Halloween 2016: Rainbow Inspired

Hey lovelies! How are you today? ♥ I can't believe there's only week and a half left of October. Time is flying by so fast! This morning, I got some blood test done for my thyroid check, and I'm hoping to get good news back from there. I've been feeling great, but I'm always nervous something will come up when getting any checkup done. I'll let you know later on how that went though.

Today, I'm sharing another Halloween inspiration post:

Orange vs. Aztec ♥

Hello my darlings!

How are you today? ♥

The week is finally done, and it's one week, two exams, one project and a bunch of tasks between me and my winter break. And that feels pretty awesome. I'm also super excited for our projects class, where we will be doing quite cool things during the spring. I never though of myself as a project-loving person, but I guess I was wrong. Or maybe it depends on a project a lot.

Anyways, we're waiting for my cousin and her fiance to get here, so I'm taking the chance to blog now, as the house is looking decently clean and I have few minutes all to myself. So, today, I wanted to share these two nail designs with you all.

DSC03601 (Large)

First up, a set of orange leopard nails, for which the inspiration came from browsing the web and seeing some awesome designs. Nothing too unique, but this was fun to do.

DSC03606 (Large)DSC03610 (Large)

Colors I used for these are Essie Licorice, China Glaze Sun Of A Peach, China Glaze Gossip Over Gimlets, and Rimmel London Glitter Top Coat Disco Diva. The studs and rhinestones are all from Born Pretty Store.

DSC03579 (Large)

For this kind of nails, the only tool you need is a dotting tool, as it is very useful for the leopard print. Of course you can also paint with a brush, but I personally think it's too difficult and that's why I prefer dotting tool.

DSC03597 (Large)DSC03828 (Large)

The other mani is also colorful, but still totally different. Somehow I've been creating very summery manis lately, even though it's almost Christmas. I completely blame the lack of snow there, because normally I would be all about Christmas nails by now. I'll try to create at least a couple of those before Christmas though!

DSC03827 (Large)DSC03825 (Large)

With this mani I had a lot of fun just playing with colors, as I was trying to make something that would look cool on the glow bowling alley. Yes, I made nails just for that. Call me crazy if you want to.

DSC03821 (Large)

For these nails I used a whole rainbow, China Glaze White On White, China Glaze Stoaked To Be Soaked, BK UV Pink, Depend Neon Yellow, Gosh Blue Balloon and Alessandro Top Coat Viva La Diva. Top coat is my usual choice Essie Good To Go. The diamond stickers are from Born Pretty Store.

So here are my two designs for today, I hope you enjoyed them and got at least a little bit inspired. If you decide to recreate either of these, please tag me on your posts or link them to me!

Let me know what you think about these nails in the comments below!

Now, I'm gonna go spend time with my people, but I'll talk to you again on Sunday! I hope you'll all have an amazing weekend, as we sure will.

Have a fantastic day ♥

Rainbow, Two ways ♥

Heya lovelies!

How are you all? ♥

We had a hilarious weekend with my boys, and I had so much fun I yet again left my laptop alone and lived my life instead. Though, I have quite a lot of things I want to post to you. Like today's nails.

Anyway, I'm going back to school tomorrow, so, a fair warning, I might not be able to post too, too often, because of the school work. But I do my best to keep the blog running. And also, if you have contacted me lately via the blog's email, I'll get back to you by Thursday.

Today, however, it's time to see some more nail art:

 photo DSC00292Large.jpg

The first one is a simple skittle mani with China Glaze pastels. I wanted to do something fun but easy, so I added some studs to make the mani more me.

 photo DSC00297Large.jpg photo DSC00300Large.jpg photo DSC00304Large.jpg

The colors used here are called Sweet Hook, Feel The Breeze, If In Doubt, Surf It Out, Sun Upon My Skin and Highlight Of My Summer. The studs are from Born Pretty Store.

 photo DSC00308Large.jpg photo DSC00861Large.jpg

The other one is another galaxy mani, this time using several colors instead ones from the same "family". I really liked this one, and think I will do a new galaxy one as soon as I figure out a nice color scheme for it.

 photo DSC00864Large.jpg photo DSC00873Large.jpg photo DSC00877Large.jpg

Unfortunately I can't figure out which colors I used for this (I promise, next time I do anything like this, I will write down what I use), but I can tell you they're all by China Glaze, and the glitter polish on top is called Fairy Dust.

 photo DSC00879Large.jpg

That's all I have for you today, now I will go knit for a while, and then early to bed so that I will be ready for school in the morning.

