Last Outfit Post For This Month

Hi Lovelies!

How's your week going? Have you already started decorating for Christmas?

I have. Like I've told some of you, and mentioned in Twitter, I've got our tree already in a quite good shape (you can see a glimpse of it in the outfit pictures). Also, as I am in the holiday spirit already, I'll be arranging a giveaway with a cute little prize.

I'm sure you'll love it. So, come back tomorrow (that's Thursday, 1st December) to check out the giveaway.

Now, about the outfit. I wore this one on Sunday (yeah, a bit behind on my outfits, but... School is kicking my butt, so to say.) while shopping for the giveaway prize for you. It's comfy, but it has a lot of me in it.

I'm sorry about the blurry quality, my phone hates me. Not kidding.

Dear Santa Claus, please bring me a new, shiny, beautiful camera. I've been really kind. Seriously, I have.

Okay, so anyways, here's my...

Linkin Park T-shirt: from the gig in Finland this summer, Denim leggings: Tiger of Sweden, Vest: H&M, Boots: Kenkä Cosmos, Feather earrings: H&M, Pink plastic pearls: second-hand, Cross necklace: GinaTricot, Bangle (with letters): Pieces (Only), Bracelet (with rivets): Europehouse, Belt: Seppälä.

That outfit was really fun to wear, as it has a lot of details in it, and colours! And, those Tiger of Sweden leggings are a real favourite. I'm so happy I got them.

Have you found any new favourites to your wardrobe lately?

As I said, I'm getting in to a full-blown holiday spirit as Christmas approaches day by day. The biggest reason might be that my fiancé promised me such an amazing gift! I'll tell you more about that after I'm allowed to open it. ;)

Anyways, as I was dreaming about the holidays, I painted my nails to match the feeling:

As a base, Mavala's gorgeous red shade 2, Madrid. (I love how so many of these are named after cities, it's somehow cool.)

On top of that, I added 2-3 layers of the holiday approvable shade Glitter Red. I must admit, it didn't quite work as I'd expected, but over a colourful base, it works okay. Also, it looks a bit worse in pictures than it does in real life.

Anyways, I just got from school, and I'm now headed to the shops for food shopping and some more. :) And as I promised in some previous post, tomorrow starts my advent calendar updating on Twitter. If some of you are interested. Yes Laura, I'm referring to you. ;)

Have a beautiful day, everyone!

Glittery

Hey sweeties!

How was your weekend? :)

Mine was pretty fun, got to do lots of stuff, but also, as I was a tiny bit underdressed for the weather, I think I caught a cold. Yep, like you can imagine, I'm a bit sick. Again.

Gosh, I hate this.

Okay, it has its perks in a way. At least now, I can do some Christmas cleaning. And I put on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1, which I can watch while I tidy up the place. Oh, and I started putting together our Christmas tree. It's white, glittery and beautiful.

And when it comes to Christmas, haven't done a lot of shopping for it, but...

I got you a giveaway prize already ;) It's not hugely expensive - tight budget, remember - but I think it's cool. Totally something I would like to have. But more on that on Thursday, when the giveaway opens. So stay tuned.

Anyways, as I promised on Friday, here's my outfit from Saturday's party. (Yes, I was supposed to post this yesterday, but I needed to sleep instead... Sorry!)

Top (worn as a dress): GinaTricot, Shoes: SpiritStore, Feather headband: H&M, Handbag: Glitter, Cuff: GinaTricot, Bracelet (with fake diamonds): Spiritstore, Rings: GinaTricot.

I really loved wearing this outfit, felt totally glamorous. Though, at the end of the night, it was pretty cold, I must admit. But you know, sometimes it's simply style over comfort. ;)

I had a fun time with my fiancé's co-workers on Saturday, it was so fun to go out for a couple of drinks. We haven't really gone out that much because of the whole "let's save money for a getaway/holiday" business, I mean, unless you count in eating on a restaurant.

Which I don't.

Anyways, I guess I should get going now, lots of things to do - need to do some school work as well as to the dishes and clean the apartment. Not too into it, but... Got to be done.

So, everyone, have a fabulous week! I'm trying to catch up with your blogs every time I have few extra minutes to read something, but I'm more than sorry if I can't be commenting as much as I usually do.

But, blog ya later, darlings!

Shades of Brown

Hey babes,

How was your Thanksgiving? (That is, if you live somewhere where it's celebrated. I don't.)

If you missed my latest "Personal style" post because of the celebration, you can read it here. This time, just a normal outfit post, and on Sunday, I'll post a party look and also a food post. :) So that's what's going to happen this weekend.

Why a party outfit coming up? Well, my fiancé is having this pre-Christmas party with his collegues, and I'm tagging along to the after party. Haven't been at a bar for many weeks, so we'll see what'll happen. Can't wait!

Mainly excited to Finally get a proper reason to dress up!

Anyways, back to the normal day outfit.

Dress: "inherited" from someone, Top: Good Look, Shoes: SpiritStore, Heart necklace: gift from my mom, Leaf necklace: gift from one of my oldest friends, Butterfly ring: GinaTricot, Coat: Only.

I have secretly waited for the weather to get cold enough to bust out the brown coat I bought year ago. Still not cold enough, but I'm wearing it anyways. At least that way, I get to use my summer clothes - even though it's supposed to be winter already. Not really feeling it, though.

