Winter Wedding Look

In January, one of my best friends - also my maid of honor in my wedding a couple of years ago - got married to her boyfriend of many years. The ceremony was small and intimate and very much fitting for them, and I didn't take a ton of photos - also I share even less here - because I feel that's how they prefer it. But I did want to share my look I wore to the event because I really liked it.

And I also wanted to share a little something because this crosses off another item from my bucket list: #17: Attend a wedding

Our Wedding Party

Hey lovelies!

How was your weekend? ♥

We've been chilling at home and I've been doing some stuff for school as well as shooting for the blog (and Instagram) and playing some video games. The relaxation has been necessary. Today, I'm finally sharing some pictures from our wedding, which aren't that many because our party was quite private - and because most pictures were of our loved ones and I don't really want to share their pics without their permission. I won't actually be blabbering more than this, but I will rather let the pictures speak for themselves.

So there, bits and pieces from our special day. There's still a lot of things to do, like thank you cards, changing my name to all the cards, getting new email addresses and so on. (Which makes me want to write about a kind of "what to remember when getting married" sort of post for those of you who haven't yet gone through all this.) Our wedding was pretty casual event with our closest friends, and we feel like it was absolutely perfect that way. We got to celebrate our future life together with the people we love, and that's all we needed.

I can't wait to create an actual album with paper pictures during this Autumn so that I can go through that with friends and family in the future and remember the happy moments we all had that day. And with our friends, also in the evening. I feel so blessed because we have so many amazing people in our lives that we can call friends and family - and I can't wait to start our own little one with this man. (Although, don't expect babies just yet.)

I hope you all liked this little peek to our wedding ♥

I need to go to bed now, since tomorrow, I need to take care of some post-wedding things, and I need to look fresh for that (who else loves passport pics?). I will be back tomorrow with another post, so stay tuned for that. And also, follow me on social media for more frequent updates!

Have a fantastic start for the new week!

My Bachelorette Party

Hello lovelies!

I hope you're all having a fantastic Tuesday ♥

I'm super excited about today's post, as I finally get to show you bits and pieces of my bachelorette party (or hen night or bridal shower, whatever you wanna call it). My friends were amazing and threw me such a lovely day to celebrate us getting married. We had a crew of five ladies, and we had so much fun.

The day started off with a picnic on a lovely beach spot. We had nice selection of girly treats and some sparkling wine to start the day. Also notice my super awkward face while opening the bottle. And yes, it was quite windy, thanks for asking.

My program of the day was built around a "wife exam", which was supposed to test whether I am wife material. There were different tasks for me to go through, and most of them were planned so that all the girls took part as well.

I was especially excited about the F1 Wife part, where the girls tested whether my knowledge of the sport is accurate enough since I'm marrying a F1 fanatic.

For the curious minds, I can proudly tell that I passed with flying colors. I got all of them right. After this, we had more active engagements:

...and some blind walking. This devious little part was actually part of my surprise of the day, since it really meant:

"You're going climbing with your eyes closed!" I gotta say this was so much fun. I wish I would've had more strength in my hands so I could've gotten another round with eyes open, but with all the excitement and uncertainty of what I was really doing, I gave too much of the strength in round one. But I will definitely try this again, it was really fun!

I made it out alive, and got a drink too! After this, we had very relaxed night with good food, some drinks and lots of talk. It was so nice to have a proper girls' night after such a long while. The last couple of pics are from Intro, where we dined and had drinks, and they're taken with phone so sorry if the quality ain't the best.

That's what I have for you today, bits and pieces of my party night. I realized I didn't take proper outfit pics or anything, but I hope you can get some of the happy vibes we all had the whole day. Big thanks to my girls (especially maid of honors) for giving me such an awesome party. I love you all so, so much and it was the best to spend time with you. I hope we can do girls' night again soon!

What are your memories of a bridal showers etc., if you've been to one? Let me know in the comments!

I'm off now, but you can follow me around on social media, where I try to update all sorts of little things about the wedding and other things. I still have my #julybeautychallenge going on on Instagram, so if you like beauty stuff, let me know there so I can try to whip something up here on the blog as well. Tomorrow, we will talk a bit about makeup, so stay tuned for that.

Have an amazing day ♥

Glam Up with Anjolee

Hello lovelies!

How are you all today? ♥

I've been pretty swamped with everything, especially because of the upcoming wedding and the fact I actually need six to nine hours of sleep every day. So if I'm MIA for a couple of days from the blogosphere, I'm just sorting out my wedding. So no need to worry.