Let me know what you think about these nail arts in the comments below!

Have a fabulous day ♥

Colorful details ♥

Hello everybody!

How has your week started? ♥

Mine took off with getting a shot for our trip abroad, not that we're going anywhere exotic, but still. Also, the weekend was amazing because we got to see our friends and did fun stuff and all that. Thank you K & A, we had a lot of fun! Last night, I was supposed to write this blog post, but instead was trying to cheer the Finns to win the ice hockey championship. That didn't happen, but when I was done watching the game, it was so late I couldn't think about blogging o using the laptop at all.

But now I'm here, and I really wanna share this outfit with you.

 photo DSC08519Large.jpg

This is from tiny bit colder days, but this week it's going to be rainy so this is sort of appropriate anyway. Very basic look, just spiced up with the colorful details like the name of the post tells you.

 photo DSC08575Large.jpg photo DSC08563Large.jpg photo DSC08534Large.jpg photo DSC08566Large.jpg photo DSC08545Large.jpg photo DSC08584Large.jpg photo DSC08516Large.jpg

Jeans: Cubus Top: secondhand Jacket: H&M Sneakers: Boohoo Bag: Boohoo Necklaces: Gina Tricot Bracelets: Gina Tricot, DIY, gift

So that kind of a look this time. I'm happy to tell you that this weather totally makes me wear so many different kinds of outfits, which naturally means many, many more posts to see here. Tomorrow, I will post another nail art post and later this week you will see things like thrift haul and another outfit post (maybe even more things if I just have the time).

Let me know what you guys think about this look, and tell me what colors you have been wearing lately, in the comments below!

Now, I need to head out to get some food for us, but I'll be back soon!

Have a fabulous day ♥

Rainbow vs. Neon Tips ♥

Hi everyone!

Happy Wednesday ♥ (or whatever day you're living while reading this)

I hope you're all doing fine today - I know I am, since things have been going so well lately. I've been learning how much people in my life really care about me, and that really has been pretty overwhelming. Also, I'm pretty hyped about spring even though this week we've been having a bit more chilly weather here. I would be so ready for skirts and shorts but I guess the transition outfits will have to do for now.

Anyway, because of the sunny days, I've been having so much fun with colorful nail polish, and today, I would like to show you couple of designs I've done this spring:

 photo DSC07325Large.jpg

First, these super cute neon rainbow nails with some gradient effect and matching little round studs. I don't know where I got the idea from, I guess I have seen the color scheme around the web somewhere, and just wanted go have my own twist by adding the studs.

 photo DSC07327Large.jpg

 photo DSC07330Large.jpg

The polishes I used were all by China Glaze, except for the orange one that is actually just from H&M. But the China Glaze shades I used were: Sun-Kissed, In The Limelight, Splish Splash, Escaping Reality and Surfin' For Boys. Studs are from Born Pretty Store.

 photo DSC07339Large.jpg

I had so much fun making these that I don't even mind that they didn't come out perfect. They were close enough for me. Making gradients is actually one of my favorite nail art techniques, and I could do my nails always with it. But for the sake of getting better at things, I do other stuff too.

 photo DSC07337Large.jpg

So that was the first look. But if you prefer more toned down, the next design might be the thing for you:

 photo DSC07390Large.jpg

Beige nails with neon tips. Also pretty fun thing to create, and easy, too. (For a French tip tutorial, check out this post!) This is appropriate for most of the places you might end up to, as it is showy, but still very subtle.

 photo DSC07394Large.jpg

 photo DSC07405Large.jpg

Oh, and don't mind about the weird middle finger there, the nail had a little accident and I tried to secure it a bit but the end result was a mess even a full manicure couldn't cover it.

 photo DSC07404Large.jpg

The polishes I used for this were all by China Glaze: Kalahari Kiss, Sun-Kissed, Sun Of A Peach, Flip Flop Fantasy, Escaping Reality and Surfin' For Boys. Can you see me having an addiction here? Me too.

 photo DSC07398Large.jpg

Also, yet again I wanted to remind you, that if you happen to place an order to the Born Pretty Store, do take advantage of the discount code JVNT10 to get 10% off your purchase! It's made especially for my readers and you can use it as often as you like. I don't get paid even if you order with it, it's just something I got for you while working with them. ;)

But, what do you guys think about these manicures? And, will you try out neons for your nails this spring/summer? Let me know in the comments! ♥

Now, as usual, it's time for this girl to head to bed and catch some sleep as it's a training day tomorrow and I really need my sleep!

