I've spent today studying, baking and relaxing as well as decorating home for Halloween. Not a bad start for a week. Tomorrow, I will be starting a new class at school which is so cool as I will be learning about graphic stuff and so on. Of course that means a bit more rush with my schedule and that I need to truly write my posts ahead of time to keep up. But that's cool because it will probably help the blog be more planned.

Today, we will be talking about nails and continuing the 31-day series or this year:

My design for yellow was a very simple one, just plain yellow nails with glitter accent nail and rhinestones. Nothing too different, but I did like wearing these a lot.

I really love the glitter polish here a lot, I absolutely need to find more uses for it this later in the A/W season.

The polishes used for this design were China Glaze Daisy Know My Name and Boundary Of Memory. The triangle rhinestones are from Born Pretty Store (see sidebar for a discount codes).

The green design is a recreation of one of the girls from Finnish nail art group on Facebook. I was doing a mani swap with her so it felt like a nice idea to create something that works for both. So this happened.

This was a nice little simple mani, and think the dotticure design is super cute (and I should definitely do those more).

The polishes I used were China Glaze White On White, Highlight Of My Summer, Grass Is Lime Greener and Too Yacht To Handle. The dots, of course, were done with the help of a dotting tool.

I know I planned on posting this on Thursday, but I was having a huge anxiety attack and being on the laptop didn't really feel right. Don't worry though, I'm doing fine, sometimes the stress just gets to me a bit. Anyway, today I'm sharing another Halloween look, because I need to get going with them if I wish to post them all before Halloween itself. 

Today's Halloween look is a vampire, inspired by the Twilight Saga and especially Rosalie. You may notice my looks are more or less recreations of looks that are out there already, because so far, I'm learning the techniques. I'm trying to put my own style into them if that only is possible, but these are more inspiration posts than tutorials. Although in this post I'm showing some of the steps for this look.

I started off with creating a pale base for the look, even more so than my natural skin is. I used thin layer of white face paint sponged over light concealer to create a flawless face. I also based the lips with concealer.

Keys to this look (in my opinion) are even, pale skin, dark, neat brows and subtle smokey eye.

Finished makeup had the little beauty spot Rosalie has, nude lips and long lashes. And as you see, I'm wearing contacts for the look to make my eyes more intense.

Lastly I curled my hair, chose a cute necklace and changed the top to a burgundy one. Rosalie (and most pop culture vampires) have simple, neat styles so I kinda went for that. And wore sweatpants as you can't see them in the pics, hehe.

If you want to gore up this look, you can whip up your own fake blood from syrup, food coloring, water and corn starch. There are a lot of easy tutorials for that out there, so you can simply google that. I got to say, this tasted pretty good, which is great for a vampire look as you can totally look like you enjoy the blood. 

Wow, that sounded somewhat twisted. I blame the Halloween.

I really liked playing with this look, I'm not that amazing in costume makeup or such, but being able to somehow pull this off is so cool to me. If desired, this one is quite easy to make more gore by just drawing veins, circles under the eyes, adding fangs and maybe some scars/bite marks. I didn't go that far mostly because of the budget, but maybe one of these years I'll try that out.

I had a lovely dinner with my colleagues today, followed by a cozy TV night with my man. This is actually great, taken that last night was all about reinstalling our PC and failing at it. But I'm sure I will get it sorted out soon - at least with the help of a friend or something. I actually planned out over a week's worth of looks to photograph so that part is covered for a while. Yay!

Today, I'm sharing an Autumn look with you. This one was inspired by a picture I saw on Instagram, but I adapted it a bit to fit my wardrobe better.

This outfit was something I enjoyed wearing quite a bit. I wore this to a coffee date with a friend, and that's part of the reason I feel so warmly about it. I think. Although the boots and layers are totally my thing in Autumn. I really think they're so comfy! That jacket is from my husbands niece, who is only couple of years younger than me and has lovely style. She was throwing this away and asked if I maybe wanted to have it. And of course I did, look at the color and the detailing, it's perfect Autumn piece!

I have yet to convince my husband to do a His Style post, but we're definitely making progress. Here is his favorite pair of shoes this Autumn, and I gotta say I love these ones too. I would definitely wear a similar pair.

I was bowling today with my colleagues, which was so much fun even if I kind of sucked. I still liked spending time with people and trying to learn something bout the sport. As promised, today I'm sharing my first Halloween look with you. I don't really have tutorials for any of these, but you can find those on Google and YouTube.

So first, here is leopard makeup. For this you need brown, gold and bronze eyeshadows, eyeliner, and your normal makeup products. Basically this is just a bold cat eye makeup with painted spots as much all over the body as you want to paint them. Like  mentioned, there are a lot of tutorials, so mine is just an inspiration post. I liked this look, and my hubby thought this was pretty fun as well.

There's couple of ways you can easily rock the ears; you can create buns from your hair, or you can wear a headband. Or if you have  hat, or appropriate hoodie etc. of course that works too. I wore tube top with leo print and tied my hair to buns. 

So that's my first Halloween inspiration look for this year, I will post another one soon - and will probably create a couple more than the sneak peeks I've been showing on social media.
