Chiffon Tunic ♥

Hi everyone ♥

How are you all today?

I've been trying to commit to my closet cleanup project for the past couple of days, so sitting on my laptop hasn't really been an option for me. Too bad in a way, because I've had so many blogging ideas on my mind. Well, luckily I've written them down so I can do them later on. ;)

Wanna know how my project is doing? Well, so far it's going smoothly, yesterday was mostly planning and doing laundry - a.k.a. prepping and today I went through all my tops (you know, like tees, tank tops, spaghetti straps and so on) and actually find couple of things that had to go. Also, as I'm typing, I'm trying to get some life into old white tops with bleaching them gently. I hope that'll go somewhat well. I think I might just go through my knits, hoodies and other long-sleevd items before bed, so I could start with the jeans tomorrow.

Enough rambling about my clothing problems? Alrighty.

Let's just see the outfit I have for you today:

This simple spring look is something I wore two weeks ago when our parents were visiting, and I needed some cute and comfy to relax in. I really wanted a clear touch of spring into the look, so I went pretty nude with the colors and chose lighter materials.

I personally really enjoyed wearing this look, maybe because it's quite a bit more feminine than the stuff I usually wear. I can't wait to wear that chiffon dress more or less on it's own, but for the time being it's a bit too cold for that. Also, I love that I can finally start living in my leather jackets again, they are seriously my go-to pieces which I couldn't go without.

What are your necessity pieces, clothing-wise? And of course, what do you think about this look? ♥

Now, I'm gonna heat up some decaf tea, check out how my bleaching is going, and of course, go continue a bit my closet reorganisation. I will try to make a bit of a post about that one too later on.

Have a fabulous day ♥

Colorful Glitter vs. Gold Stripes

Hi lovelies!

How are you all? ♥

I've been busy as usual, with work, life and such. This post was supposed to see the light of day yesterday, but better late than never, right? I've been doing little more organizing at home, and I hope I get to show you some of that soon enough. ;) The reason for that is that as the weather is getting seriously colder, and I have to spend more time inside, so the place needs to look extra nice. Today, we got our first glimpse of winter as it snowed outside. Though, it didn't stay, yet, but it reminded us that the cold season is seriously starting.

Anyways, today I wanted to show you some more nail art. Both manicures today are somewhat geometric, but otherwise totally different.

First, a mint base, triangles, and a milky glitter polish.

I actually loved the glitter polish so much more than I thought I would, it's so unique compared to the other ones I have. But that's just because it's hard and expensive to get the gorgeous indie glitter bombs here in Finland, as most of the best indie makers are based in the US. But, once I have a full-time job, I'm sure I can at least get few. Or, after No Buy months such as this one.

The polishes used here are Essie Mint Candy Apple, China Glaze It's A Trap-eze and Kiss Nail Art Paint in turquoise. I also used tape to create the triangles more neatly.

The other one today is a tape manicure as well - though with this one I simply used striping tape. This is one of the things you can easily do if you want something different, but don't feel like painting something complicated. I promise that everyone can do this, all you need is a striping tape, scissors, two polishes, and a little time.

This kind of manicure is great for any place, and any time, since it's basically just a French manicure with a twist. You can do this with any colors, as long as the one for the tips has enough pigment to cover the other one.

The polishes I used for this were Essie Muchi Muchi and China Glaze Gossip Over Gimlets. I love the China Glaze one, the gold color is simply amazing. I can't wait to use this color again, and I really need to try this for stamping.

So, that kind of simple designs today.

What do you think of these manicures? And which one is your favorite? ♥

Now, I gotta go plan my polish reorganizing tomorrow, as well as get some tea for late night blog reading, so I'll be back later with another post. Stay tuned!

Have a fun weekend!

Blog ya later,

xoxo

Glitter nail art, two ways

Heya lovelies!

How are you today? ♥

I woke up this morning to this HUGE noise by our buildings renovation (thank God we get to move out) at 7:55am. Not cool. I'm on a break, for heaven's sake! Well, the good thing is that I get to balance my sleeping schedule back to great after six months or so when it has been bad.

And as many of you always want to know what I'm up to and so on, I might as well tell that I went to see a school nurse yesterday for school stress and the insomnia it has cost me. She gave me a lot of great advice, and we also checked my blood values, and turns out I'm anemic on top of everything. So after an hour of crying at her office about how stressed I am, I got home with a small pile of papers to read, book recommendations and so on. And I must say, it feels good now.

So do not worry about me, because everything is fine. The school just seems like a lot to take right now, but I'm sure I can find a solution for that, too. And according to the nurse, moving to a new place and reorganizing my life will help significantly. And I'm sure she's right, a clean slate is exactly what I need now. Luckily I have a fiance who is such a rock for me, I don't know how I'd go through everything without him.

Sorry for burdening you all with my little worries, but somehow I felt like this was something I want to share. Anyways, to more happy things - like mentioned, the moving is coming closer and closer day by day, and I get more and more excited as time goes by. :) We have so many ideas for the new place, and luckily we have quite the same view on how to decorate the place. I guess it'll go like this: My fiance draws the main lines on how the big furniture goes, and I get to plan the place of most little details that make the personality of the apartment. ;) Can't wait to show you everything!

Okay, the post is getting way out of hand... Let's move on to the main point, which is once again manicures.

Photobucket

Very simple girly mani with a little leopard print and glitter accent nail. I seriously love that glitter polish, it's from China Glaze's United in Purpose collection. Look at the rainbow sparkle!

Also, excuse the weird thumb, it had a bad time when I had this mani on, but I didn't want to cut them all down.

Photobucket

So that's the first glitter manicure. Ready for another?

Great. Here we go!

Photobucket

This was a bit more earthly, with China Glaze Kalahari Kiss and Glitter Goblin. The glitter was once again impossible to shoot, the pictures don't give justice to the multi-color shine it has to it.

Photobucket

Lol, can you see the marks on my hand? I clearly had been writing on my calendar before taking the photos. I have no idea how I manage to mess up my hands every time, though. :D

Photobucket

This is an overall bad pic, but it shows kinda nicely the colors on the glitter. Btw, if there's a reader here who knows the best way to photograph glitter polish, please share the tips with me - and of course, with the other readers. Thank you! ♥

Photobucket

I don't know about you, but personally I just love the base - Kalahari Kiss - because it's such a pretty shade.  I really need to do a new mani with it very soon. ;)

So, I would love to hear what you think. Do you like these manicures? And what colors have you used for your nails lately? Share your thoughts in comments! ♥

Blog ya later,

xoxo
