Chevron vs. Leopard

Heya babes!

How are you all? ♥

I really wish I had blogged more this week, but to be honest I haven't felt like being on the laptop so much. The weather has been so nice for jogging, I had to re-think my schedules now that I'm back to work, and I've been reorganizing the house like a lunatic. So while I feel sad for not blogging as much as I would've wanted, I also feel happy with myself because the apartment is starting to look better than ever. I guess after the Easter I can actually do some new little detail things around because I have decluttered our place so well.

But I will probably talk more about that later on. Today, I just wanted to bring you this little nail art post with two designs I've absolutely loved this spring.

 photo DSC07457Large.jpg

First up is this cute little mani with gradient, glitter and chevron. It's very simple even though it kinda seems to have a lot of elements, and I can hands down say that this really is one of my favorite manicures ever. Top 10 material for sure.

 photo DSC07473Large.jpg

I saw colors like this on someone else's mani, but as I'm typing this I really can't figure out who that girl was. I'm sure she's one of the amazingly talented individuals on Instagram, because that's where I get most of my inspiration.

 photo DSC07460Large.jpg

This was also my first time properly using the Tribal Colour polish (the glitter) I got from Born Pretty Store. This one is shade 24, though when you order it, it's shade #4. (You can get yours here!) It kinda sorta reminds me of Model's Own Ibiza Mix, but I'm pretty sure these two aren't dupes. I will do a comparison if I ever get a hold of the Model's Own one.

 photo DSC07463Large.jpg

The other polishes I used here were China Glaze Sun Of A Peach, China Glaze Escaping Reality, China Glaze Splish Splash and China Glaze White On White. The chevron print was done with Nail Vinyls (check the Storenvy store here) chevron pack.

 photo DSC07477Large.jpg

Before the other mani, I wanted to share a quick swatch picture with you. Like I mentioned in my China Glaze haul post, I have been on hunt for the perfect baby pink polish. And, as I also thought while writing that post, I can conclude my search being done.

 photo DSC07590Large.jpg

Let me properly introduce you to China Glaze Spring In My Step. It's the perfect baby pink for me, and even though it might require 3 coats, it's worth the trouble as the shade is so absolutely perfect. My camera wasn't too willing to capture the true shade, but this comes kinda close after a tiny bit of filtering.

Don't you love it, too?

 photo DSC07596Large.jpg

Okay, so, back with manicures, right? Here's my other mani for today. Pink, glitter and leopard. You know, like, totally my thing. If you ever thought I would finally be over leopard, I'm sorry to disappoint you (well, not really that sorry, but still).

 photo DSC07598Large.jpg

This one would've been pretty cool even without the little rhinestones, but I thought they added fun texture to the whole thing so that's why they're there too. I get it might be a bit much to some, but to me that's just perfect. You know how I am with nails.

 photo DSC07604Large.jpg

The polilshes I used here were China Glaze Spring In My Step, Essie Licorice, Gosh Blue Balloon and China Glaze Don't Be A Flake. I know Don't Be A Flake is gorgeous at it's own, but I really wanted to bring my own twist to this simple mani, so I tried to pick rhinestones that matched the colors, and topped the glitter nails with them. I absolutely loved the texture they brought to the manicure, and would totally try it again later on.

 photo DSC07615Large.jpg

So, that's all I have for you now, I'm so excited for these two designs.

What do y'all think about these? And, as usual, I'd like to know what you're wearing on your nails? What's the shade you love this spring? ♥

Now, I'm gonna go kick some butt on NHL14, but I try to be back as soon as possible with some girly posts of some sort. Stay tuned, stay fabulous, and see you soon!

Have a fab day ♥

Rock Chick ♥

Hey babes!

How are you all? Did you have a great weekend? ♥

I've been enjoying the last bits of my vacation, of course I still have tomorrow, but I pretty much need tomorrow to get the house ready for the normal routine. I hope getting back to work won't mess up my sleeping rhythm that I just got in place, as I'm very happy with waking up earlyish and getting in bed at sensible hour. Though I guess regular exercise will help a lot.

Today, I really wanted to share another outfit with you. If the previous one was kinda very girly, this one certainly is more typical me. Regardless of my medium long blonde locks and way too long nails, I'm such a tomboy with my clothing. And if I get the chance, I always make the look as rock'n'roll as I possibly can.

 photo DSC07621Large.jpg

I really don't know what to say about this look, I just felt like wearing something simple and comfy and I wanted to give it some more street style vibe. So I figured adding the scarf, necklace and sunnies, the whole outfit would actually seem like it's put together.

I've been loving these sunglasses in both black and pink so, so much. I can actually promise you you'll be seeing these way too often this summer.

My fave pair ♥ They're getting all worn out, but I love them even more when they do that. I know, I'm weird like that.

 photo DSC07644Large.jpg

So yeah, that's another typical look for you guys to see. I'm so excited the weather makes the nature get all ready to spring and summer, so we can soon go around on prettier locations than this half-dead front yard (though this will be gorgeous too when the plants get alive). I have so, so many outfit plans I really want to get photographed, so I'm sure you'll enjoy reading the posts later on this spring.

