little I wore a while back and loved a lot.

Ripped Jeans: Gina Tricot/DIY Denim Shirt: Lee Cooper Tee: secondhand Bandana: Seppälä Sneakers: Boohoo Short Necklace: Gina Tricot Long Necklace: H&M Bracelets: Accessorize, KappAhl, H&M, DIY

I can't describe to you how much I loved to wear this look. It made me feel super confident and I felt like the look was very much "me", especially the destroyed jeans that divide opinions a lot. I know they can look sloppy to some, but I personally love them so much I don't even care if people hate them. I added lot of pink inspired by the tee to make the look a bit more soft and girly. (and of course because it is my favorite color)

What do you guys think about this look? Let me know in the comments ♥

Now, I'm heading to bed because in the morning I need to be again energetic and ready to face the fun challenges of the work week. I can't stress enough how happy I am with my internship place, it is one of the reasons I actually had the inspiration and energy to rearrange and better my home office. I want to feel at least half s efficient when I'm working home (whether it is blogging, school, or any other task that needs to be done), so the little changes were necessary. I still have few small things I would love to have in the home office before showing you the renewed version, but once those get done I will give you some kind of a tour around it.

But that is a story for another day. I will see you soon, but in the meantime you can follow me on Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat - where you can find me as silvertigo - for little sneak peeks around my days and all that jazz.

Have a fantastic start for the new week!

Pink Galaxy vs. Cute Animals

Hello lovelies!

How are you doing today? ♥

I finally had a day to chill out, breathe deep and take time off from everything. Also, some wedding planning has taken place. I'm so excited to see our tiny party coming together, and next month I get to do the last preparations. It seems pretty overwhelming that in couple of months I will actually be a married lady. That's crazy.

But anyway, today I wanted to share these nail art designs with you.

DSC05886 (Large)

First is this pink galaxy thing that I created a while back (before Easter) and absolutely loved wearing. If you have been reading my blog for a while now, you probably know that I love galaxy prints a lot. And when it's pink, it's even better.

DSC05891 (Large)DSC05898 (Large)

I added lots of glitter to make the mani extra fabulous, and I think that worked quite well. Also, looking these pictures make me wanna paint galaxy mani on my nails again.

DSC05907 (Large)

Polishes I used were White On White, Escaping Reality, Seas The Day, Float On, Feel The Breeze, Sweet Hook and Fairy Dust by China Glaze, Glitter Bomb Disco Diva by Rimmel and Madeleine by Make Up Store. For the decorating I used thin nail art brush, dotting tool and small pieces of makeup sponges.

DSC05917 (Large)DSC05925 (Large)

The other mani is actually my this year's Easter mani, which you probably have already seen on my Facebook and Instagram, but let's post it here as well in case you lot would like some inspiration for next year. But of course, why not paint cute animals and such on other occasions as well, there's no rule against that.

DSC05942 (Large)DSC05933 (Large)

This was pretty unusual mani for me, as I actually painted some figures and such, instead of creating simple patterns and all. I think I did pretty well, but that's really up to you.

DSC05937 (Large)

The polishes I used were White On White, Sun Upon My Skin, Grass Is Lime Greener, I'm With The Lifeguard, In The Limelight, Float On by China Glaze, Green Couture by L'Oreal and pink, purple and light blue nail art pens by Kiss. Also, a glitter top coat Portland Dream from Viva La Diva collection by Alessandro.

DSC05928 (Large)

So there you go, two different manis, both of which have their pros and cons. But now it's your turn to say:

What do you think about these manis? Let me know in the comments!

I'm going to hit the bed now, but I'll be back tomorrow evening with another little post. Stay tuned my darlings, and I'll talk to you soon.

Have a fabulous start for your week ♥

Let's be friends in IG!
