Sometimes you need to think out of the box. Like I did for this prompt of the #clairestelle8march challenge. The prompt was Mermaids & Mermen. I could've done a pretty duochrome thing with scales, but I didn't have the duochromes, no do I have anything to do the scales with. So I had to think differently. So I went on image search on Google and found an amazing gradient, which inspired me to do this design.

Couple of weeks ago, I attended a concert, and I wanted to wear something rock chic as far as my makeup goes. So, I tried to somewhat recreate Elize Ryd's makeup from Amaranthe's music video "Maximize" (as it has been constantly playing in my head lately). Which is a bomb song, and if you haven't heard it, you should do it below:

Today's topic is probably again a little controversial, but something that I feel needs to be talked about because I feel not enough people do. Ethical fashion and conscious shopping. Now, I can't say I'm a model student or anything as it is, and I can openly admit I still have a lot to learn, but I'm keen on making my closet more ethical as I can.

Continuing the challenge I started here, in today's post I'll share another set of mythical nails. I must admit, I haven't used most techniques enough to really make things as pretty as I want to, but I take this challenge as a good excuse to practise more. Creating phoenix nails sounded like fun, because I could use colors of the fire and I also had some foils to add into them.

I've shared many things with you throughout the years, but I think night time routine isn't one of them. Having a routine before bed is one of the key things to get a good night's sleep, and I for one love getting myself all relaxed before going to bed. Of course having a pretty environment for that helps too, so I've tried my best to make the bedroom as cozy as possible despite my blogging corner being there as well. So our bedroom has an aesthetic of white and light grey with some blackish details and only hint of color. That is a peaceful colorscheme for me and I've slept so well in this new place.

In January, one of my best friends - also my maid of honor in my wedding a couple of years ago - got married to her boyfriend of many years. The ceremony was small and intimate and very much fitting for them, and I didn't take a ton of photos - also I share even less here - because I feel that's how they prefer it. But I did want to share my look I wore to the event because I really liked it. 

And I also wanted to share a little something because this crosses off another item from my bucket list: #17: Attend a wedding 

Finally back into nail art as well. I came across a fun nail art challenge by @clairestelle8 on Instagram, and as it only has 8 designs to do I figured I'd give it a go. It would fuel my inspiration with nails, but also it's not that serious if I forget to do one or don't have time for all of them. The first prompt was Unicorns, and below you can see how my version turned out:

After decluttering my closet and really putting thought into how many clothes I really need - and what kind of items I want to own (as seen here), I wanted to take the challenge one step further. I wanted to create a capsule wardrobe, which would include the core items of the season we're currently in, so that picking out an outfit for each day would be an easier process.

The things I had as quidelines were:

- Rock chic

- Mix of totally me & office appropriate

- Red, blue, black, white and grey as main colors

- Only own clothes you love (apart from few that you need in addition)

Finally, the moving is done. It took a lot of effort and some time to get everything look nice, but we actually got the place so ready already that I want to share some little snapshots with you today. I'm sure you'll see more during the Spring, but here are some of my current favorite things in the new place.