But, the question remains: What do you all think about this look? And, what have you been wearing lately? ♥

Now, I gotta go catch up with couple of TV shows and get some snack before bed. It's again a serious training day tomorrow so I need my food and rest. Also, I'm still working on my closet reorganization. I know, it sounds crazy but I have a LOT of stuff in there. And I still have my pants, dresses, blazers, shoes and such to go through. It's taking me forever....

Anyway, I gotta dash now. See you soon!

Have a fantastic start for your week ♥

Chiffon Tunic ♥

Hi everyone ♥

How are you all today?

I've been trying to commit to my closet cleanup project for the past couple of days, so sitting on my laptop hasn't really been an option for me. Too bad in a way, because I've had so many blogging ideas on my mind. Well, luckily I've written them down so I can do them later on. ;)

Wanna know how my project is doing? Well, so far it's going smoothly, yesterday was mostly planning and doing laundry - a.k.a. prepping and today I went through all my tops (you know, like tees, tank tops, spaghetti straps and so on) and actually find couple of things that had to go. Also, as I'm typing, I'm trying to get some life into old white tops with bleaching them gently. I hope that'll go somewhat well. I think I might just go through my knits, hoodies and other long-sleevd items before bed, so I could start with the jeans tomorrow.

Enough rambling about my clothing problems? Alrighty.

Let's just see the outfit I have for you today:

 photo DSC07543Large.jpg

This simple spring look is something I wore two weeks ago when our parents were visiting, and I needed some cute and comfy to relax in. I really wanted a clear touch of spring into the look, so I went pretty nude with the colors and chose lighter materials.

I personally really enjoyed wearing this look, maybe because it's quite a bit more feminine than the stuff I usually wear. I can't wait to wear that chiffon dress more or less on it's own, but for the time being it's a bit too cold for that. Also, I love that I can finally start living in my leather jackets again, they are seriously my go-to pieces which I couldn't go without.

What are your necessity pieces, clothing-wise? And of course, what do you think about this look? ♥

Now, I'm gonna heat up some decaf tea, check out how my bleaching is going, and of course, go continue a bit my closet reorganisation. I will try to make a bit of a post about that one too later on.

Have a fabulous day ♥

Rainbow vs. Neon Tips ♥

Hi everyone!

Happy Wednesday ♥ (or whatever day you're living while reading this)

I hope you're all doing fine today - I know I am, since things have been going so well lately. I've been learning how much people in my life really care about me, and that really has been pretty overwhelming. Also, I'm pretty hyped about spring even though this week we've been having a bit more chilly weather here. I would be so ready for skirts and shorts but I guess the transition outfits will have to do for now.

Anyway, because of the sunny days, I've been having so much fun with colorful nail polish, and today, I would like to show you couple of designs I've done this spring:

 photo DSC07325Large.jpg

First, these super cute neon rainbow nails with some gradient effect and matching little round studs. I don't know where I got the idea from, I guess I have seen the color scheme around the web somewhere, and just wanted go have my own twist by adding the studs.

 photo DSC07327Large.jpg

 photo DSC07330Large.jpg

The polishes I used were all by China Glaze, except for the orange one that is actually just from H&M. But the China Glaze shades I used were: Sun-Kissed, In The Limelight, Splish Splash, Escaping Reality and Surfin' For Boys. Studs are from Born Pretty Store.

 photo DSC07339Large.jpg

I had so much fun making these that I don't even mind that they didn't come out perfect. They were close enough for me. Making gradients is actually one of my favorite nail art techniques, and I could do my nails always with it. But for the sake of getting better at things, I do other stuff too.

 photo DSC07337Large.jpg

So that was the first look. But if you prefer more toned down, the next design might be the thing for you:

 photo DSC07390Large.jpg

Beige nails with neon tips. Also pretty fun thing to create, and easy, too. (For a French tip tutorial, check out this post!) This is appropriate for most of the places you might end up to, as it is showy, but still very subtle.

 photo DSC07405Large.jpg

Oh, and don't mind about the weird middle finger there, the nail had a little accident and I tried to secure it a bit but the end result was a mess even a full manicure couldn't cover it.

 photo DSC07404Large.jpg

The polishes I used for this were all by China Glaze: Kalahari Kiss, Sun-Kissed, Sun Of A Peach, Flip Flop Fantasy, Escaping Reality and Surfin' For Boys. Can you see me having an addiction here? Me too.

 photo DSC07398Large.jpg

Also, yet again I wanted to remind you, that if you happen to place an order to the Born Pretty Store, do take advantage of the discount code JVNT10 to get 10% off your purchase! It's made especially for my readers and you can use it as often as you like. I don't get paid even if you order with it, it's just something I got for you while working with them. ;)

But, what do you guys think about these manicures? And, will you try out neons for your nails this spring/summer? Let me know in the comments! ♥

Now, as usual, it's time for this girl to head to bed and catch some sleep as it's a training day tomorrow and I really need my sleep!

Have a fantastic day ♥

Let's be friends in IG!