And as I'm all about weddings, what better idea than to talk a bit about girly jewelry? Today I'm teaming up with Anjolee to show you some of my current favorites in their collection. These would be perfect accessories for weddings and other fancy events, and I would definitely wear their jewelry for special occasions if I had the chance. All the pictures borrowed from their website, so big thanks for Anjolee for letting me use them for the post!

First up some gorgeous bracelets I found browsing their site. Especially the third one is right up my alley, as you can probably believe if you're a long-time reader here. I love how sparkly they all look, and I can only imagine how stunning they are in real life.

Next up are some earrings. Can you guess my favorite?

Yes, the bottom right on it is. Although they are probably all very flashy, I can definitely name the journey earrings my favorite. They look like a perfect match to a gorgeous evening gown. Definitely even red carpet material.

Then, some necklaces. Although I'm an avid fan of long necklaces, these sophisticated ones did caught my eye while browsing the site. Especially the top one looks like something I would wear on a special occasion, I love the design a lot.

Last but not least, wedding rings. I have mine picked out (I'll show that to you closer to the wedding), but I still love browsing the options. The thing I like about Anjolee's selection is that they have these adorable matching sets of engagement and wedding rings. That's cool because it makes sure your two rings are actually made for each other - like husbands and wives, right? These four sets definitely caught my eye the most, and my absolute favorite here is the first one. It reminds me of my own set of rings (though mine, in real life, aren't completely matching, just close enough) and I could see that in my finger if I didn't have ones already.

If you like how these precious things look, I recommend you to check out Anjolee's site. Their jewelry can be customized to your taste, they offer different metals and jewels, though the option differ from design to design. Like I said, I'm personally very fond of their wedding ring sets (click the link to see more of them) and I'm sure there are some of you reading this that enjoy their jewelry as well.

What is your dream wedding ring like? Let me know in the comments!

Now this bride-to-be needs to hop in the shower and get to bed so I have the energy to face tomorrow and the new challenges. On Saturday, it's time for my bachelorette party, and I'm super excited to see what the girls have come up with. Also, tomorrow I'm starting the #junebeautychallenge on Instagram, so tag along there if you're into beauty related things. Let's do it together!

Have a fabulous week ♥

Our Wedding Journey: Designing the Invites

Hello lovelies!

How are you all? ♥

I've had a nice weekend away from the computer, which was much needed after starting the internship and working more or less on a computer 8 hours per day. Not to worry though, my writing schedule be more on point after the coming week as I get some things over and done with.

As you might have read here, my man and I are getting married this summer, and there are quite many things we need to take care of before the big day. Our party will be quite casual, but I'd like to share some little details here with you along the way. One of them being the invites, which have been mailed to our loved ones some days ago. I have showed a sneak peek a while back on my Instagram, but let's talk a bit about it here on the blog as well.

I definitely wanted to make our cards myself, especially since we didn't need that many and we wanted quite simple ones. The hardest point here was choosing the colors, but we opted for this cute pink (which I love a lot, like I love everything pink) with black and white detailing.

DSC05324 (Large)DSC05322 (Large)DSC05321 (Large)DSC05320 (Large)

I'm not much of a calligrapher, so I chose word stickers instead (otherwise we would've have different writing in every invite). We used some lace and handmade bows to give the invites a romantic touch. And yes, I made the bows myself, using ribbon and fork. Not too difficult, since there are tons of tutorials to help you out.

The cards ended up looking like this, and we sent them out in pink envelopes. I also created a appropriate texts inside with all the needed details, but for privacy reasons I won't be sharing those here. But I can tell you this much: I pictured what I wanted the insides of the cards to look like, and then hunted down free fonts from the internet. I searched for fonts one can use without credit when doing non-commercial stuff. I found nice ones from here: http://www.1001freefonts.com/ (Always check the source so that you know if a donation or other credit is needed to use the fonts.)

So that, in all shortness is how our wedding invites turned out. We are pretty happy with them, and we hope our guests like them as well. Now all I need is an outfit for the big day, and I'm mostly done with the preparations. We'll see what more I can post about the event before the day itself.

But now, I really need to hit the bed as I need to be up nice and early tomorrow morning. I'm guessing I will be having another tough week since I'm still so new to the workplace and I have a ton to learn. I will be back soon however, since I have so many posts I simply need to get out here to remain any of my planned schedule. Stay tuned!

Have a great start for your week!

Let's be friends in IG!