Have a fantastic day ♥

Neon Green vs. Feathers

Hi sweeties!

How are you all? ♥

I just finished my second to last week of work before my summer vacation, and I'm so, so excited about the plans we have already for the time. But more on that later. (I'm already planning the posts for the time I can't access my laptop much, so even with me busy with life, the blog will roll. And I have my phone to check the comments every once in a while!)

Anyway, tomorrow is once again time for some nail art. Both of these designs are somewhat colorful (I love to use the neons in summer!) but they are still quite different.

 photo 8be3d8e4-1e36-4833-9182-87d6d2e1072e.jpg

First up, neon green goodness with some silver sparkles. Simple to the point, but having this little twist with the all silver accent nail.

 photo 272e9356-9df7-44cc-9ceb-1433b25f7a24.jpg

The colors I used were China Glaze In The Lime Light, Essie Set In Stones and IsaDora Silver Sparkles. There's also a thick coat of white polish under the green to make it more vibrant.

 photo ac7b124a-64f4-4a59-91fd-b2c410daada9.jpg

I'm usually a stranger when it comes to wearing green polish, but somehow every color looks lovelier in neon... So I ended up wearing green polish. And I liked it. A lot.

 photo 7258f715-3978-4bf7-8a65-2f4f6afe84f9.jpg

And after filing my nails down a bit, I changed the look of them completely - while keeping some elements similar:

 photo e4c723cd-d012-4f31-a23e-9d1ef2fe76ca.jpg

Neon, feathers, silver sparkles.... Love them! This is a design I have never ever tried before, but I think I should absolutely do something like this again soon.

 photo 2593e0c7-248a-4664-a1e1-2de8bffa1620.jpg

The colors I used were China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy, Essie Muchi Muchi, IsaDora Silver Sparkles, Essie  Set In Stones, and a bunch of nail art paints by Kiss.

 photo 0aae2113-491e-4b78-beb1-22c5b2dfde89.jpg

This is one is one of my personal favorites so far, I really loved every bit of this mani.

 photo b8ba32a8-3391-493d-a467-b3607011d561.jpg

Now, your turn: What do you think about these manis? And, which is your favorite?

Also, remember to go and submit some more questions to this post (click the link) so I can make you a fun answer post later on! Thank you so much!

Now this girl needs to go get a bit more social with the boys, who are playing NHL with such a big enthusiasm. ;) Tomorrow, we are going to the beach to get some tan and have a great time - and I can't wait for that! So, I better shut down the laptop soon, and get some sleep so I won't be a complete zombie in the morning. ;D

Have a lovely day! ♥

Blog ya later,

xoxo

Rainbow vs. Neutral

Hi lovelies!

What have you all been up to? ♥

I have been too much away for my laptop - I mean, as a blogger - since the weather has been lovely and we've been spending a lot of time with amazing people. So sorry for being a little MIA, but that's what happens in summer, right?

Anyway, today we were visiting amusement park and watching Formula 1 from TV with my cousin T and her boyfriend, followed by sunbathing including just us two. Luckily, the sun shines now right on my usual writing spot, so I can actually get it out of myself to write this post, hehe.

So today, I'm sharing two new manicures with you. I hope you like them! ;)

 photo DSC01759Large.jpg

First up, a very colorful leopard mani. I started by creating a gradient rainbow base, and then painted the leopard print over it. Looks kinda cool, huh?

 photo DSC01763Large.jpg

 photo DSC01765Large.jpg

I used China Glaze's polishes for this one, they have amazing neons in what seems to be in every summer collection, so it's easy to find the shades you love!

 photo DSC01768Large.jpg

 photo DSC01770Large.jpg

And the other mani is much more neutral, based with China Glaze Kalahari Kiss, and topped off with rhinestones, star stamping and glitter accent nail.

 photo DSC01772Large.jpg

 photo DSC01780Large.jpg

The picture doesn't do justice to the mani, this was actually more lovely in real life, but this will have to do for now.

 photo DSC01774Large.jpg

So, rainbow vs. neutral. Which one is your favorite? ♥

This girl is off now, to clean my closet and do my ab workout (more of which I will tell you about later). Talk to you guys later!

Have a great day!

Blog ya later,

xoxo
