Cat-themed nails x2

Heya everyone!

Happy Friday ♥

I hope you're all doing well this beautiful Friday. I'm having the usual day off from school today, though I have a paper to write today. But that's piece of cake. We're going to see a hockey game today with my fiance, and I'm so excited about it! I absolutely love ice hockey, in all forms. Now I just need to figure out what to wear to keep warm in the audience. ;)

What do you like to wear when enjoying sports live?

Like the title suggest, this post is more or less about cat-themed nails. Wanna see them already?

Alright, here we go:

Glitzy Rainbow Tiger Nails. Pretty much as seen on a Cutepolish tutorial (if you haven't seen it, go here and check it out!) Sorry about the messy cuticles, they were not in good shape when taking these pictures.

The other one is more toned down with the colors, as I only used two. These were my first ever nail art for breast cancer awareness - and I couldn't resist adding a little Hello Kitty. ;)

How do you like these manicures? And, what are you doing this fun Friday night?

Black & Gold Nails (+ tutorial)

Hey babes! ♥

How are you all this Tuesday?

It feels like such a long time since I last posted, though I don't suppose it is that long break. Oh well.

Anyways, today I'm showing you a little nail art tutorial I photographed a while back. So if you're fancying a black/gold manicure, here's one option. ;)

Photobucket

How to create this manicure:

DSC06279

You need two nail polishes, nail stickers, micro beads, base coat and a top coat. (I have extra stuff here because I wasn't sure what I wanted to create at first.) Note: Remember to let the polish dry after each step!

DSC06281

Start off with base coat. I use Essie All In One, but use whatever you prefer.

DSC06284

Start the painting with the black polish. My personal go-to black is Essie Licorice (or Liquorice, however you want to spell it).

DSC06288

Paint your pinky, thumb and ring finger nails completely black, and use tape to create a diagonal line to the middle finger. (If you have a steady hand, you don't necessarily need the tape.)

DSC06289

Take out your gold polish - my choice was China Glaze I'm Not Lion, which is super gorgeous glitter polish with fine glitter and perfect coverage with just two-three layers.

DSC06293

Paint the remaining one and half nails with the gold polish.

DSC06296

Now that you're base is done, you can start decorating your nails. I started by adding a piece of chain sticker along the diagonal line of the middle fingers.

DSC06297

Next step would be adding the caviar to the ring fingers. Add another layer of black polish, and before it's dry, sprinkle black micro beads on the finger. Press down the beads gently to get them to attach better.

DSC06299

Create a cross with round sticker studs on the pinky.

DSC06301

Use the dotting tool to create black dots of different sizes on your index fingers. Then use smaller dotting tool to add gold dots on top of some of the black dots.

DSC06300

Next, create a diamond shape on your thumb with striping tape. I was on the fence whether to leave it like this or continue, but this time decided to continue.

DSC06303

Paint over the whole thumb with gold polish, and let dry before removing the striping tapes. Be gentle when pulling the tape off, so that it won't ruin the design.

DSC06305

Now you just have to add your top coat (I used Essie Good To Go) and clean up possible mess, and you're done. The caviar part doesn't necessarily need a top coat, because many of the beads tend to lose their color when the top coat is added. Also, my tip for clean up is to use a small brush dipped in nail polish remover. Gently brush along the sides of your nails, and the nails should end up looking neat. I also recommend adding a little moisturizing after the clean up, so that your cuticles won't end up dry and painful.

Now go on and try this - or at least some of it - out yourselves! Nail art is super easy, once you learn how to. ;)

Please let me think how do you like this tutorial/nail design! Let me also know what kind of nail tutorials you'd like to see in the future so I will try to keep your requests in mind when painting my nails.

I hope you'll all have a fabulous week!

Pink Leopard Print Studded Nails

Heya People! ♥

How are you all?

Like promised yesterday, here's a manicure I did some while ago (and the one you've seen already in my Instagram photos). But I wanted to show you better pictures of it.

So, here goes.

Photobucket

I'm not quite sure where I got the inspiration from, but I really wanted to combine two favorite things: animal print and studs. The fact it also has pink and gold is just a lucky bonus. ;)

Photobucket

Many have already asked for a tutorial for these nails - and for your happiness, I can tell that I have photographed one already, and it'll be up in next few weeks. It's a different color than this, because I don't like to do the same thing twice with my nails. But it's the same design more of less, so you will learn to make this. It's quite easy, I tell you!

Photobucket

And because someone will want to know, the polishes used for this manicure were Essie All In One Base Coat, China Glaze I'm Not Lion, IsaDora Pink Lemonade (715) and Essie Good To Go topcoat. Studs came from Kiss nail art sticker sheet, and I painted the leopard print myself. More details will be on the tutorial! ♥

I hope you liked this manicure, please let me know what you think on the comment box! ;)

And don't forget to enter my giveaway, where three lucky readers get a little something to glam up their nails! Click here to go to the giveaway post ♥

Have a pleasant week!