That dress is super short compared to the season, and oh boy, that seriously was enough to get 98% of people staring. Not my problem though, I just felt like wearing this. If I cared what people thought, I'd be wearing a tank top and jeans most of the days.

But I don't.

There was a problem with the dress though. As it is kinda light material, and it was kinda windy... Well, you do the math. Lucky that I have quick reflexes. :D

Okay, enough about that.

Moving on to nails!

Manicure of the Day

I was really into doing something colourful and girly, so here's what I came up with:

Photobucket

First, Depend shade 122 to every nail. Two coats to all but not to the ones I made statement nails.

Photobucket

For the statement nails, Mavala shade 214, Violet Diamond. Two coats over the bright pink base coat.

Photobucket

Finally, added a top coat, and done! Very easy, right? ;)

Then, I just MUST show you couple of cute things my fiancé bought me...

Photobucket

Yep, Hello Kitty chocolate figure. ;) (Because he got this chocolate christmas calendar from work and I didn't. Though he already carried chocolate home for me... Silly man.)

Photobucket

And yes, because my man firmly believes I'm child enough to need a Hello Kitty toy calendar. Yes girls, you heard me. I'm 21, and my fiancé thinks it's the brightest idea ever to give me a toy calendar.

Raise your hand if you, too, are a bit (or a lot) amused by this. :D

Well, they're cute, anyways. I'll be spamming my Twitter with the surprises I'll get from that calendar, so in next month, beware! Hehe.

Okay, so now, trying to crash to bed and get some much needed sleep before tomorrow. (Which is hard to do as my man decided he must tell me some stupid spooky stories about supernatural things and now I seriously can't sleep. Fun, huh?)

Blog ya later, and have a fabulous weekend everyone!

Simple and Sweet

Hey lovelies,

How was your weekend?

Mine was great, got to chill out enough - though I'm sure I'll catch a nice virus sooner or later - and met a few amazing new people, too.

Also, I learned how to make ombre nails, and got an early Christmas (or holiday season) gift from my fiancé.

Before I go on showing you my outfit, there's a couple of things I wanna mention.

Firstly, here's a newest recipe I'll share with you: Bruschetta with Prosciutto. One of my absolute favourites when it comes to snacks. And it looks something like this:

Photobucket

Then, the other thing. We all know how last Thursday, the Versace/H&M collaboration items hit the stores and people went all crazy, right?

Well, I never was too charmed about the whole collection as I feel it's one of those silly campaigns H&M uses to build a high fashion profile for itself. (Not that I don't like H&M, it's just that it's an open brand for everyone out there, as it's so affortable. Not a expensive one just for the rich people.) Then I saw this post from the blog A Brit Greek (if you haven't read it, do so now! I mean the blog and especially the post), and since then felt proud of myself for not getting anything from the collection.

Not that I'll judge Anyone who's purchased any of those items. It's not your fault. They're pretty cool patterns, after all.But please darlings, read the post above. Just so you know what' going on behind the scenes. Not that I mean to hurt anyone's feelings, I'd probably buy a Versace myself if I got the right chance. this just wasn't one of them.

I feel it's over-priced H&M, even though it might be designed by Versace. Maybe my head is just plain wrong about.

Anyways, moving on to lighter subject.

Meaning, let's see my Outfit of the Day

Top: H&M, Snake skin look leggings (or jeans): Tiger of Sweden, Boots: Kenkä Cosmos, Necklace (stars): Accessorize, Bracelet: GinaTricot.

Wanted a simple little outfit for today, as the only thing to do was go to look for some clothes for my man. Had a bit un eventful day, but, it was Sunday, so...

Yesterday (Saturday) went by looking at tv shows (Gossip Girl, Glee, Vampire Diaries, Desperate Housewives...) and then in the evening we went to spa, where we accidentally met my fiancé's colleague and his girlfriend (amazing people, I must say) ;)

Oh, wanted to put on a small close-up of my make-up:

Photobucket

I'm very eager to post some make-up tutorial here, but as I want it also to be useful to you all, I'm asking you:

What make-up tutorial would you want to see here?

All suggestions will be considered, and if possible, done for you (in some period of time).

One thing I found useful tutorial for, was ombre nails. I saw them in the blog Haute Couture, written by the lovely young Grace (I love your style, gorgeous!), in this post, and thought I'd try my version of them.

Manicure of the Day

Photobucket

French manicure meets ombre. Or something as twisted.

Photobucket

Mavala, shade 34, Nicosia. One of my favourite nude nail polishes.

Photobucket

IsaDora Wonder Nail, shade 651, Silver Sparkles (yes, I'm using it again. I just love it so, so much).

Photobucket

The top coat I'm using right now, Depend Quick & Shine Top Coat. Cheap and working.

What do you think about the nails? Personally I'm liking them pretty much. Not as colourful as most of my nail art, but as great anyways.

Today, as mentioned, we went shopping a bit. I bought some great hair stuff and mandatory magazines, which I'll talk about when I've actually learned something about them. ;)

What I'll leave you now with, is a picture of the most delicious cake I've eaten for a while:

Photobucket

Blood Orange Cake. Yummy! I so wish I had that recipe.

But anyways, I'm off to bed now.

Have a fabulous week everyone!

Blog ya later,

xoxo
