Did you have a nice weekend?
I did. ;) We were in Pori, where my fiancé's friends and family live, and had lots of fun with people - which included hours long marathon of New Super Mario Bros Wii. That was so awesome. (Yes, I realize exactly how nerdy that might sound to you...) Also, we got the chance to check out our friends' new place, and give them a nice little house warming gift. (Which actually was an engagement gift and Christmas present at the same time, too)
I can't get over about how nice weekend we had - and we're going to hang out with the same people in New Year's Eve, which is probably going to be super fun!
I have some outfit photos of the weekend for you, but today, I'm posting a bit older stuff ;)
Outfit of the day
Pink shirt: GinaTricot, Dress: VILA, Earrings: H&M, Bangles: H&M, Leopard print bangle: Bijou Brigitte.
I wore this outfit a week ago, but haven't had the time to post it before this... But you know, a great style blogger always has a post or two in case of a weekend getaway ;)
Haven't got a close-up of my make-up for a while, so I thought we should fix it now. It's not much, but I liked it.
I have absolutely no idea why my eye looks so burning green in the pic... But it's kinda cool? :D (Oh, and note to anyone who hasn't taken this kind of pictures: it may make you feel a bit blind after few photos - especially if your camera has over-excited flash like my fiancé's Nokia N9 phone does.)
Anyways, let's move on to nail stuff! (A bit random order here, too, as I posted the present manicure on Friday, put these are supposed to be an inspiration to you all, so...
Manicure of the day
So, I played with a sponge again :) I love the effect it creates - you'll see it a bit better in the other two pictures :) Base: two layers of GOSH, shade 544 Pink Lady.
With the sponge, added some Mavala, shade Stockholm. I tried to create a fade-out effect, which is something I gotta learn a bit better ;D
Final touch with Mavala, shade 214 Violet Diamond (which you can win by entering my giveaway ;)) This was a manicure I liked really much, and will recreate sometimes.
I usually don't take too much advice about my manicures from anyone (my fiancé doesn't count) but I'd like to ask you: Is there a manicure you would like to see in this blog? I could try to make a simple tutorial for some technique, if you want :) I'll need something to do for my winter break coming up after this week, so.... Request colour combinations, themes, anything. I'll see what I can make up!
Also, kinda related to this: Thank you once again for being such an amazing readers! I have read your comments (again and again, I can admit) during the weekends, and it has really made me feel more than happy for hosting a little giveaway for you this month. ;)
When it comes to giveaways, I just heard Saturday that I had won one - more on that when I get my prize ;)
Now, I must go get a little rest, before reading to a test tomorrow and so on... But I'll be back in action and commenting back to you very soon!
Hope you're having a great start for your week!
