Hey darlings,
Yes, I'm very excited about everything - again. I've been having the most wonderful day with the closest people I got. We went to one of my favourite restaurants, ordered tasty food, chatted a lot, and when we got back home, we spent some more quality time.
The restaurant we went to is called New York, and as the name tells, they serve food that's completely inspired by America. I ordered Surf 'n' Turf, which is a meal I've loved in another restaurant (Coyote) and wanted to test drive it in New York, too. It looked like this:
And yes, it was as good as it looks! :) As dessert, my mom wanted all of us to order Sunny Manhattans, which is a cool non-alcoholic drink I had praised to her earlier. And it didn't disappoint me.
Well, how could anything looking like that disappoint you? Seriously?
After this, we headed back home, made ourselves comfortable (and I played hide-and-seek with my handbag... it's better you don't ask...) and then, well...
Oh yeah, we ate more. What do you expect, it's a family night? :D We put out this lovely mini buffet in our livingroom, with wine and cheese. (and crackers and ficus jam)
And just to make sure that everyone gets their 10 000 kcal for the day, I got something else on my sleeve too:
I baked lemon meringue pie for the first time in my life, just to find out it's totally delish! You can find the recipe here. It looked something like this:
Okay, I know this post is a bit heavy on food photos, but... That's what my day's been about :D
Not that I didn't look fabulous, too ;) Er, well, at least I tried to look. That's more up to you if I really did. Nonetheless, here's todays
Outfit of the day
(it's crazy how I git the other eye fixed, but the other just stayed red... thanks a lot, Photobucket.)
Top: H&M, Skirt: self-made (yeah guys, 100% mine), Boots: Andiamo, Bracelet: Thomas Sabo, Necklace: Seppälä, Belt: my mom's old one, loving it <3.
Very simple outfit, that wouldn't have happened without that belt. I mean it. Tried to dress up girly, put in the bow and all, but still had kinda comfortable outfit. I think. I absolutely adore that skirt to bits - if you don't mind me saying so - because the fabric I used for it is amazing. Didn't think it should be shadowed by a showy top, so paired it with a simple white H&M tee.
That's all for the outfit, what do you guys think?
And most of all, how's your weekend going? :)
Gotta hit the bed now - others are sleeping already - but I'll be back posting the rest of the weekend as soon as I can ;) Have a great rest of the weekend!
Blog ya later,
xoxo
